Wrong. Stabilize to 600 - dump. Stabilize to 300 - dump. Stabilize to 150 - dump. Nothing else to dump - Buy Buy Buy! - Price at insane levels again.

I see you are just another foolish bull that can't understand graphs with arbitrary sloping lines or blockchain transaction amounts. Bitcoin to $blackhole, that much is obvious.  Tongue

$blackhole = fiat blackhole, Bitcoin drinks your milkshake
Thank you for that VERY informative post.  Roll Eyes

DogeStyle EDIT: Wow! Much informative! Very Condescending!
God damn, I even put the :p on there and everything.

This forum is way srsbiz as of late.
Oh I'm sorry, I didn't know that's what you meant.

This directive will introduce the “bail-in” principle by January 2016, thereby ensuring that taxpayers will not be first in line to pay for bank failures."
Bail-In means the Depositors accounts will be taken first, THEN the Taxpayers pay for a Bail-Out so yeah, they're not first in line.

John Corzine times many thousands.

The BitCoin price is stabilizing isn't it?

Dec 12-16 also looked like it was 'stabilizing'.
From the end of November it looks like: Stabilize to 1100 - Dump. Stabilize to 900 - Dump.

Now it's stabilizing at around 600, I wonder what's gonna happen next?

Pretty big news. Overstock.com has been around forever and is a big US company.

yeah..... 2nd half.....  Roll Eyes Thats like eternity in bitcoin times
You saw that article someone posted about Wall Street Money moving into BitCoin in 3-6 months didn't you?

I'm thinking from now on I'm not gonna' try to sell at the tops anymore and just plow as much Fiat as I can into BitCoin and other cryptos no matter the price.

As more and more people jump in all exchanges will be pushed hard and need upgrades. I'm at Vircurex right now but if they start having the same problems as Cryptsy did then I might bail for somewhere else.

Thank goodness the exchanges have some competition right?

Ok so I'm watching that Sex Pistols documentary "The Filth and the Fury" and scrolling through this thread. The song "Problem" comes on and then I see this and I can't stop laughing! Perfect timing!

"The Problem is YOU!"

It makes me sad and pissed off that so many smart people here (me included!) get run over by trading.

I'm interested in putting together some quant tools, some portfolio management and position sizing tools, etc, etc, and working with other people here, so that we can have some education to move us away from gambling towards real wealth creation (a la a hedge fund type system)-- probably in a something like a club, at first. I have to program quite a bit of architecture first, so it's a ways off. The tools would allow us to essentially customize our approaches and handle multiple API's on multiple coins and exchanges. You could say I'm just past the 'napkin drawing' stage.  Wink

Would anyone be interested in that sort of thing?  Smiley
Yes!  Grin

This should not be in breaking news but in OpEd. Shame on you NYTimes.

http://dealbook.nytimes.com/2013/12/18/bitcoin-mania-heads-into-the-endgame/

"Bitcoin enthusiasts may say the authorities are acting because they feared the growth of a currency free of the power of an oppressive state. Hardly. They saw a smuggler’s paradise – a means of exchange for illegal deals and a tool for dodging capital controls." Discuss
The Banks can do it, why shouldn't we be able to as well?

The big question is whether 382.21 is the new all time low?
This is what I'm thinking. Since the Chinese still have time to get out, yesterday couldn't be the low... maybe.

Good Morning everyone! Looks like selling at 670 was a good idea! Now I'm 2 for 9 in crypto-trades!  Grin

Can I time this dead cat bounce? Is it going down more? Hmm.
178  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's over. The Ponzi scheme is coming down. Goodnight sweet bitcoin. on: December 18, 2013, 03:26:34 AM
I wouldn't say it is a ponzi scheme, but it does seem like it.  What worries me is this:

that 11,000 individuals owns more than 75% of the entire market.  And 47 individuals own 28.9% of the market.

And this is worse than the Bankers how exactly?

Some people here are protecting Cyptsy like the US Gov't protects the Federal Reserve!

Getting this ironed out in as a transparent way as possible will only strengthen the ENTIRE Crypto Community.

Is anyone having any issues with deposits of Quark to Vircurex? My first two confirmations happened quickly, as expected, but the Accounts page in Vircurex has been showing 2 confirmations for the last 10 minutes. I assume this is on Vircurex side.
I have the same experience there. Sometimes it's immediate, other times it takes a while. But nothing like Cryptsy was.
