5PCIe Connectors / min. 400W? Since the Miner is quite silent I am not willing to put a noisy server psu next to it....

Hallo,
ich bin auf der Suche nach einem guten Netzteil für den Antminer L3. Dieses muss ca. 400W liefern und den Miner via 5PCIe Anschlüssen mit ausreichend Saft versorgen.
Gibt es hier Empfehlungen? Idealerweise keine Servernetzteile - die L3 sind angenehm leise, da möchte ich keinen Panzer danebenstellen - es sollten daher vermutlich ATX Netzteile sein.

Er müsste dir eine Bestellnummer geschickt haben, damals. Mit dieser kannst du dann bei Amazon eigentlich alles regeln (Umtausch, Garantieanspruch, Rückgabe etc.). So hatte ich das einmal gemacht. Es tut mir wirklich leid, Du hast Dir ja ziemlich Mühe gegeben mit den Bildern.
Aber die Geräte sind vermutlich nur noch gut für ein Museum, eine Inbetriebnahme wäre eher wirtschaftlicher Selbstmord :-(

Hi.
I have succesfully setup Awesome miner with my A4-s (changing pool groups + profit switching).
I only have 1 major problem left.
Sometimes when miner reset itself, there can be 2 problem scenarios:
1.) Only 3 out of 4 devices are recognized wthin a miner (I can setup a trigger to reset the miner if average hash rate too low and usually it is fixed)
2.) The devices are working with normal hashrate but are not accepting ( In this case I can also target miner temperature)
BUT In 30% of the case the manual on/off PSU power cycle is needed for miners to start working normally and start accepting.
My question is: Is there a way/know-how that Awesome miner can send a command via ssh to raspberry pi to power cycle the miner automatically?

Congratulations, you have an A4! Unfortunately this is normal behaviour (especially on Multipools like nicehash) and has nothing to do with Awesome Miner. Awesome Miner only makes it easier to monitor this. You can find dozens of posts about that A4 issue in this forum. |

Any ideas how to mine stable @nicehash? If I point to nicehash the miner restarts every few hours and even stops for some hours if I do not pay attention. This does not happen on prohash.com, I got it running there for ~80h now (still counting) without restarts.
Unfortunately prohash only does pay around 0.00667 BTC per Day (270 MH/s) while Nicehash would pay 0,009+ BTC per day (~25-30% more). Where are you guy mining to get the best profit out of the miner?
I also got an L3 running stable since days on Nicehash - pretty good miner.
On prohashing try using h=3 in the options and see if that helps your hash rate. I second your assessment of the L3 on Nicehash. It works very well there. The L3 is a good miner so far.  Do you have an idea how to set 2 parameters into the password field of the A4? For example "n=A4Miner h=3"? The A4 software always cuts off the last parameter (I guess because of the blank between them). |

Ja, prüf das mal. Die Nummer habe ich aus meiner UPS Abrechnung, die haben sie (soweit ich mich erinnere) nicht von mir. Ich weiß auch dass der Zoll (sofern man zum Zollamt muss) recht "kompliziert" sein kann. Die haben schon Waren im Wert von tausenden Euro von mir wieder zurückgesandt, weil irgendein Zubehörteil keine korrekte Kennzeichnung hatte (mein Vorschlag nur dieses zurückzusenden oder zu entsorgen stieß auf taube Ohren), aber Zölle musste ich auch dort nie zahlen. "Nur" die Umsatzsteuer, welche korrekterweise auf alle anfallenden Kosten zu entrichten ist.

@yxt Wie schon gesagt, ich importiere Sie dir gegen Aufwandentschädigung gerne ohne 13% Zoll Na dann: was kostet bei Dir R4 (Batch 6) + Netzteil APWS PSU (2600W)Nicht vergessen: (1) hätte gerne auf Rechnung(2) 12 Monate GarantieBin jetzt gespannt auf deine Antwort. Er wollte Dir damit nur klarmachen, dass die Nummer mit den 13% Zoll eigentlich Unfug ist. Zölle fallen eigentlich keine an, sofern Bitmain die Geräte nicht falsch deklariert (oder du behauptest da sei was zu verzollendes drin). Ich denke Bitmain hat schon 2-3 Geräte versendet um die Kennungen im Griff zu haben. Ich musste jedenfalls bisher auch noch nie diese Zölle zahlen. |

Are you using non ascii characters in your password? Try creating a wallet with a very simple password for testing purposes.
It happens with the password "123456" as well  If you think it could solve it a reinstall of windows would be no big thing. |

I'll try to reproduce on my own, although I doubt I will manage. You are the first one to report an issue of this nature on 0.95, and there has not been significant changes in that code across versions to justify such failure.
Maybe try to run offline Armory with admin privilege, in the off case it is a permission issue.
Also teamviewer on its own won't help, as I'd need to install a whole suite of development tools to debug the issue.
P.S: Give it a try in testnet by adding --testnet to the offline shortcut target

It is a clean Win10 Prof Installation, only Windows updates so far, beside the Bitcoin Client + Armory. It is installed on a virtual machine since I only want to start it when access to my wallet is required. Win10 is also activated. I could try another version of armory if this could help. I have an older version of armory installed on my notebook and I would like to import those wallets into this Virtual Machine once it is working. Kind regards |

You didn't start Armory in offline mode, it just happens to be offline because it failed to auto start bitcoind. Let's take it from the top. 1) Make sure no instance of ArmoryDB.exe is running. If there are, just kill the process in the task manager. 2) Create a shortcut of ArmoryQt.exe. In the shortcut properties, add this to the target field:"--offline", then rename the shortcut to something like "Armory offline". Your target should look like this: C:\Program Files (x86)\Armory\ArmoryQt.exe --offline
3) Delete your log file again, the constant RPC errors make it hard to make sense of anything. 4) Start Armory through the offline shortcut, repeat the process. P.S: is there an ArmoryQt.exe.log file in C:\Program Files (x86)\Armory ? If so, post it. Hello, thank you very much for this detailed explanation.
