Anyone else having trouble mining here?

Trying to get back to using your services, but my miner doesn't seem to want to connect.

EDIT: WOW. As someone who is a sysadmin, I currently feel ashamed of myself.

Seems like a very bad day today so far-

Would be quite fun if this got off the ground.
1025  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: January 03, 2014, 07:57:43 PM
I didnt read through this whole thread so I apologize if this has been mentioned.

Two questions/comments about this pool.

1. Has anyone done any calculations that show roughly how much more profit can be made mining here vs mining BTC directly? (I realize that mining BTC with GPU now is pointless, but Id like to see this compared to something) Maybe even converted to USD?

2. How hard would it be to modify the pool to allow a user to be paid out in BTC or LTC? This may make things more difficult than its worth but its a suggestion.
I make about 0.04 BTC per day with 5MH/s

I'd make less than 0.00001 BTC per day mining BTC directly.

1027  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: KnC Miner : Security hacked - Take remote control over miner! on: December 31, 2013, 06:09:34 PM
I did think about it. I found it to be   bad timing on your part to announce you did this and that the announcement matches very odd behaviour  of our miners. What I would like to know is how many miners other then the two  mention have this problem which is why I posted this here.  You have admitted you viewed 1100 plus miners.  if only the two I mention have this problem after being viewed by you then most likely this has nothing to do with your testing.
Holy shit the entitlement here!

Thanks to you both, I will try both answers!

What's up with my connections? Middlecoin seems to go down all the time and my miners switch over to another pool and it takes sometimes 5 minutes to switch back, any way I can help prevent this?
1030  Economy / Auctions / Re: Dutch auction (price goes down) 20% of KNC jupiter on: December 30, 2013, 05:37:49 AM

This week's Ask is:
8.42BTC for 50 shares (around 105 GH/s , equals 2500 Addiction shares)
0.1684BTC for 1 share (around 2.1 GH/s , equals 50 Addiction shares)

Seriously are you high??

Thats like $60 a GH,  BFL is half the price!!
No, he's just an idiot.
1031  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [Gauging interest / WTS] Flexible USB-based powered PCI-E risers. on: December 27, 2013, 05:03:48 PM
I guess I'll poke in this thread again. I got a bunch of kraft bubble mailers to send these guys in today. The risers themselves are in the Cincinnati hub in Ohio; Still on their way.
That's right down the road.. I may have to go break in there.. Cheesy

1038  Economy / Auctions / Re: Dutch auction (price goes down) 20% of KNC jupiter on: December 21, 2013, 10:30:33 PM
I too am finding this quite interesting - what do you think you'll end up with in BTC? (assuming no-one buys the shares and you continue mining till say March)
Considering the difficulty just jumped another 30%, he'll be extremely lucky to gather another whole BTC by march.
1039  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: YellowJacket 2.2GH USB Miner (based on Nanofury) Now Available! $89 / each on: December 20, 2013, 04:11:59 PM
@soothaa Are you claiming that this product isn't going to work?
I'm sure electrically they'll work just fine. They will not, however, pay themselves off, unless you get really really lucky.

Let's take a look over at one of my favorite switching pools, multipool. They mine the most profitable coin at the time.

Here: https://www.multipool.us/multiport_stats.php?alg=sha256

You can see that (as of this posting) they've been mining TRC 88% of the time. The current ratio of TRC to BTC is 1.30, which equals 30% more profitable than directly mining BTC. This number WILL fluctuate, and honestly I've haven't seen it that high in a while.

So let's get some numbers, here's a good case scenario for the shipping and return in BTC:
Date   Difficulty   Revenue   Profit   Return
2014            -0.12
1-14 – 1-15 (1 day)   1535 M   0.001077   0.001056   -0.1189
1-16 – 1-27 (13 days)   1995 M   0.006602   0.00647   -0.1125
1-28 – 2-8 (26 days)   2594 M   0.005027   0.004926   -0.1075
2-9 – 2-21 (38 days)   3372 M   0.003815   0.003739   -0.1038
2-22 – 3-5 (50 days)   4384 M   0.002883   0.002825   -0.101
3-6 – 3-17 (63 days)   5699 M   0.002166   0.002122   -0.09886
3-18 – 3-30 (75 days)   7409 M   0.001614   0.001582   -0.09728
3-31 – 4-11 (87 days)   9632 M   0.00119   0.001166   -0.09611
4-12 – 4-23 (100 days)   12522 M   0.0008634   0.0008461   -0.09527
4-24 – 5-6 (112 days)   16279 M   0.0006123   0.0006   -0.09467
5-7 – 5-18 (124 days)   21162 M   0.0004191   0.0004108   -0.09426
5-19 – 5-30 (136 days)   27511 M   0.0002706   0.0002652   -0.09399
5-31 – 6-12 (149 days)   35765 M   0.0001563   0.0001532   -0.09384
6-13 – 6-24 (161 days)   46494 M   0.00006839   0.00006702   -0.09377
6-25 – 7-6 (173 days)   60443 M   7.635e-7   7.484e-7   -0.09377
7-7 – 7-19 (186 days)   78576 M   -0.00005125   -0.00005023   -0.09382

So based off these loose numbers, after about half a year, it will have mined ~0.03 BTC. Even with a 30% profit edge, that's still only ~0.04 BTC.
