6  Other / Meta / Re: theymos shouldn't merit and trust be mutually exclusive? on: February 11, 2019, 04:56:32 AM
the merit system has done a great deal to lift up those who discuss (in a positive light) the merit system...ask the many genius young coders out there who have a merit of between 1 and 2...surely, they will tell you "merit is NOT about some kind of exclusive club...no...no...no...its really all about the crypto, dude...really!"...some day (not so soon, i suspect) we will get to see the numbers regarding merit for discussing actual tech shit vs merit for discussing....well......merit

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ✅ SCAM ALERT MN+POS ✅ BLACER COIN+PIRLOKKK ✅ on: January 19, 2019, 07:55:08 PM
you can avoid about 80% of the scams on here by never clicking on anything that says "masternode" or "proof-of-stake"...aside from being garbage technology to begin with, it is the easiest way to scam people
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POS][LON][MN] LONDINIUM COIN LAUNCH on: January 18, 2019, 09:24:43 PM

wealth is never lost...it is merely transferred
12  Other / Serious discussion / Re: On altcoins announcements on: January 12, 2019, 02:54:53 AM
for all of its faults, the altcoin ANN section has been the source of many, many, MANY great projects....you just have to learn to tune out things like ICO, MN, PRESALE, ROI and the like...would be nice if, in the future, they could segregate anything that requires a purchase...but thats probably technologically unfeasible
13  Other / Serious discussion / Re: How do you make money of bitcointalk? on: January 12, 2019, 02:43:52 AM
you open several accounts...
you post awesome reviews of the merit system in the meta section...
everyone gives you merit for being a suck-ass (cuz u cant hardly get it by posting anything about crypto)...
you collect enough merit to work all of the accounts up to full members or higher by suck-ass posting about merit, and then sharing merit among your various accounts...
(dont worry, they wont do anything to you even if someone offers proof of your scam)
next you do signature bounties on some of the pNd shitcoins on here...
then you wait for the devs to build up the market and dump your trash the day before they do...
easy!!

14  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Democracy is dead. on: January 12, 2019, 02:28:06 AM
A single ruling party exists at all levels of government. No checks, no balances.

This isn't democracy. This isn't what our founding fathered envisioned.

I'm done with America.

The USA is not now, nor has it ever been, a democracy. It has always been a constitutional republic. There is a huge difference between the two and it really saddens me that people are now taught to believe we are a democracy.

so true...this is why plato never wrote "the democracy"....he wrote "the republic"....democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on whats for dinner
15  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Women in Crypto - Where are they and who are they? on: December 07, 2018, 03:01:43 AM
not sure why on earth it matters one iota, what shape the genitalia of a crypto-enthusiast takes...we dont need more women in crypto...we dont need more men in crypto...we need fewer scammers...we need fewer ppl who are too lazy to even google the simplest crypto-terminology and fewer ppl who continually allow their ignorance to stand in the shadow of their illusion of knowledge as they pump out clone coins as the "next great thing"

18  Other / Serious discussion / Re: What if? Satoshi Nakamoto's identity was public information on: December 04, 2018, 10:38:28 PM
I guess instead of Gavin Anderson who got invite to CIA, Satoshi might got that invite.

I see lot of stupid people might be chasing satoshi for stupid reason like:

1. BTC price dropped, I lost saving.
2. Somebody stole my BTC.
3. I lost my private key.

speaking of the cia...i believe that satoshi was in fact the cia or some other such secret agency...he/they disappeared because the purpose was served...that being the introduction of a form of currency that is totally traceable...and better yet, it is believed to be to be anonymous by the avg retard...ask yourself how useful this can be in the not-so-distant dystopian future...i have a dollar bill in my pocket...can u tell me everywhere its ever been simply by running a piece of software...nope...some day ppl in the tech world will realize that anything that is "privacy" oriented is not only easily hackable by the powers-that-be (with an unlimited budget) but was probably developed by those same powers to give privacy seekers a false sense of security
19  Other / Serious discussion / Re: World laughing at the US on: December 04, 2018, 10:12:27 PM
let me start by saying that i have never been politically active...that is not to say that i am politically ignorant...its just that i have always seen politics as a means to control the ill-educated and easily-manipulated...or as george carlin put it "if you vote, you consent to be governed"...that said, in over 50 yrs on this planet i have never seen the likes of what is happening today...apparently, the education system is now in total collapse...i have seen ppl say that trump is literally worse than hitler or stalin (i had to put in "literally" because they were millenials who have somehow come to believe that every sentence must contain the word "literally" or start with "so")...hopefully, i dont need to explain how dangerously ignorant such a statement is (pretty sure they killed tens of millions)...as i said, i couldnt possibly care less who has been chosen by the retards to control our lives and force/forbid us to do x, y or z...but, i just cant understand how so many people have turned politics into religion...any deviation from the norm is met w/ absolute vitriol and hatred...my best friend of over 30 yrs (and some members of my own family) barely speak to me these days...not because i have said that i love trump (i dont)...but because i would not agree that i hate him and see him as being worse than the ebola virus....these people dont see me as simply being "wrong"...in their eyes, i am evil for not feeling the apoplectic hatred that they feel...i guess too many ppl still spend too much time watching tv...and back to the OP...i honestly see being laughed at by the UN as a badge of honor...no "governmental" body in history has done a better job of eating lobster whilst doing absolutely shit about so many incidences of genocide over the years
20  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Solar energy is the future. I want to save my planet!! What about you? on: November 30, 2018, 03:38:16 AM
ppl talking about "save the planet"...we are not even close to understanding the planet yet...and we cant even save ourselves from the stupid shit that we do every day...the mathematical fact is, every living human being on the earth could stand in the city of los angeles....rest of the world totally empty...my point? we are not as important as some may think..."But the level of CO2 is going up!"...the relative atmospheric concentration of gases has been in constant flux for, oh....ever!!...why must we believe for a minute that it has to remain static at pre-industrial level for the rest of time...the only constant is change..."But CO2!!"...here's an idea, forget about the century that we spent getting mercury out of the hands of children....lets make cfl's cuz we believe they may reduce CO2 emissions...oh ya, and possibly because jeffrey immelt had the ear of the lawmakers for years...sooner or later we all have to come to grips w/ the 2nd law of thermodynamics (or some form thereof)...making the tesla, the solar panel, etc, etc is, in the long run, going to make just as big a mess (if not bigger) than doing it the old fashioned way...only difference being, you dont see the mess...it ends up in some river in china or africa
