2  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASICMiner BE300S Samples Arrived, <0.2W/G Achieved at Board Level on: December 28, 2014, 01:04:28 AM
BitcoinBrothers out of Germany claimed in November this year to have an ASIC based on a 16nm 3D finFET and have plans to unleash 300-400 PH onto the network in Q1 2015.   They also claim each of their 6 PH machines will consume 0.9 MW.  So using your initial assumption, it appears they are poised take a little more than 50% of the network (assuming they add 300 PH) using only 45 MW.
I haven't dug very deeply into this claim but they seem to be echoing the claims of KNCminer as far as the 16nm 3D finFET based ASIC.  I haven't seen power consumption estimates from KNC however.

Not sure where (electricity rate) they plan to drop their bomb, but the numbers you have posted put their power consumption at 0.15W/G.

Official claims we have (also from my internal report):

- Spondoolies Tech 0.05W/G mid 2015
- KnCMiner 16nm 0.07W/G early 2015
- Cointerra 16nm 5X (?) Q1 2015 (5X refers to their TerraMiner IV I guess)
- Bitfury sub-0.1J/G mid-year 2015

Not sure what to put on the Chinese ASIC manufacturers when it comes to official claims (Bitmain, Avalon, InnoSilicon, who else is significant or still in business?).

BlackArrow has made claims using a finFET asic chip as well at the .07W/gh - claiming 20TH from about the same draw as the 1TH of the x3.  BS or not - we will have to see.
3  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: December 28, 2014, 12:51:24 AM
You guys are just crazy talkers. I ordered from Black Arrow and got my miners with no problem and they work great. I had a problem early and support walked me threw my problmes.

What Im seeing here is only a very small group of guys trying to distroy BA and probably didn't even order any thing from them. I bet that Bruno Kucinskas is behind many of the sock puppets that are spewing shit about BA. That is why Alex has banned his Gleb Gamow from this thread and others I'm sure. But he keeps coming back with sock puppets some that are very old accountants i see.

Bruno Kucinskas already distroyed other mining companys with sock puppets and his crusades. Hell even look what he and his clowns are now doing to Butterfly Labs on their official thread. That is why they no longer try to maintain it any longer. Bruno gets paid by the accounts he doesn't attack. That fact has already been prove. Read my blog http://bitcoinscamphinnaeusgage.blogspot.com/

For all the newbies Black Arrow is fine and there is no police reports on them. Alex and the crew answer all there emails and they ship within 2-3 days or faster.

oh really - did you get it in april?  or May as promised?  Cause the ones I have received have boards that are dated later than that... still waiting for support ticket replies to replace about 30 cards.
4  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Looking To Rent Up To 1PH on: December 23, 2014, 12:56:35 AM
you could ponzi simply by having 1PH of mining power and selling it out to others as 2PH. Then you have some mining going on for your photos and such, but not enough to back what you sold.  Look at GAW - how much did they sell (who knows), how much did they have (who know -- other than i saw a few hundred TH of theirs for sale on leaserig), so having some and claiming not to be a ponzi doesn't make much sense.  Why not just put it up on leaserig, mrr, westhash, nicehash, betarigs and let it go until you find someone else.  Now that the paycoin POW is over - it's doubtful you will find many takers.
5  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Antminer S3 batch 7 - Includes Wifi antenna + adapter on: December 23, 2014, 12:50:54 AM
you know people can order these for less than that from bitmain... and if you are in PR during that time you might be able to take advantage of cheaper shipping back state side courtesy of USPS

We moved most of our stuff to the altcoin of the week or another rental service that started paying out 10x the normal rate.  Once it cools off - we will re-evaluate.  I'm sure most others are doing the same thing.
8  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: BITMAIN announces Antpool: Pushing forward Decentralization on: December 11, 2014, 12:58:46 PM
They are easy to find here - https://www.antpool.com/poolStats.htm - just by looking for the ones that are only 25 BTC and no change.  a bunch of orphan ones as well.  so how do you mine a block with no transactions.

Not familiar if that is normal - but it seems to have happened here as well

10  Economy / Goods / Re: WTS - Beats Mixr Headphones - New - Blue & Orange & white Available on: December 08, 2014, 02:23:03 AM
still available in time for christmas delivery.  I can likely ship it overseas, just might have to charge a bit more depending on location and what amazon charges us to do so.
11  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [For sale ] 6 x black arrow X3 units [ EU - NL ] on: December 07, 2014, 01:45:42 AM
For those who are considering putting these in a data center - they are actually 3U each.  and I'm not sure whether it's my rack or the machine - but they seem to be a touch larger than 3U.  But that might just be the 36U rack I have them in.
12  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [Will Trade] Razer Blade 14'' Gaming Laptop, i7 870M 256GB SSD Used on: December 02, 2014, 03:14:33 AM
Dropped the price to $1599

I still think an X-3 with 5 recalled hashboards is a fair trade.  MSRP on it is $3000, that's more than the laptop.
13  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] ASICMiner Prisma 1TH @ 1000 Watts, taking offers.... on: December 02, 2014, 02:22:06 AM
Yes it is a full unit with 4 boards.

No PSU they're a dime a dozen. I find the resell value pretty bad and I can still get use out of it.

But if the price is right I'll throw in a RPI with cgAM .img, if someone needs it.

Where can you get a good 1000 watt power supply for .10 cents?

you can get a decent server one for less than $20 without much effort.

if I can get mine working - I'll send you an offer.  I think my place right now is too cold for it to work
14  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Black Arrow Prospero X-3 Bitcoin Miner 1TH/s 1000GH/s on: November 30, 2014, 02:45:38 PM
Sorry , 2.5 btc included shipping from China to USA , i cannot afford that .

I was a victim from them and lost too much already .

so have the rest of us.
15  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Black Arrow Prospero X-3 Bitcoin Miner 1TH/s 1000GH/s on: November 30, 2014, 06:17:21 AM
2.5 BTC shipped to the usa.  not looking for anything hosted.  also since antminer s4's are now $818 USD a pop shipped (when bought n groups of 16), it's hard to call the x-3 worth much more.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ★★ Rubycoin ★★ A precious gem for the digital age on: November 30, 2014, 04:06:43 AM

Easily said, there are over 100 coins out there, not sure how we're expected to know when to check for a complete change in a coin rendering all previous coins worthless. Its not practical to check every thread on every coin, constantly.

Pretty much - that's why after losing some MMXIV coin due to an incompetent dev - I swore off following any other BS that the guy put out.  Fortunately since I was actively mining ruby - I happened to notice the note to move them all to bittrex before the date.  I'm sure I still ended up losing some due to the time between being mined and the time that bittrex upgraded, etc, I think I left with about the right amount on this one.

Overall though - I'm against any coin that does a hard fork and says to previous holders - too bad, so sad, you lose, game over, up yours and you should have followed the forum posts....

how about a black arrow x-3 for it - they are worth like $3000 for 1 TH right?
