I had not heard anything about new commits so I've got to take a look into this. Hope everyone is doing well. I should join the Telegram chatgroup.
@Shinohai good to see you stop by here.

This hash power is a serious problem and not being listed on a single good exchange any longer is killing Uno back to the .003 sat range.

Bryce either needs to get in here and explain why he's committing and changing subsidy or he needs to comment the code commits a bit to explain why he is doing that and how he maintains consensus. This is a nightmare for the coin, even though of course everyone can hold. It just broke down through .006 range and will continue to bleed out with no exchanges and terrible reorg of blocks with this centralized hashpower.

I've not been paying much attention, honestly. What I do know is, there is not a "valid" exchange trading UNO anymore and there is a nasty reorg problem continually. Is he only moving up the rate of mining, or is he planning on changing subsidy and block rewards and other things? How will we solve concentrated +51% hashing power?

I hate to see that Cryptapus left because nothing was happening.

Zack?

Was that you?

Network protocols are not a democracy. They need near universal agreement in order to work.

The reason is simple:

If for every contentious choice, there was a 52% group that said "yes I like that" and a 48% group that said "I don't like that", then you have two protocols. In the second contentious choice for each fork, of similar dynamics (52-48), you have four protocols. In the third, you have eight protocols - which all do not recognize each other. If there were, say, 8 DNS protocols, your router wouldn't even know where to begin with in order to convert a name to an IP address...

Bitcoin is trying to compete with assets like Gold. You can't "fork" Gold or redefine what Gold is and that has value. Bitcoin's resistance to re-definition, likewise has value. Some people are trying hard to damage this resistance in order to say "see? Bitcoin is crap, it can be forked, it can be inflated through forks, uncertainty can be introduced on what fork will be the "right" one, etc etc... gold doesn't have all this bullshit, I'll stick with gold / stocks / fiat".

This is why all the forkers are cancer. They are undermining bitcoin, or are actively trying to control it, under any narrative like "bigger blocks". Even when they had their "big blocks" with BCH and the 8mb fork, now they are trying to take BTC to 8mb as well with S2X. Why don't they simply stick to BCH? It's simple: Because it was never about big blocks, it was about CONTROL.

Very well said!

... it's totally pathetic and beyond any reasonable or technical discussion. The infants didn't get their way, got their bottoms smacked and now want to pretend to play nice again.

(((who))) could be so pathetic & anti-humanity???

Trouble is if your account is hacked you need to come back as a newbie. I am one of many even though i could prove ownership of my original account through bitcoin signing the admins didn’t even rrspond once to my many inquiries.

That is troubling. Had you previously registered a Bitcoin addy with your profile, from which you could sign a statement? And if so, did the mods just ignore ?

Yep. Not a peep from Theymos or Cyrus.
This was the link I sent to them
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=996318.msg21177226#msg21177226
And the message I sent them was signed with the same BTC address.
Go figure?

welcome to the club.. i´m another ignored hacked account, ex-hero member

ditto.

hacked legendary - edgar account

verified and ignored by both theymos & cyrus.

twice.

the hacker/new owner wants paying upfront to return it but i cant risk losing more money over a pretty much pointless account.

Genuine Cannabis seeds and smoking accesories always available from a reputable member.

Been doing seeds and vapes on here for a long time. Never had a complaint. Every customer has been spot on.

PM with requirements and country for shipping.

All the best.

Are you in any way affiliated with OP?

I've wasted more than enough time & money already

What the hell is going on? a few days ago everything was ok and now price is 50% down and "market will be deleted?" on Bittrex?
Bittrex has a little problem. They lashed out and blamed us.

will be interesting to hear their perspective.

seems pathetic.
