2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Discussion] What's best for the future of Bitcoin? on: September 08, 2018, 06:16:33 PM
The price of bitcoin may rise one day. However, positive developments should definitely happen. It is not so easy to raise prices without seeing them.

there are many positive developments, both code development and regulatory environments. But you people can't see it only checking the prices and charts, forgetting what this is about
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone here got into crypto before 2017? How was it before the hype? on: September 08, 2018, 06:15:32 PM
I spoke with few friends recently about the hype that the crypto market received at the end of 2017.
I wonder how was it before 2017.
Was the market easy to manipulate?
pump and dumps were more common?
Were people more into ICO's? the ICO image was better than it is today?

pumps and dumps weren't here before, at least they weren't so popular. We had less ridiculous guys screaming about the moon. At the very beginning, believers were the majority of the community, now they're like 5%
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who sells BTC now? on: September 08, 2018, 06:14:37 PM
People who don't have strong on Bitcoin will sell them in the market and not only those. People who do trading will always sell them when the price is decreasing but why the price of Bitcoin is kept declining we don't know. It is good for people who are holding the Bitcoins for long term.

right, people who are uneducated speculators, they just sell it without any problems, they only cry because of the losses, but nothing else. People who understand the tech, they don't
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin be harder to access in the future? on: September 08, 2018, 06:11:14 PM
As of now, more and more users are getting the hang of sitting by their computers all day and they get paid millions through the help of bitcoins. What they earn is more than what they had in real life which makes life convenient and easier.

On the other hand, bitcoins are really helpful and accessible to everybody or to a group of individuals and they just click and their wallets get full. But what if, sometime in the future, bitcoins become more private and unaccessible? Will that cause a problem? What could've happened to us who were engaged in it first rather than the newbies to come?

who is getting paid millions for helping bitcoin? How does bitcoin need a help? Are you speaking about miners? Well anyone can do that, just feel free to join the movement.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATM industry will grow 54% every year, according to report on: September 08, 2018, 06:09:06 PM
Despite the bearish trend shown by the cryptocurrency market throughout the year, it is assumed that the digital asset ATM industry will reach 145 million dollars by the year 2023, with an annual growth rate of up to 54.7% for the next few years, according to a report by ResearchandMarkets.

It is important to note that, at present, the market is over 16.3 million dollars, according to the Coin ATM Radar portal, with around 3,687 units deployed in more than 70 countries.

Likewise, the report indicated that two-way ATMs, that is, those that allow not only to buy, but also to sell cryptocurrencies using fiat currencies; they will grow to an even greater range than those in a single way.

However, the information shows that at present the one-way ATMs are at the forefront of the market, since at least two thirds of the current units would have this modality. In addition, more than 2,000 units would be located in the United States.

In this sense, the researchers pointed out that the United States would maintain its leadership as the largest market for cryptocurrency ATMs, even though countries such as Japan and Germany would also be entering the mass adoption of this technology.

However, the researchers warn that the regulatory uncertainty could negatively affect the growth of this industry in several countries of the world, in addition to the lack of understanding and information about their operation.

Although the report does not address the issue of security, cryptocurrency ATM malwares continue to proliferate and would even be commercialized on the black market for around US $ 25,000.

The Russian authorities also confiscated several cryptocurrency ATMs this week in the middle of an investigation of the company that produces them.

I like the idea of bitcoin atms as it's just another way of promo for crypto industry. I don't see much point in them in terms of usability, as why I wouldn't buy that online anyway right?
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IBM launches blockchain based payments, the next disruptor in institutional bank on: September 08, 2018, 06:08:03 PM
IBM announced the launch of blockchain based payments, partnering with Stellar Blockchain, dispensing with the need for banking intermediaries in institutional transactions. Called the Blockchain World Wire payment network, it offers clearance and settlement of transactions in near real time.

