I can't get the wallet to sync. all of my other wallets do just fine but this one gets stuck in synchronizing. any ideas ? thanks!
Hey St1ng, one of our earlier releases had issues for some users, the new wallets work fine now, below is what you will need to do to fix the issue. Please let me know if this does not resolve your problem. Please follow these steps: 1. Back up wallet.dat in %appdata%/icoin/ 2. Delete %appdata%/icoin/ 3. Download latest iCoin wallet 1.3: http://www.icoin.pw/wallet/icoin1.3.zip4. Unzip, copy icoin.conf to "%appdata%/icoin/" and run wallet, wait a few mins for blockchain to sync. |

Thank you CoinManiac!! An XPM market was not within talking points, but this could prove to be a great addition. Having some consistent and reliable ICN/BTC, ICN/LTC, and ICN/XPM pairings increases our versatility, and it's yet another additional exchange for marketplace awareness. @ Viperbass, can we confirm credibility of this exchange and make a note on our ANN page and new site? Keep up the fantastic work everybody, things are escalating into a nice bell curve of growth  After freshmarket.io got hacked today I am very skeptical , although no iCoin went missing thank goodness. I don't get why there is a need to trade vs LTC.
Mainly to open the market to other buyers that hold LTC, also it will be a good point of reference to see how well iCoin is doing. First you have to take silver before you can take gold , we are aiming that high but will take time like with all good things. |

iCoin currently has a ICN/BTC exchange and as you can see there is plenty buyers, but there was a lot more trades going on freshmarket.io before it got hacked, over 30 ltc daily. It's important that we give the community the option to buy/sell iCoins with the most used cryptocurrencies today. Just to add to what CaptainHook said on point 2 above, we will always make sure iCoin stays relevant going forward.
Right now it's China, US, Netherlands (surprisingly) , UK in that order which have shown interest, however because the community is still tiny and
with future plans that will unfold, things can change very quickly.

Alright I have just spent 3 hours chatting with CaptainHook. If you now look at the account with 4.5 million premine, 500k has been sent to me giving me a total of 571k coins. I have already spent 60k for services which you will see shortly and don't want to give away too much but all will be revealed For the remaining 440k will be for services people will be offering for iCoin. We have 5 sections for the premine and we have included a new category tonight which I can't reveal. Now besides the boring financial stuff, I would like to announce that we have 2 additional members in the team:Imperative and Reverb have joined the iCoin team as community managers and will be getting information from us just before the time so they can feedback to the community. If Viperbass informs me the dev is a dumper I am ready to start a new iCoin, I have pm'd Viperbass but he hasn't responded. I will also be very transparent with the community by giving out
my real identity and anyone else who joins the team will need to do the same. Out of respect I am holding back to give this developer a chance to prove himself. The iCoin name
must live on.

Tomorrow I will be having a really long chat with CaptainHook to update him on what has been happening while he's been in hospital, he only got home today. I will be the 1st person to put up my hand and say I feel this is a scam, right now there is no indication to conclude this is the case, also we can't just drop the coin so easily as people have put a lot of time and effort into it, with that being said honesty and trust is what I value most and if CaptainHook wants to own the premine, the website and everything the team has put in so much effort to build then I would personally walk away. All these topics will be discussed tomorrow. I love cryptos because it gives you freedom, it allows everyone to control there own destiny and empower themselves by adding value around a decentralized currency, we are not here to own iCoin but to give you the community the tools to build on it. The creation of bitcoin was a selfless act and I am fine with CaptainHook wanting to
remain anonymous, so was Satoshi. What I won't be fine with is CaptainHook owning everything that people put effort into build the coin with but there is no indication
to suggest he wants this.
The Premine will be used as best as possible for iCoin and not self enrichment, you can confirm with speedminer that I am mining on his pool and I am buying up iCoin on the exchanges as I am refusing to take from the premine. This is for the community and will be well explained soon enough. |

I've taken a permanent interest in this coin and I'm currently in the midst of helping Viperbass as well as other crucial iCoin members with marketing, expansion, and copywriting. Sidenote: It's great to see the addition of these new pools over the last couple days! As Viperbass mentioned previously, iCoin is currently undergoing a website redesign (same great designer with some new inspiration to make the site more congruent with the long-term vision of this coin) Additionally, there are 2 other projects in the works at the same time that will be a total game changer - not only for this coin but for the digital currency world as a whole! We're absolutely raising the bar Once everything is said and done (1-2 week time frame) iCoin will far surpass the ranks of any other alternative currency, when it comes to professionalism, branding, versatility, and user experience as a whole. I'm so very excited to be a part of this movement, and equally as excited for anyone who wants to join us in making this coin the best it can possibly be! You didn't think that was a very suspicious first post? "I find all other coins silly and I want to start selling all my things for this brand new coin that has been plagued with premine and mistrust issues" Yeah ok, not a sus first post at all.
I'm not trolling. I updated my client no more than a week ago and it isn't sending coins. I was just checking if it was working for anyone else because the client isn't working for me. The community should welcome legitimate bug reports not quell them. I lost 500 icoins because of this bug and thought maybe people should know about it. Sorry for trying to point out potential software problems and obvious fake accounts.

Please always bring up issues that are client related and any ideas on how you think we can improve things to gain trust with the community. Regarding the post we still haven't been pm'd by the user. I don't want to make judgement calls about anything, all I know is that the translators are getting some first hand info and could be mentioning the coin to other people. |

I was scrolling through the pools on the OP of the topic to see where most of the new Hash was coming from but noticed a few of them were dead links, maybe check them out and clean them up.
Thanks for the news on distributing the pre-mine and I think its great for the coin. My only concern is you do not dish out too high of rewards on some of these... for example if you dish out 100,000 icoin super giveaway you mentioned... if value does go up a fair bit that could quite possibly be worth several bitcoins.. a bit to much for icoin. I know its not my decision, but I figure feedback is good whether or not it is taken and used or not!
