Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PRE-ICO] SETHER - Social Nework integration for smart contract developers

This is one of the best projects I have seen lately. Social media marketing has been waiting so long to be disrupted and I can now see clearly how it is going to happen.
What I like in Sether: -Simple and effective idea, and we know that the best ideas are just as simple. -Very professional team. I was following their work throughout the whole ICO and it was neat and transparent. -Great marketing themselves, but not overly salesy. -Short roadmap
The interest in the project is huge. I can't wait to see the developments and how the big market will react to the project once on exchanges. Good luck to the team and all the supporters.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What about 2018 ICOs

I think there are just enough projects out there already. Every next one that comes seems like a copycat of something already done. Plus, the first projects will start to deliver now and have huge advantage over the newcomers. I will be watching only new tech ICOs coming in.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you guys keep your different altcoins safe, off of an exchange?

I hate moving coins out of exchange. You really can't afford the fees if you are doing some trades a couple of times a month. with a portfolio less than 2 000$. Binance is pretty safe. Bittrex also. I don't see a problem holding there. Did everyone lose his house in Mt. Gox, so there is this huge FUD about keeping coins on exchanges? Jeez, I have 2FA there. It is so much safer than MEW if I have a screen logger or key logger.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Airdrops Profitable?

I still don't have much respect for them. I sold all of my TRON recently. I also had XENON and it was worth 10$ at one time. 2 days later it is 0.04$. I guess it is the same as ICOs. Most airdrops are scams and will fail, but some will succeed.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin for Regular Transactions

The obvious choices are Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Dash and there may be others. If you look at the small cap coins, almost any will do it, because they don't have huge traffic currently, but you don't know if this will be the case is there usage increases or if their teams just abandon them one day.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How should you measure profits?
|

I cash out crypto for fiat regularly -- so I always measure my holdings in fiat value. It's always nice to remember that you haven't made any profit until you cash out. Crypto profits are imaginary until you see fiat in the bank account.
But what about when we will be able to pay almost everything with crypto soon? Then you have vashed out the moment you converted to BTC, LTC, ETH or other accepted currency? How will we measure then?