The company’s announcement on its website stated that the product involved the use of a digital asset as a bridge between two fiat currencies, facilitating the settlement. In other words, a fiat currency is converted into the digital asset at the originating bank, this is then transmitted to the receiving bank where the digital asset is exchanged as a different fiat currency. The transactions are performed through distributed ledgers and the transaction details can never be tampered, giving it the stamp of blockchain immutability.

Jesse Lund, Head of Blockchain Services at IBM, had, in July this year, stated that Big Blue wanted to enable all transactional networks to use blockchain to conclude transactions through a digital fiat currency. The launch, which brought the product out of beta, has been the result of efforts of the Armonk company, since October 2017, on the Stellar Blockchain network. The product will be unveiled in October this year at the Sibos Banking Conference in Sydney.

Other similar products now have competition from Big Blue, and many other players who have jumped on the blockchain wagon. With blockchain entering the institutional transactional ecosystem, it is expected to not just revolutionize, but to disrupt the cross border payment system.

that is definitely the future of blockchain applications, one of many. Settlements are large part of the transactions worldwide, it's good to have IBM on board, just shows that also large players take blockchain very seriously.
8  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Nano S or Kasse Hardware wallet on: September 08, 2018, 06:05:07 PM
I'd love to know because I'm thinking about getting one or the other  one of these days. I understand the nano S is most popular but the Kasse looks equally as good. Do you have any opinions?

I have never heard of kasse before, is it a new hardware wallet brand? All I can tell is that both ledger and trezor are very reliable, can vouch for both. Others make sure are genuine
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are old coins no more profitable on: September 07, 2018, 09:12:23 AM
There is a lot change going on in the coin market cap top 200 this days and I don't know if I'm the only one who's aware of it. Could you believe new (4months-7month ago) listed token/coin claimed much slot in the CMC top #200 list. Are those old project which belong to the spot claimed no more profitable?

Your opinion Smiley

you just can't say that new projects are not profitable in general. You need to think of each project separately. It's true that listing on exchange doesnt mean automatic profit anymore though
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the world ready for cryptocurrency? on: September 07, 2018, 09:09:46 AM
The world is always ready to accept any challenge, It's just that support for Cryptocurrency still needs a lot of attention to embrace the whole world.

it's about the level of understand for each person. I just feel like people are trying to understand too much of the technology side of the bitcoin yet they know nothing about fiat anyway, they simply use it
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, blockchain, technology that does miracles on: September 07, 2018, 09:08:55 AM
Bitcoin, technology that does miracles.
All of us know that Bitcoin is a new technology based on blockchain, but what can be done by Bitcoin? well, first of all, more than hundreds of thousands online shops all over the world accept Bitcoin as a money to buy their products with, secondly, you can transfer as much as money you want without the interference of central banks. this causes many people think of it as a miracle.
You don't need any permission and also no written contract or signature from anybody to own millions of dollars in Bitcoin, this means that you can easily convert millions of dollars to Bitcoin assuming that you know how and easily you can hide all of those money from the records and you would be able to avoid paying some of your taxes without actually doing anything illegal because nobody can prove that you have all of those money if you don't tell them. Bitcoin would give you complete financial freedom, no doubt.
The other point about Bitcoin is that you don't need any Swiss bank to hide your money if you don't want anyone know about how much money you have. you would be able to carry millions of dollars on a piece of paper and no one knows anything about it.

This must be said that many illegal jobs which are crimes in most of the world has become easy to do because of Bitcoin, in fact
This is one of the disadvantages of this electronic currency, another disadvantage is the fact that you or anyone else can do
Money laundering without fearing of the law, you can blackmail and no one can follow your transactions back to you. all of this
Doesn't mean that Bitcoin is bad.
What makes Bitcoin a miracle is that you are your own banker, doesn't make any difference how much you have, if you deposit
A large sum of money in a bank, they start asking many questions that no owner of Bitcoin has to answer them.

