After listening to your criticism I decided to reduce the BTC withdrawal fee to 0.0001 BTC (just enough to cover the cost of the transfer)

Please reconsider using NewAltEx.com

Thank you

The business of currency exchange is not easy, and even more so as you are a late entrant. You would probably need a market maker initially. And you would have to spend money upfront on attracting users if you want a piece of market share over the long-term.

The only serious competitor right now is DGEX and they charge a huge fee for withdrawals, especially instant withdrawals - I don't

I'm offering a similar trading platform with competitive fees, help stabilize the currency / make market manipulation harder.

I can list 10 more reasons for people to start using NewAltEx.com, I just hope they will give the exchange a try.

HELP! I sent coins from nxtchg to my dgex account, and now Im asked to input which address I sent from. The problem is I cant find any account address on nxtchg! If I click on withdrawals and then on the order I get the following information:

Sent to: 6635869272840226493

Transaction: 12886460838448628559

Time: 11 Jan 2014, 18:08:15

Does "Transaction" mean sender address? Its 20 digits long while the "sent to" address is 19..?

Getting a bit sweaty over here!

Why global adoption is not an option.
A very good read as of why inflationary currencies are far from perfect, but the smaller evil compared to deflationary.

And like the author, I am a fan of cryptos. The limited supply type just has some fundamental flaws.

Have you tried the nxtchg thread on nxtcrypto already? https://forums.nxtcrypto.org/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=330

I just checked and the owner of that site hasn't logged into the forums for two days. I hope you get it sorted.

Edit: by the way, "Transaction" means the actual transaction: you can check it in the blockchain explorer by filling in that number http://87.230.14.1/nxt/nxt.cgi?action=100

And like the author, I am a fan of cryptos. The limited supply type just has some fundamental flaws.

It is just very common misunderstanding and flawed logic people make regarding crypto currencies such as Bitcoin or NXT. No serious crypto supporter said Bitcoin can entirely replace fiat currencies. Here what i often tell others, Bitcoin just need to replace 1% of the total global usage of fiat currency and banking system, it is already worth at least 100K $ / per coin, and it goes up from there.
When Bitcoin is only 1% of the total fiat, the debate of deflation is very moot point. It just doesn't matter for the economic functioning of the global economy.

It's for this reason I'm glad the word "coin" isn't used in Nxt (at least not supposed to).
Coin is a misleading word in the context. Especially with the coloured coin system, where it's basically an entity that can represent anything.

Edit: even if the word coin is in there :p

I'd love to try out your exchange and am keeping an eye on it.  IMHO your biggest problem is web site design.  It looks like a prototype.  The News page is empty the FAQ page is empty.  And (sadly), your order book is empty.

Saying so implies what governments say. Bitcoin is not a currency, it is a commodity.
I'm into the whole crypto thing because I see the potential of a monetary revolution. Something better than the current system.
I have NXT, not that many, but I got them pretty early, very soon after launch, so I got my nice share of profit. I see NXT mostly like an experiment though.
Offering services you can pay with a commodity that rises in price isn't really thought through to the end.
I hope the price rises nevertheless Smiley

People pay for things by  some common commodity the entire history of mankind until the invention of fiat money. In reality, nothing is exactly black and white. Everything in life is just about some shades of gray. A monetary system with crypto currencies is already better than one without and that's worth fighting for.

It seems quite similar to gold....you can use gold to pay for services and its value also rise & falls.

The evolution is that you can move Nxt to the other side of the world for nothing...instantly.

Edit: Using a new tool called a smartphone....which will eventually be in the hands of 90% of the people on the planet.

I wonder what will happen when the next credit crisis hits....I wonder where people will put their wealth....Bitcoin, Nxt and other Alt coins will be stores of value like gold....but with the ability to move, buy & sell this asset at lightspeed....24 hours a day 7 days week.

The limited supply type just has some fundamental flaws.

Agree.

Luckily for us, Nxt solves this problem by giving a way to "inflate" number of "coins" via Asset Exchange. These "coins" can be backed by NXTs.
If u think about it u'll notice that Nxt simulates real economy (NXTs == gold, issued assets == paper money).

I am little curious why devs didn't create aliases Smiley or why almost all big stakeholders didn't make aliases  Cool

I have a separate alias account. They may do the same.

so they had to buy some nxt by dgex Cheesy

Btw, how to delete an alias:
Create a new account, send there some coins, rebuy your alias by using a pass from 1st account for 1 coin, then buy the same alias for more coins by the 2nd acc passphrase
