A 79 minute and counting network block. That'll be loaded with fees.

Would be nice to get this one!

Maybe just maybe the difficulty will go down in two weeks.  I know it's still early but the aveage is way over 10 minutes currently

Time between blocks is really stretching out today.

Time between blocks at 100 percent luck is around 37 hours at the current hash rate and keep in mind that that is going to change tomorrow when the difficulty changes sometime tomorrow.

I think he was talking about the time between each block on the network being longer than the normal 10 minute average... Grin

Ahhh, i see now, yes, that changes all the time.

7  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [100PH] ckpool.org ZERO FEE SPLNS no registration mining pool US/DE/CN on: June 28, 2018, 08:19:42 AM
Seems reasonable I'll just hope people keep clicking my twitter links so I earn commission to buy upgrades. I bought my s9 in January for March which was $2700. ...  might have to wait till resale is a bit higher to feel value. Then if bull hits like LY I'll power on all my s7's if it's worth it.

I thought I got ripped off at 1100 and my power cost per month is 60 buck per S9...lol
8  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [100PH] ckpool.org ZERO FEE SPLNS no registration mining pool US/DE/CN on: June 28, 2018, 08:11:56 AM
...Pool found 4 blocks and my payouts were a total of ~.029.
On slush my miners were yielding .05 payout every ~4.5 days. That is a signaficiant disparity...
Well, for starters, you're comparing days to blocks.
in reality, you're looking at:
.05BTC out of 2000+ blocks and done vs ~.029BTC out of 4 blocks with more to come

...On a side note, Ill have 13 S9's  for sale soon.   Lol
I'll maybe offer $190 each...

I'll go 191 as long as it's with the PSU...haha
9  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 1% fee solo mining USA/DE 249 blocks solved! on: June 26, 2018, 05:05:33 AM
Now that we've found a block I'll be restarting the pool shortly for some minor updates.
Restart complete; mine on!

Is it 249 or 250 blocks solved now?

Did anyone see a block today? I think I misplaced mine... Need to go and find it.
Anyway, if someone finds that block - keep it in the pool, please! Smiley

Nothing yesterday, maybe today will be a better day.  We can use a nice little 3 block day to finish the month strong before the difficultly slams everyone again.

This low price of BTC is sucking. I need 25 blocks per month at this price to equal my electric bill.

Tis the nature of the beast. Trade volume needs to increase before this consolidation period will break. We may see it go much
lower before an initial push upward. At that point, older hardware is most definitely obsolete without almost free electricity, and
many people paying ~0.10kwh will be mining at a loss, to hodl their rewards. NOTE: This is not the first time in the history
of Bitcoin miners have been in this situation. Also, last year at this time Bitcoin price was at ~$2,400usd and dropping enough
that people were jumping ship.

Happen to know what the relative difficulty was this time last year?  e.g.  1/3rd of what it is today?  I'm just curious what the difficulty-adjusted price was this time last year vs. today.
It was
Jun 17 2017    711,697,198,173

About 1/7th of what it is now.

Just think, it could go up by 711,697,198,173 in nine days...lol  It's crazy

It's nine days away but next difficultly looks like it's going to go up between 5 and 10 percent.  These are difficult days to be a miner.

The current 'dust' belongs to whoever owns the account that has the dust.
I wont be taking it away, it will be sent to them.
If they want to forward it later to someone else, then that's just a straight forward BTC transaction, and their individual choice.

As mentioned before, the new payout system will be: every block, or, once a week, or one a month.
You'll be able to set a payout limit on your account - it will probably default to 0.01 BTC (I've not decided the value yet - but it will also have a lower limit)
Every block will be the top 100-200, or there abouts, but limited to only the top 100-200 miners, who are above their payout limit (and above 0.01)
Weekly will be everyone else who has their outstanding balance, when I do the weekly payout, above their account specified limit.
Monthly will be everyone else, so each month the pool balance will effectively be zero.

Once I have sent out all the dust in the first 'once a month' I will probably set a 100sat limit to monthly rewards and any less than '100sat' would go to the pool and just be part of the txn fees paid to send the payouts.
If you can't make 1c a month mining on the pool, then, well, yep that will make you want to go somewhere else.
At the moment, 100sat/1c a month/12c a year is very roughly 20GHs, and of course that 20GHs will keep climbing.
I haven't finalised my decision on this 'after the first dust payout' 100sat limit - but I can't see any other way to stop ridiculously tiny balance accounts hanging around for a loooooong time.

I have two small dust payments due to be totally honest I never really worried about.  but, if it's easier you can just roll it into the payout bank(or whatever the new systems unpaid BTC is going to be call).

Is something going on with KDB?  There's a Red face on the kano website.

Wow, will this drop ever end. I think break-even on an S9 is now electric under $0.12 per kWh. If your electric is any more than that, may as well just buy BTC.

At my current hashrate, I need ~16 payouts to cover my electric. So, if I shutdown and buy BTC, I'll miss out on anything above ~16.
Personally, I'll keep pushing in the red. My situation allows me too. Also, last year on this day at $2,408 and dropping, everyone was in a panic, and the prediction was, Get out while you can!!!  Cheesy

I'm break even after 7 blocks opps, make that 8 blocks after the current price drop...lol  I'm locked in on a sweet deal for a year.  Basically I'm paying .04 KwH after a small service fee.  I need to add some miners and their price is dropping faster than bitcoin.

over 300 percent block out there waiting to be cracked.  Let's get this one...haha
Nah, we can let your other pool have that one.  Wink
I believe he was referring to the network block, not the pool.

(I could be wrong)

I'd be all-in for a 300% network block...lots of transactions.

Nope. I am talking about the pool. Just Joshin with him about it!!! Ha!!! Playful banter, no harm no foul.

Yes, I knew what Shazam was talking about....haha
