181  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Unconfirmed Parent? on: October 26, 2016, 10:37:45 PM
Okay thank you wrote them a message, downloading Bitcoin Core atm, how long does a drop out of my tx from the network take?

2 to 3 days would do as long as no one rebroadcasts the tx every now and then.
182  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitcoin never arrived... please help! on: October 26, 2016, 10:23:04 PM
hello - I am wondering if anyone can help me... I sent btc to a deposit address on bitblender and after nearly two hours it has still not shown up... even as unconfirmed... it has had six confirmations in blockchain...what do I do in this situation... I have been using the site for over a year and never had an issue until today...advice is greatly needed... thanks!

Can you post the URL of the site? People have gotten scammed by a fake site (bitblender.org and bitcoinblender.org). Real site is bitblender.io
183  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Help with "lost" coins (says Double spend) on: October 26, 2016, 10:10:03 PM
Double spending means that you tried to send the same bitcoins more than once. Only one of those 2 transactions will confirm and if those two transactions are payments to 2 different services/person then one of them will lose the payment. You (the sender) will not lose anything.

The reason why the first transaction takes a long time and ended up returning to your wallet is because you used a low fee. Use dynamic fee and set it to high to avoid this kind of problems.
184  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Unconfirmed Parent? on: October 26, 2016, 09:51:47 PM
Hello,

I have a little issue with an Electrum transaction. I did not know that if there is a unconfirmed transaction, it is possbile to use this unconfirmed money for a transaction. After the unconfirmed transaction appeared, I sent my other money to a fresh Electrum wallet. A part of the fees was paid by the unconfirmed transaction (0.0099328 BTC), I sent 4.8 BTC to my other wallet, now everything is frozen. The first small unconfirmed transaction is not confirming and now I am sitting here after almost 30 hours, looking at my two wallets and the two "Unconfirmed parent" stamps...

First small transaction which wonīt confirm (maybe to small / fees -> itīs only Medium Priority)

https://blockchain.info/tx/773ae0de77d8839732f8c3b89199fda73ca0529b92f19cc052b788c4acce057e

And the transaction to my other wallet:

https://blockchain.info/tx/e3fd371ca3239a1e027624e85f4f5a3c691a5a57ac54b947d6e19e069008fc2f

What should I do now? Wait untill the first one arrives? Double-spend (not 100% sure about what I have to do, need good tutorial)?
Canīt do my stuff...

Regards

Wait for the first tx to confirm. Both transactions have low fees so it probably will take a long time. If those txes stays unconfirmed for days your tx will eventually be dropped from the network. You'll be able to resend with higher fees then.
You can try contacting macbook-air or Quickseller and ask them to push your transactions to F2pool (they may ask for a small payment).
185  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: problem, my wallet is blocked what is happening? on: October 26, 2016, 08:50:48 PM
I said block because it seems to be block as nothing happens since 3 days (!).

Are you sure of what you say?  If so, thank you very much!

But i just didn't touch the "fee" parametres in my wallet, they are 0.00005 (?) automatically?  I never touch this option before and i never had problems as this one before.

So you really think it's the reason and it will be resolve automatically?

Can i do something to make it faster as make my fees bigger for these transactions with no confirmations?

(i repeat i speak french not english habitually so i hope you understand me, and understand you also.) Cheesy Wink

Actually from your txes I think it's 0.0005BTC, not 0.00005BTC. Yes I think that's the reason.
You can increase the fees to what is recommended on https://bitcoinfees.21.co/ if you want a faster confirmation. Right now it's 110 satoshis/byte so that means 0.0011BTC/kb (if you're not in a hurry it's okay to use a little lower like 0.0008/kb).
Or you can just check the "Use dynamic fee" option. This will make electrum set the fee according to the current state of the network and your slider.

If a transaction doesn't get included in a block in few days the bitcoins will return to your wallet. So there's no need to worry about losing your btc.
186  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: problem, my wallet is blocked what is happening? on: October 26, 2016, 08:32:14 PM
yes no problem:

the transaction id is this one: 8985ed37a7ea4f3760c5f6daa88599b8507cdebb2163dfccc1489bd07e979065

and i opened this wallet 3 days ago.

The payement was sent, but 0 confirmations since 3 days (the payement moment).

I've just sent a little charge from on of my adresses to another and it's also blocked.

a

It's not "blocked". Transactions can't be blocked. Your transaction is "unconfirmed" and that's because the fee you included wasn't high enough (and unconfirmed parent but they're also unconfirmed because the fee).
Those transactions will be confirmed given time. So just wait. You also might want to increase the fee (or use dynamic fee and set it to high) for future transactions.
187  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: OpenTalkLab is a scammer on: October 26, 2016, 12:54:01 AM
You know, when you're accusing somebody of scamming you need to include the proofs too. The screenshot of your wallet is not doesn't prove anything.
188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Messed up micropayment, need a merciful miner on: October 26, 2016, 12:47:43 AM

Uhh... That's a normal occurrence that happens when someone successfully broadcasted 2 separate transactions with same inputs. Resending with higher fee would do that.

