Quark dropped 2/3 and it was immediately deemed to be a scam by posters like you. BitCoin dropped 50%. YOU should be calling BitCoin a scam as well!

You know some people complain that Quark is owned by too few people but there's a guy named rPietila that claims to have so many coins he can affect markets. He even has his own thread as well as followers and detractors. Yet no one has stated that he owns too many and it's bad for the BitCoin market. No, rather they just doubt he even HAS that many.

It seems to me the only "joke" coin is DogeCoin, and it was MADE to be a joke! Yet if it takes off and is successful well good for them, more power to them!

What were you guys calling BitCoin when it dropped from about 1150 to 600 or so recently? I'll bet you were having fun with that. It hasn't even recovered fully from what was likely your coordinated and devastating attacks.

Let me ask a stupid question: LTC has a volume of about 1/2 that of BitCoin right? So shouldn't LTC be valued at about $500? I mean if you wanna' use BitCoin as the standard.

I tend to agree.

I see MANY sell orders in the 30-32 range and MANY buy orders in the lower 20's. I'm guessing the people in the know are playing ping-pong with it until Friday.

I myself, not being quite confident enough to do that, am content to buy at the dips and then any price after Friday.

Why are people are stuck with the idea that there can only be one dominating currency? BitCoin has shown the world that there CAN be successful, competing currencies so why couldn't there be more?

There can be just as many Crypto-Currencies as there are Nations, some valuable others not so much, but furthermore I think there can be Industry Specific Coins as well for Agriculture, Automotive, Aviation and most anything else you can think of.

All (or most) NOT controlled by the International Banking Cabal. Isn't that the whole point of this exercise?

Absolutely!  That's why we're all here. There's plenty of room for all different types of crypto-currencies.

Gotta' give him props, that was clever! But all it really did was send Quark from 23 to 26.  

My buy order went unfulfilled by Cryptsy for nearly 3 hours so I cancelled that, transfered to Bter.com and bought Quark there very quickly.
