Why do you think 1.02 or 1.01 were bad odds for this range? You were afraid to see the price going under $0 ?  Grin If odds were so small it's because most of other bettors also thought it was a risk-free bet. And I think we were right since the winning outcome has been this one at the end. 2% or 1% in few weeks, which safe investment gives you that?

Well in this case since you get lambo tickets, then its just decent I guess but without it I think its bad. You need to win 50 times @1.02 odds to get double amount of the stake that you used to bet and you lose all of it if shit happens. Well in most case scenario, its pretty rare for shit to happens in 1.01 or 1.02 odds bet but its gambling though, shit always happens when you least expected it

I've placed a bet on this range too and I got few winnings. Unfortunately I bet on other ranges too, so it's a losing bet on overall for me, but I didn't get 0 winnings for this range.

Well its around 2% of winnings for your bet there so that should be around 1.02 odds. Totally a bad bet if you ask me but considering all that lambo tickets that you got from this, its kinda worth it at some point but meh I wouldnt be betting $1800+ on 1.02 ever I guess

Kinda wondering if you actually got all that from freebitco.in?I mean if I got all that from this site then I guess losing it somehow while wagering it here wouldnt really make me feel bad about myself later on
1083  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: July 01, 2023, 08:30:29 PM
100 people would be a frightening competition - because in this case, if you take a full random, then the chance of winning the yellow cap during the season would be 38/100 - quite small.

Its technically correct but if you factor in people that will quit halfway of the season then chances is actually still decent.
~

I think that when a participant loses a chance at the main prizes, instead of stopping predictions, he starts making bolder and more variable predictions - after all, he still has a chance to get a yellow cap, right? In fact, for those who continue to fight for a strategic general victory, this reduces the chances of getting a yellow cap.

Technically this should be the case but if you look at the leaderboard from last season, atleast 5 players out of 61 players actually stopped playing for various reasons so if we actually make it to 100 players then Im pretty sure that we might even have atleast 10 players that would stop playing mid way of the tournament

Just wondering this, does anyone know anything about @tomahawk9? Dude just stop playing the pool the same month he stop being active in bitcointalk

Quest beat Team Secret on the Riyadh Master qualifiers that makes this team a silent beast on this tournament because this is their first Tier 1 tournament appearance but the roster is definitely full of experienced players with high level play.

For the record, Team Secret MENA was literally a put together team that was purposely made to participate in MENA Qualifiers so yeah they wouldnt do be a threat to Quest that actually made it to top 4 in division 1 DPC

Holy shit I just read the last page and didn't understand anything. It looks like arallmuus is a secret DOTA expert also, now I know if I ever promote back to BSFL in Division 1 to watch out for him.

Well I do have a solid record on Esports related question on BSFL though but yeah Im not really good at it. If you are looking for someone for tips for the next BSFL esports question then I'd suggest taking opinion from @ralle14 and Trofo  Smiley

Bet #1: Club A. Guiles - San Martin S.J. OVER 1.5 GOALS @ 1.51 | $40,000 TO WIN $20,400

So its either you are going to continue this thread after winning the bet or you are going to lock it down after you lose your capital huh. I skimmed through your posts and it seems you have tendency to always go all in / bet with high amount which is pretty interesting. Also saw one of your post that you were going to withdraw all your balances and leave Stake (?) and turned out you are still betting with them

Special shoutout to married couple Joel and Fernanda for sponsoring this challenge!

Kinda wonder why they would want to sponsor this

It's better to have the signup thread available as soon as possible so that there will be enough time for a wider audience reach and also enough time for everyone interested to join in.  Smiley

Pretty sure at this point there are alot of people that have seen this pool's thread already with 519 pages of reply but it seems some people are always hesitant to pay 2.5 mbtc to sign up on this pool. I guess we'll get somewhere around 50-55 this season, still a pretty decent pool to play with this high prizepool if we include the freebets for yellow cap winner then it would be $10,000 prizepool

Really like the addition with the VAR Rule but it's quite unlikely that I will be able use it because of the time difference but who knows.

