A lesson for anyone of any age. They send you the coin. They wait until you get it. You give them the money. They don't like it..leave (with your money). Always take a friend or more with you.

I tried mining (pool mining) with a dual core CPU and the hash rate was about 6H/s. It was an older computer and I did not expect much. I do mine (pool mining) with a quad core, Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2400 CPU @ 3.10GHz. I get 110H/s to 135H/s with it. I only mine for fun and the hopes that someday what I mine will moon. If you are trying to make money you will want to at least do GPU mining but you need a very fast video card. I have been mining off and on for several weeks and have earned about $6.00USD. If you really want to, you can mine BCN, XMR, XDN just to name a few. I get about 10 BCN a day with the 120H/s. There are a few places to pool mine. I use minergate and have not really looked into others (you may want to do that).

Had to read your other posts to believe you wrote that . Very informative and you have good writing skills.

Thanks for reply. Connecting as normal, no TOR or anything. I'm just glad I had wallets at the ready and was able to withdraw.

Went to GDAX and it says trading not available yet in my area. I withdrew everything to wallets. Don't know if it is a glitch or the way it is for awhile?

When I am running TAILS or on my own computer at work I use TOR browser to access here and reddit. I use a different username on reddit when using Chromium on this computer. I don't have a different username here in TOR, I just read only. Why use TOR when I do? One of the guys at work knows a bit about Linux and although I don't usually go anywhere that is NSFW I still don't want him to necessarily know where I go. On TAILS is pretty much self-explanatory.

I believe on the wallet download page or at least somewhere on the site is a file of the blockchain up to midnight each night. You can put that in and take care of the majority. There will still be a way to go but I found that shutting down and restarting the wallet seemed to make it go faster. I will look for that file url. EDIT: I think they used to have the link at the bottom of the download page but I don't see it now. I would suggest reading this https://theethereum.wiki/w/index.php/Ethereum_Wallet_Syncing_Problems Ethereum wallet does take quite awhile to sync. I don't know if newer versions are any faster or not but make sure you have the latest version.

Sorry, I thought you misspoke but I misunderstood.

Do you have a coin in mind? DeepOnion does legit airdrops for completing simple tasks and having 50 ONIONs in your wallet. I know some other coins do airdrops and I know there are probably some scams out there. You need to research then ask if anyone has experience with that coin.
|
|
|
Yes you can move coins. If they shut down there is always a chance you cannot get all or even any of your coins. Try to keep coins in wallet on your computer or phone. Only leave enough on exchanges for trading. Edit: When you say "create" you are mining? Also, I have no experience with Waves directly.

I'm not seasoned or long invested by any means but I have watched the stock market for years. It goes up and it goes down. Sometimes fast, sometimes slow. When it's down is a great time to find bargains that were too high to buy before.
|
|
|
There is a good side to this downturn in the markets. Time to snap up some bargains. I'm not even thinking about the big money coins but the better low money coins like DeepOnion, Stellar, Cardano just to name a few.

GDAX is a good starter site but you will want to join binance, kucoin or cryptopia if you want a good selection of coins. Yes sending LTC will be much cheaper than BTC. Avoid sending BTC if you can.

Congratulations!! Well, if you got this far then you must be doing something right. Just keep on keepin' on. We (at least most of us) are here to learn and share what we know so that we can all succeed in this crypto world. I knew a bit about computers when I started here but knew nothing about crypto-currencies. I still know very little but everyday there are gains in that knowledge and a part of those gains come from reading posts on bitcointalk from hero members and newbies alike. Good Luck.

"There is no "lol" here. You're begging, pure and simple." Hey it's easier than learning about cryptos and how to invest in them and way easier than getting a job.

Welcome to the forum and specifically the newbie board!! Sorry to hear about the scams and hope to avoid them. BCT is a good place to find out if something you are interested in is a scam or not. If you hear about a new coin or offer I am sure someone else has also. Good Luck on your trades

I saw that a couple days ago and hadn't gotten back to it yet. Thanks for the reminder. I'd say it looks like a good possibility for investment. Being associated with the music industry gives it an instant advantage if they have a good team and vision behind it. I will be looking into this.

You are very diversified which is a good thing. You may also want to look at deeponion, crypterium and telcoin. I am trying to up my portfolio but funding always gets in the way : P edit: good mention okan, I forgot mth

1 BTC from $100.00. That is a lofty goal but I wish you luck. If you are open on how to do it and don't have to stick strictly with BTC I would suggest looking at some altcoins that have potential for greater growth. But I am no expert at all.

Passport as in Country to Country passport? I would not for an airdrop. I can understand that exchanges which are possibly answerable to certain governments for tax information may accept a passport as identification document but luckily that is not a requirement that I have seen as I do not have a passport.
