1  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Decentralized Exchange $ Trading Platform? on: January 16, 2018, 06:03:04 AM
1. Would you try a brand new platform or just pass it up because you're not sure if it's legit or a scam?
That really depends on a lot of factors for me, I mean I pick exchanges because they're trustworthy, have a nice interface to work with and because they have reasonable fees.
Your platform would have to be pretty established before I'd consider using it.

Also, you mention building a decentralized exchange in your title, but your post doesn't seem to indicate this?

2. What other features do you wish was in the existing platforms?
I'm pretty happy with the features in all of the platforms I'm currently using. I'm using Kraken and Bittrex.

3. If you have Tech skills would you be interested in joining in on this venture? ( Will be registered as a LLC )
Sorry, not interested in that.

Thanks for the feedback sir.. This is just why i was asking.. Would hate to burn lots and lots and lots of time on something just for people to not use or trust it..

Thanks Again Smiley
2  Economy / Trading Discussion / USB Wallet Help... on: January 16, 2018, 05:41:19 AM

        Hey All,
Ok hope this is in the right place. I think it's time that i setup a USB wallet & I have seen Electrum but to my understanding Electrum is only good for bitcoin and not any ALT coins.. The point as you know is to keep bitcoin & all your alt coins in the same place on a hardware wallet..

So does Electrum support alt coins - or - do i need to be searching for other software??

Thanks In Advance
3  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex Verification on: January 16, 2018, 02:16:09 AM
My Verification status is "Legacy" - limited to 2,000 USD.

I tried several times to verify for the next level. I keyed in all data, uploaded all ID photo etc. By now there was no information on the website (or in an email) like "Verification pending".
Is this normal?

I still see the form where I can key in my data. If I do so I am just getting the message "You must wait at least 3 days to re-verify your profile."

Yes this is normal. Give it time for them to verify the submitted information. I haven't done Poloniex's verification, but I did do Bittrex's. They managed to verify it within a matter of hours after sending in the proper documents. This hasn't been the story with everyone else though.

This is what Poloniex has on their signup page right now.

Due to several major exchanges closing their doors to new registrants, we are experiencing a surge in new sign-ups. In some cases, profile verifications may take up to several weeks. We thank you for your patience.

Mine has been pending now for 2 days..

Also you should note that if you need any support from them well you will be pretty much on your own. I sent them a support ticket a month ago to disable my 2FA because my phone broke and they just got around to me 3 days ago. Thats why im having to do all the verification stuff again..

Deposits and Withdraws went really smooth before the 2FA issue so im not worried about it other then the coins i have in there right now i cant trade until they approve my verification again..

So to list the notes again.

what they have on their signup page for verification times.

Help for Verification docs on what you can an cant use & also how you should submit them.

https://poloniex.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/1000250167-what-is-an-identity-id-verification-photo-

and again support is really really slow.

So just hang tight and it should all work out.

Hope This Helps Smiley
4  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Verification Issues??? on: January 15, 2018, 03:58:25 AM
Try to lend from a friend a phone with a better camera, and take care to do the pictures when there is a lot of light.

I was able to get both Binance and Poloniex to take my photos this go around tonite...  I had my wife take her digital cam and take the pics of me in our living room with the lights on then just transferd the pics from the cam's SD card to the laptop then just uploaded the pics from file when doing the verification insted of trying to take the pic right then on my phone...

Time for a beer or two now!!!

Thanks Everyone.
5  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Verification Issues??? on: January 15, 2018, 03:50:04 AM
Its okay sir, you can also withdraw in binance even they did not accept your ID verification. You can use "google authenticator" for level 1 verification but you can only withdraw 2 btc a day.

Thanks for the tip sir.
6  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Verification Issues??? on: January 15, 2018, 03:20:19 AM
Binance very strictly checks the last photo, I did not pass and i spat this case...

I was able to pass all 3 on Binance this go around.. YAY ME!!! Still no such luck with Poloniex tho.. I would just  give up on Poloniex but im having to do it to reset my 2FA and i have funds tied up in that account.. So now im down to just doing the Verification photos again and getting their system to take the selfie with the sign with the date..

7  Economy / Exchanges / Binance Verification Issues??? on: January 15, 2018, 02:11:11 AM

Hope all is well with everyone,

I seem to be having verification issues with Binance and Poloniex.. All seems to go well with the pictures of my ID, its just where i have to take a picture of myself holding the sign i have issues with.

I put my phone in selfie mode and take the picture and it will say 1 of 3 things everytime as to why it was rejected.

1. Cant see your full face ( due to the sign )
2. Image is to blurry
3. Image was taken to far out ( to fit only chest and face )

Didn't think i would need to be a dang professional photographer for this..

Anyone have any pointers on what i should try? Because i have tried so much now it only gives me 1 shot per 24hrs

Thanks In Advance
8  Bitcoin / Project Development / Decentralized Exchange $ Trading Platform? on: January 08, 2018, 05:24:23 AM

         Hello fellow traders,
So I have been on m any Altcoin trading platforms and unfortunately the trend I see with just about all of them is they seem to have no customer support, really high fees, don't list blue chip coins & just push " junk coins " act shady & the list can go on and on but you get the point.