Well atleast its something new that is introduced which could change the course of answers for some people. Pretty sure that not many of us will use this but atleast now people have chances to correct their questions

-snip

and I need both of them to hit but Draw is obviously not the result that I want to

Update on this

Congratz mate @jayce, I will not get any point from the U19 Basketball question because Brazil didnt make it through. At the best available result, it would be a draw on #7 question which put me 1 point behind of you regardless of the remaining questions so there you have it this round  Smiley

1088  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: June 29, 2023, 10:34:03 PM
So anyone else ended up getting all draws for 16 games today as well?

So this ended up with 8 draws for the day which is pretty decent because most of the draws got over 2x odds and one of it ended up with 3.2x

Kudos to Nouns for getting this draw therefore I got slight profit from betting all draws. Taking another shot tomorrow except for 9p vs Nouns, I took 9p to win against Nouns in this match
1089  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 7000+$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: June 29, 2023, 05:58:43 PM
Come on Czech I need you guys to score a single goal and win otherwise Im gonna lose another point tonight Roll Eyes.

Edit : oh gosh Israel scored, there you have it another point goes to @Jayce

With 2 remaining different answers between us, you still have a good chance to get draw result with me

-snip

You know what, you really have pretty bad wording right there. You might want to change that to I have a slight chance to get a draw against you with 2 remaining answers and I need both of them to hit but Draw is obviously not the result that I want to if I want to stay in this division next season  ( not that I know if we will have 3rd season after this )

.Cant wait to see the end of our "derby" Wink

Even if I lose this round, Im going to beat you up on our next one Tongue. I hate losing especially not to you mate
1090  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: June 29, 2023, 10:45:05 AM
The competition got harder during Tour 3 as the new teams from the open qualifiers had a few familiar names and PuckChamp selling their slot to Old G. They only have to go through the closed qualifiers for the next DPC season, and they should qualify easily since they're most likely replacing someone from their roster.

I think the main problem wouldnt be that because the next TI qualifier is approaching and iirc only team registered in division 1 and 2 gets to play in the qualifiers which means Alliance wont be able to get their shot on the next qualifier. Well not that Im expecting them to win but atleast they get a shot at it but now they couldnt though

So anyone else ended up getting all draws for 16 games today as well?
1091  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: June 28, 2023, 10:44:28 PM
Anyone feels bad for the Alliance(Dota 2) that they're even out of Division 2

Well not that I care of, they had it coming miles away. They were having issue since last years but so far they havent really made any improvement at all. Im not sure who is the coach for Alliance but Loda was probably behind it, he is really not suitable to be coaching though. Alliance also had the chance to sign complete Old. G roster but they choose not to

16 games tomorrow for the first day of The Major. Im still sticking with all draws method on all these 16 games then see if this is going to be worth it
1092  Economy / Economics / Re: MicroStrategy Buys $250M in Bitcoin, Calling the Crypto ‘Superior to Cash’ on: June 28, 2023, 08:29:56 PM
Of course, everyone gets a little bit cocky and smug when their BTC holdings are in profits

If I own that many btc, I'll probably be shaking my hands off when it gets below 10% of my buying price

and even those kinds of multiple profits does not end up happening in the short-term

He is probably not going to sell any of his holding on the next bull run supercycle or something. I dont know what his 'grand scheme' with all that bitcoins is but one of the option would be leveraging it in the future for huge amount of capital but even then Im not sure what he is going to do with all those money that he had piled up from accumulating bitcoins

Tsitsipas is a great example that whenever you want to place a bet in a tennis game, checking the ATP ranking is not enough! Cheesy But BSFL taught me to pay attention to details here. He isn't worth a bet almost ever.

Well yeah he often dissapoint but sometimes he makes it through the final somehow but I googled abit about him and I know he is a pretty decent in clay therefore I know for a reason that he wouldnt make it in this tournament also the Wimbledon will be on grass as well so yeah he wouldnt make it there either

Come on Czech I need you guys to score a single goal and win otherwise Im gonna lose another point tonight Roll Eyes.

