243  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Inputs.io | Instant Payments, Offchain API, Secure Wallet, 235k+ BTC transferred on: November 18, 2013, 01:11:57 AM
A question for those who had a balance on Inputs. Are the refunds you are getting partial or total? I had money on CoinLenders instead, but at least that should give some insight as of what to expect whenever I get refunded.  Undecided

Partial. Thankfully I didn't have much, and I received about 75% of my funds back.

link?  Roll Eyes

Link to what? It's already well known that he has only been doing partial refunds. Even, though he has been asking for identification for that to happen. Unless, he has now suddenly changed his mind. Which I highly doubt. I think we have all come to the conclusion that we have lost our Bitcoin and TF certainly isn't dealing with it with the most professional manner.

a link to this payment ? blockchain link? ..what do you think... Roll Eyes

Edit: Nevermind about the questions, he sent me an email addressing them very thoroughly. Will update my thread.

i told you guys: have a line to him ~ what do you want me to do? LOL  Cool

On the off chance you're not trolling... I would love for you to give me his contact information. Otherwise, could you have him answer these questions?

1.) When did you first notice that the hot wallet was empty?

2.) How and when did you first realize your Linode administrative account was reset?

3.) Could you post the password reset logs for your Linode administrative console, and tell Linode employees that they may verify them for whoever asks?

4.) Do you have, and could you post, the logs of what the hacker did while he was logged into the Linode administrative console?

5.) Were the logins from 101.0.79.18 into your Linode administrative console, that you posted, the only time the hacker accessed it?

ok i just saw this post right now, these are some very technical questions. Where are you getting all this from? Honestly what is pressing him on these issues going to prove? ..and then what?~ i'll see what i can do.

Ripper, how will lukes patch affect plans of the mastercoin protocol, iss it something to be worried about?, are their contingency plans?, what are they? this is the only area which i am unclear of

Good question. How is his thread coming along?
We need someone qualified with mining / mining pool dynamics to comment here.

False. The blockchain is only a specific backend infrastructure. If and when that infrastructure no longer suits our purposes, we'll migrate.

Then what is Mastercoin?

Mastercoin is an endeavor to accelerate and encourage human innovation.

Yeah, I know how that sounds.

I'll try to give you guys more details as soon as I manage to get some free time.
I invite you all to our upcoming Meetup/Webinar on Thursday - I will be speaking about Mastercoin in the Israeli Mastercoin Foundation's first official meetup.

I was poking through the letters from Homeland Security to the Senate and I found this Tcash Ads/BitInstant issue:

http://cointext.com/us-seizes-funds-from-bitinstant-partner/

The Missing and Exploited Children rep is also on the panel:

ok what's new? wattt organized crime in New Jersey?..no way i can't believe this!  Roll Eyes

Many AC Mayors went to jail going back to the early days.  For awhile it was every other one:

http://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=1914&dat=19900103&id=_gcgAAAAIBAJ&sjid=HGUFAAAAIBAJ&pg=1338,562181

Also, in a somewhat related issue:

Internet Gambling opens here in Atlantic City this Thursday.  The requirements including having brick-and-mortar business and some online casinos are buying failing AC casinos in order to set up web sites.  You have to be within the State while gambling.  They don't yet have ankle bracelets in order to gamble but things come close:

http://www.pressofatlanticcity.com/news/breaking/internet-gambling-is-biggest-bet-for-growth-since-casinos-came/article_90c970ee-fbab-53da-a9aa-1349f4b7a34b.html

Locaid will offer a system in New Jersey with four levels of location verification that include mapping a person's location by using cell towers, tracking IP addresses on computers and matching computers and mobile phones together by having a PIN texted to a mobile device that must be entered on the computer. Once logged in, locations will continue to be monitored, and those betting near state borders will be closely monitored with more frequent checks.

"Say you're playing online poker when you log into a site, your location is constantly being monitored as you place bets," Gerber said. "When we see that someone is approaching a state border ... that person is watched more closely. Much more reauthentication will be happening at the borders of the state."

yeah i remember reading about how they were trying out those new online slot machines in Atlantic City on some Aristocrat board about a year ago~imo the old reel machines are way better..fwiw  Cool

Guys just wait until India gets an exchange. I know so many Indians who give huge discounts if you pay in Bitcoin.

The second largest population of the world still doesn't have an exchange, and when that happens you can bet that the chinese will get a run for their money

 Grin  Cheesy

Mumbai !!!! that's right even more $$$ there~ thanks for reminding me!!!  Wink

no more coins on gox beyond 550. but i still have no idea how next week will play out …

$25 million on Gox on orderbook vs 12k BTC. ATH and ATL respectively. If Gox USD issues are as real as people say, the PANIC buying to move out BTC at considerable loss could be epic.

If Mark wanted, he could just pay the whole $25M from his left pocket (by selling BTC into it) and then Mt.Gox would not be short any USD.

can I get those 700 dollar bitcoins or not ? =) LMAO!