nice summary. Yes, there is money being washed through bitcoin, but still much more money is washed through fiat. There are the ways to catch those guys, especially at the ends of each transactions.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is cryptocurrency so difficult to understand on: September 07, 2018, 09:07:32 AM
I engaged with young people and layman people in my communities on the quest of exposing them to cryptocurrency. During the period I discovered that they find It so difficult to understand the concepts, they are so much acquainted with fiat currency and traditional ways of making payment transactions.
I will be impress If I can get a valuable ways and methods in making them understand what cryptocurrency is all about and engage them actively.

actually it's not the truth that they understand the fiat transactions and don't understand crypto. I don't think they understand fiat either. They just have an app, where they push the button and money is sent. It's important to figure out they don't need to understand crypto either
13  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you Think the True Value of Bitcoin Is? on: September 07, 2018, 09:05:27 AM
In December the price of Bitcoin was near $20,000. Today, the price hovers around $6,500.

Which is the real value? Do you think the market is telling us the Truth?

We must understand that the launch of the CME's Bitcoin futures contracts and subsequent rise and fall of Bitcoin was not a coincidence.

The implementation of futures contracts on gold and silver have had similar effects. One needs to only wonder why was the launch of gold futures contracts was implemented at the same time the Gold Reserve Act was completely repealed. Americans were allowed to own gold again on January 1, 1975. Comex gold futures launched in December of 1974.

https://www.sunshineprofits.com/gold-silver/dictionary/comex-gold/

*Also, a Wikileaks document shows direct intent to suppress the price of gold:

https://wikileaks.org/plusd/cables/1974LONDON16154_b.html

I would beg any who are interested or invested in cryptocurrency to please do more research on the topic of price manipulation - you should come to the realization that the price in fiat of these assets does not matter, simply because it is inaccurate.

If you understand the banking system in the U.S. and understand that Gold, Silver and Bitcoin have true, intrinsic and persisting value you will understand the motive and that without question these assets are manipulated.

What is the true price of Bitcoin? $20,000? $6,500? I do not know.

What I do know is that it is worth more than the intrinsically worthless U.S. dollar we force ourselves to use on a daily basis, so I will be buying as much as I can while the price is this low.

I believe the price of a Bitcoin is much higher than $20,000 - but we may be in for a long while of manipulation before we see it again.

The best we can do is to buy as much as we can to make it as difficult as possible for the price to be suppressed. Once they lose control.....to quote all the Redditors and memes - "Then Moon."

this market started from 0 and grew to over $6k per bitcoin, not speaking of other altcoins. Market is usually telling the truth, but the truth is that this is a cutting edge technology that already made a huge impact.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin will delete all the others monetary systems ? on: September 02, 2018, 09:53:11 AM
I recently read [/] "An Order-of-Magnitude Estimate of the Relative Sustainability of the Bitcoin Network" , from Hass McCook .

In this book , he made a detailed study about estimating the durability and cost of the Bitcoin network.
He compares Bitcoin against the gold industry, the banking system and the production of physical currency.
And , Bitcoin is by far the most energy efficient monetary system we have ever made !
Here are some numbers:

Banking system: 23340 million GJ (energy consumed) + 390 million T of CO˛
Bitcoin mining: 3.6 million GJ (energy consumed) + 0.6 million T CO˛.

 Grin Grin Grin

I don't know yours opinions about that , but I'm really excited , I want that erveryone know that !  Grin Grin

I know guys that it's really hard to delete these systems , and maybe not possible , I just think Bitcoin is the best system , and I just want to share my opinion , to touch a lot of people , and sensibilize them , it's important.
Nowadays , a lot of people are still thinking that Bitcoin is a scam , " a bubble" , they don't know the technology , they speak before learning , they don't understand and don't want to understand.
And I want to educate these people, it's my mission , and I sware iI will succeed : my goal is that people understand what is the potential of Bitcoin !