Edit : oh gosh Israel scored, there you have it another point goes to @Jayce

I thought Cerundolo would have been counted as the winner directly as De Minaur didn't even make it to the tournament

Yeah I thought it would be this as well

@jayce : damn leading 2 points right away. Well you know international games are not really my virtue but spare me some points this week otherwise I will be doomed  Tongue. 4 Questions left with different answers for us so yeah technically I still have good chance to turn this around but honestly Im not sure with my remaining answers
1095  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 7000+$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: June 27, 2023, 09:11:21 PM
I followed the first half. I was going to choose Georgia as the group leader. However I changed my mind after the equalizer that came in the last minute. Because Netherlands were way ahead in the statistics. I still can't believe this match ended up with a draw.

I had similar thought about this. At first I chose Georgia as group leader but then I thought there is no way that Netherlands is going to get 3 draws in a row so I changed that to runner up. I was even quite confident that they are going to win against Georgia especially after they scored the equalizer just before the first half ended  Roll Eyes. What a start for us thanks to Netherlands
1096  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🦊 Betnomi.com | FPL Football Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: June 27, 2023, 08:15:50 PM
this year I'll probably drop out of other pools to focus on Fantasy (if all goes well it's quite possible we'll see a few sponsors).  Cheesy

Seems to me that you already have potential sponsors for us  Tongue. Well I'd love to try next season on fantasy as well. I think I was doing decently okay except for the fact that I messed up big time on my players before the season start ( also some on mid season iirc ) but with small amount of people on this pool, chances to cash in is quite high though compare to the all other pools
1097  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: June 27, 2023, 05:33:16 PM
New users always join but of course some people also decide not to play again

I've never cash in any prizes from EPL pool so far iirc and I still intended to play next season. The buy-in fee is practically close to nothing for a year long tournament anyway

Maybe one year we can have some sort of mega-jackpot or maybe do some sort of winner takes all with a higher entry fee

Probably start doing this if some people show any interest with this? I mean some of the regular that play in this pool are beast though to be able to stay at top 5 or top 10 regularly like fortebet so he alongside others might be interested
1098  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: June 27, 2023, 09:26:53 AM
Soon we will hit the 50% of total supply burned.

The word 'soon' is probably not suitable in this case because as I have stated, the 4th burn was literally around 2.2% of the previous existing supply

Most of the burn happened in the past when bunch of RLB was worth close to few dollar and people werent even considering it to be anywhere close to it being valuable hence alot of RLB was collected thus burned. RLB worth more right now so most people are actually keeping it instead of using it for lottery and aside of that, I believe most people sold their stash of RLB already so yeah its going to be a while until the whole 50% supply is burned
1099  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: June 26, 2023, 09:51:57 PM
So this really boost up the prices in future with the utility being increased and more developments and profits to the holders.

Well not really, if you actually look at the number of RLB burnt compared to the supply before it was burnt then you will notice that its literally 2.2% of the whole supply so thats not really much. Im not sure how many times will Rollbit burn the RLB in a year period but it should be around 4 times a year so yeah thats not really that significant but yeah its something to start with

It wouldn`t be that easy since we will of course "monitor" the action with the WOLF team to identify such a scenario - in that case, the user would not qualify for the raffle. Smiley

So you guys anticipated that as well already. I was just abit surprised with the word 'deposit' there to get the raffle ticket because normally most organizers of gambling related contest would be giving away tickets after wagering  Smiley

---
Even more, most casinos make players wager at least x1 each deposit (usually), so abusing wouldn't really be that easy

Yeah but I guess it wouldnt be hard to wager 1x in wolf.bet especially in their dice game. iirc correctly they had a pretty fast dice roll in there and the house edge for dice is lower than most casino game but yeah Im glad you guys got it figured out  Smiley