Well now you're a double spender.  What did you do?!

Yep. Embarrassing! And preserved forever in the blockchain. The first one disappeared completely from my wallet, with no debit, so I assumed it had been dropped. I tried to make the same purchase again, but with a higher fee. This one has now got 50 confirmations, so am I right in guessing that it's impossible for the first one to get any confirmations now, and eventually it will disappear?

Thanks
Andy

No, the first one that you posted already got 50 confirmations. It's the second tx that will disappear eventually.

190  Other / Meta / Re: Legendary in lowest activity possible? on: October 25, 2016, 06:23:03 PM
Reached Legendary today but was 798 activity yesterday and just got it today.
At 812?  Shocked
I was kind of shocked when this occurred!

I know it was around 850+ at a random time but this was a great surprise to me! Grin

Is it the lowest of legendary activity to achieve this rank?
Remember seeing a thread about the ones who reached it at the lowest level but right at 800? Hmm.. Undecided
I am not complaining! Grin

Lowest activity to become a legendary is 775 activity and there's at least 1 user who became legendary with only 775 activity.
Here's a post by theymos back in 2015.

Here are the luckiest and unluckiest Legendaries so far:

If someone could please point me in the right direction this rabbit would be appreciative.
0 confirms. Idk what is going wrong but i've had many transactions and never a problem. The transaction was sent from electrum. It is for quite alot (atleast for me). So I have read for a few hours and pulled approximately %53 of my hair out.
Unfortunately, I can only seem to understand every other word of the gibberish posted here. Seems like a great community though. Please help the rabbit!!!

https://blockchain.info/tx/ce5cc24ffaf96a764fd7f5a27dd8094dc94bd4c22803ac4525e45f8b1851b00a

Fee is a little lower than recommended (50 satoshi per byte. 100spb recommended.). Shouldn't take too long to confirm though. Give it few hours.

im tryn to send to my second wallat txID:

793c9cb6f5088cb203287e01181f869f2a14997a18614b60375110ddf17c6d6d

and i get massd unconfird Transactions whay is it hapand?
thenx

The fee you used is not enough to make your transaction confirmed fast. The recommended fee right now is 100 satoshi per byte according to https://bitcoinfees.21.co/.
Shouldn't take too long for that transaction to confirm though. Give it a hour or two (no guarantee though).

but where is my money then Sad?

Still with btcdirect, most likely.
In case you still haven't realized it: what I'm are trying to tell you is that your problem is not with electrum but with the site that you're using. That or you didn't actually withdraw your money at all.

Hey guys i just setup my first electrum wallet no i got a problem Cheesy!!!

Where did you send the btc from? btcdirect? If so you'll have to contact their support.
196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Unconfirmed transactions! on: October 19, 2016, 09:14:23 PM
Can someone please tell me why the last two transactions to this address are still not confirmed.

1EJZgZ2gYoYFDoK3mL8SLwHGD7BVJVuZTN

I think that I have paid more than enough fee.

Thanks

50 satoshi per byte fee is not "more" than enough anymore, but high enough to get your transaction in the next 20 blocks or so. Problem is there's only 12 blocks since 3 hours ago and the latest was 1 hour and 12 minutes ago (which means that you're unlucky.). So your transaction should be confirmed within 6 blocks (or 1 hour average).

Edit:
Whoops. Terrible math in action there. I meant 8 blocks, not 6.
197  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Anyone tell me how do I extract someone's btc address from a payment they sent? on: October 19, 2016, 06:40:51 PM
Anyone tell me how do I extract someone's btc address from a payment they sent?

I have the TX ID
And when I go into the 100s of confirmation
how do I work out which was the btc send address.

I want to issue a customer refund but their playing hard ball & won't tell me.

Look up the txid on blockchain.info or other explorers. The sending address is usually at the left.
For example in this transaction (it's not mine) the sending address is 15HwcWAnHS44smDjfjYDw4P49YcGnBjcDK. You might find more than one sending address.

Edit:
If you're sending refund to someone you should have them tell you their address and not just send the bitcoins back to where they came from. The person you're refunding to might have used a service similar to coinbase that uses other addresses to send bitcoins. Someone got a problem with this exact thing here.
If they won't tell you anything about their address then it's their loss.
198  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Opening Electrum for the first time on: October 18, 2016, 09:22:59 PM
It looks like you already have a wallet so the "No existing wallet can be found" message won't appear anymore.

If you want to create a new wallet simply go to "File > New/Restore" and choose "Standard Wallet" then "Create a new seed" and follow the short instructions.
199  Other / Meta / Re: Lost the login to my account and email on: October 18, 2016, 08:37:01 PM
If you still have access to some of the bitcoin addresses you posted here, go to this thread and follow the instructions. Less trouble that way.