it's surely very efficient, yet there is room to improve. But it doesn't mean it's not good enough as it's, we just need tp push for mass adoption in order to help the people to understand how to use it
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Low prices and bad comments are taking the confidence of the Newbies? on: September 02, 2018, 09:52:03 AM
I believe so. It is taking the time of the newbies to think of cryptocurrency. Little did they know that this is the best time of accumulation, this time, we have the prices that were so low since the ath. FOR THE NEWBIES, AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE, BUY COINS RIGHT NOW!!!

well that is not the right recommendation. You need to educate newbies first, they need to learn which projects are worth their time and money and which are not at all
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bill Cosby buys 750 BTC on: August 31, 2018, 10:28:01 AM
Reportedly Hollywood actor Bill Cosby has recently bought 750 BTC (around 5 $million at the time of the purchase) when he was advised to do so by his financial advisor, in an attempt to save some of his wealth from what's coming to him after all the rape accusations.

Im not sure if he is a rapist or not because I haven't looked at the evidence, but like or not, this is a clear use case of Bitcoin. His net worth is like half a billion USD, so I guess this is like a plan Z to keep 5 million which would be enough to live without working in case things go very bad for him.

I found this interesting nonetheless and worth mentioning here. Full news:

https://bitcoinexchangeguide.com/bill-cosby-buys-750-bitcoin-btc-worth-5-million-to-save-500m-fortune-from-wife/

if his properties are seized from him, that will include the crypto he just bought, so I see no reason to do that in terms of keeping the funds aside. It's probably just an investment.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Five Reasons to Impact Bitcoin Prices on: August 31, 2018, 10:24:50 AM
There are so many reasons which are impact bitcoin for less value to more value like if the demand for bitcoin rise the price is moving to rise and till the market force like supply balance demand the price become less and unstable so it impact bitcoin. and with this the price volatility high and then the investors feel fear and they switch the coin. So in crypto bitcoin is the most important and valuable coin for now as we can say that in the future bitcoin will use for many purposes so it will make bitcoin more expensive.

bitcoin is not of low value now, it's worth a lot comparing to where it started from. Let me remind you it was worth nothing. So the value is good, adoption is the main key
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When you think of currency what will come to your mind? on: August 31, 2018, 10:24:05 AM
Bitcoin cannot become a pure currency but only an asset, pure currency in crypto system will evolve soon

that is not true. Bitcoin can easily become proper currency, right when the people start using it that way. There is some infrastructure to be added on top but that will be managed.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚛️ [ANN] Bitcoin Atom - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Atomic Swap Powered ⚛️ on: August 28, 2018, 11:11:27 AM
Good bit of price action over night. Hopefully we will start to see a dollar upwards soon.
BCA team how about updating the website and having a fresh push with the larger exchanges to increase volume and potentially price??

What do you find out of date on our website please? We're working on new sound partnerships, make sure to stay tuned Smiley
Please push regular updates on new developments related to the project.
They are not thing for updating. Dead project.  You need to know this information “ The recently released Bitcoin ABC client release (version 0.18.0) was adopted by some crypto-exchange representatives as the beginning of a real war in the development environment. The new software contains a number of updates, including the function of intellectual contracts, which supports atomic swaps. Including GUI ..“
it is the end of bca. Get up! not deep in dreaming of bca.

and yet this worm keeps being here, contradicting his own words throughout his whole comment. You can't understand what Bitcoin abc is same way as you can't understand what bitcoin atom is. So please, just do us all favor and disappear. Thanks

let the lad speak, he's only embarrassing himself. I'm also waiting for the team to deliver, but that doesn't mean I need to be sitting here and spitting nonsense I know nothing about
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what is the main reason for india to ban cryptocurrency on: August 26, 2018, 08:09:46 AM
i dont know why india is not legalizing the cryptocurrency ?

it's for their own bad. It means they're missing out on all the good stuff that is coming not only from crypto currencies, but blockchain too. As naturally the leading blockchain pioneers will move to another countries