I work for a Tech company and we do contract work for Fortune 200 companies. So I have extreme knowledge in software development and server administration with both Linux and Windows.

NOW WITH THAT SAID!

I was thinking about putting a team together and creating a exchange & trading platform, That would focus 100% on the things that us crypto traders want.

Creating a fast and reliable infostructure - Two unlimited dedicated linux servers with two fallback dedicated linux servers to mitigate or diminish downtime.
Each server on a 1GigaBIT PORT and Unlimited Bandwith with strict DDOS Protection. ( This would be priority #1 )

Priority customer service - Help Desk, Support Ticket, Phone and Fax - maybe Live Chat. ( This would be priority #2 )

Only list coins that is proven to be trustworthy with signs of potential and NOT just filling up the database with trash, " After ICO the people or company behind the coin must meet capital requirements to get listed just like regular stocks. ( This would be priority #3 )

Advanced margin trading & stop loss feature " Other features can be incorporated within time "  ( This would be priority #4 )

Open source and would have a nice rewards for contributions program.

So this is a 3 part question.

1. Would you try a brand new platform or just pass it up because you're not sure if it's legit or a scam?
2. What other features do you wish was in the existing platforms?
3. If you have Tech skills would you be interested in joining in on this venture? ( Will be registered as a LLC )

I would like to hear feedback on this idea so I don't waist time and money on this if nobody is interested..

So lets start the feedback " ALL EARS ARE OPEN "

Thanks In Advance.

14  Economy / Trading Discussion / What Other Platforms Do you Use??? I Need Suggestions... on: December 29, 2017, 04:23:08 AM

     Hello fellow Traders,

I'm looking to see what other platforms you use to trade or do you just have 4 or 5 diffrent accounts? I'm not saying Cryptopia is a bad exchange in fact i have found my time on it very good. However with that said i cant trade alot of coins on Cryptopia.

XRP

ADA

IOTA

STEEM

And the list can go on & on.. I know this is no fault of Cryptopias but more the coins dev & team for not listing them on Cryptopia. However i would still like too trade in some of them. So i was wondering if you use a 3rd party platform of some kind or if you just have diffrent accounts for diffrent coins..

I am open to all suggestions..

Thanks In Advance.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Thoughts on this ICO??? on: December 28, 2017, 05:51:57 AM

16  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which exchange to use for multiple accounts? on: December 23, 2017, 11:06:32 AM

I THOUGHT YOBIT IS CLOSING UP SHOP AFTER THE SECOND HACK THEY HAD.. DID SOMETHING CHANGE SENSE THE OTHER DAY OR WAS IT JUST FAKE NEWS??
17  Economy / Services / Any Trading Platform? on: December 17, 2017, 11:31:03 AM

    Hello
Hope i am posting this in the right place.. What i am looking for is a platform or desktop program that i can use with Cryptopia that will allow me to set trigger trades.

Example 1: if coin symbol XYZ = $0.75 purchase QTY 500 coins  / When coin XYZ = $5.00 sell QTY 500 coins at market value.

Also maybe a BID/ASK price option, Not sure if the BID/ASK option can even be done with crypto like it can with REG stocks but if it can it would be another nice feature to have..

I have seen some software like BOTS that also let you do this but offer no demo to see if its a good fit. However even if they did have demos i just think $200 - $1000 is just to much to pay for such features that should already be built into the main exchange platform..

I also have come across some stuff on github but it dosent tell me if i need to continue building on top of their code or if i can just edit it to use my API, ftp it to the server and start using it..

Can someone shed some light on this OR point me in the right direction?

Thanks In Advance.
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Would like info on Cryptopia on: December 17, 2017, 08:35:04 AM
Novaexchange, yobit and cryptopia are of same level for me, Nova left the business as they sold their site. Yobit had and have some issues and not so user friendly. Cryptopia is the better one now compared to others but as you've experienced their support is not that good. Lots of complaints I have heard personally regarding that but I use it as I have some specific coins on it.

    iram,
Thanks for your input. Have you ever had any issues getting your money from them?
19  Economy / Trading Discussion / Would like info on Cryptopia on: December 17, 2017, 08:13:01 AM

     Hello All,
First off let me say im new to bitcointalk, So forgive me for asking this as im sure it prob has been asked 100 times..

Can anyone tell me whats up with Cryptopia? I have submitted 2 support tickets through their portal, on their Facebook page & on their Twitter and 2 weeks later they've still not responded to the issues from any form of contact.

I like Cryptopia because i can trade ONION on their platform but with them not answering or responding to any type of attempts to contact them has me worried that i wont get my funds when i decide to sell a coin and withdraw my bitcoins..

Can anyone please tell me whats going on OR your experience with them..

Any suggestions on for a good alternative for Cryptopia?

Thanks In Advance.
