1461  Economy / Goods / Re: (WTS) Goat's Casascius sale thread. on: November 23, 2013, 04:34:46 PM

If you have something I don't I am willing to trade.

I have a 25BTC Series-1. I'm interested in a 10BTC Silver w/gold-plating, plus whatever else would be fair to make up the difference. Any interest/ideas?

I think you just screwed me.

Me?  If so how so?

You are paying a lot less than 25 BTC to get that coin.
Not you. I feel since he offered you a better deal I'm already cut out of this. Sad

I have more than one coin, and I'm selling one for a family member who wants cash. Your offer was fine. Are you still going to take the deal?

I have not even contacted this other guy yet, but I will just to see how much more he wants.

Yep yep. All was cleared up.

The 1000BTC coin makes me wanna cry  Cry one day I can buy one

You can still get the LTC version early.  Start buying/mining yesterday.

1464  Economy / Goods / WTB Casascius 10x1BTC & 10BTC solid-silver coins! on: November 23, 2013, 03:00:02 PM
PM me your offer and lets reach an agreement. I'll pay first if I like you. Escrow if I don't — you pay fees.

I don't want any in shit condition.  Only ones that have been properly taken care of.  This is silver we're talking about.

Don't offer me anything other than what I asked for.  HOWEVER, if you do have a 10BTC silver-only coin, I want that one too.

How about simply not giving a crap? Usually works and the other person gets tired of talking to someone with a responsiveness of a brick and walks away. Win - win for both.

1. When it comes to money, we're all of the same religion.

2. Fuck all religions. #1 cause of all bloodshed in history, in the name of 'Abraham'.  Religion is the worst thing that ever happened to us.  Put me in a room with a religious person and I will shred them.  Then again, watch out because when you argue with an idiot, they'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

3. Straighten out your thinking.
1467  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Casacius 1BTC 2013 Gold Plated Unpeeled on: November 23, 2013, 01:39:15 PM
Son.

you are a scammer.

Well, of course I am!  If you would like photographic proof that I am not scamming, tell me what exactly you'd like.  Would you like me to peel back the coin with a photo in one hand saying "Here BigBitz!  Here is proof I'm not scamming!"

In this BitCoin community, is EVERYONE a scammer until proven not?  How do you sell something?  What was can you PROVE you're not a scammer?  I've been scammed CONSTANTLY so I understand the fear. I bought a Cas. coin ignorantly thinking that it was unscratched/unpeeled.  However, I was wrong.  So I got screwed.  It happens, so I do understand being afraid.  But how about you show some PROOF that I am scamming, "sir."

There will be a solution to this problem built by some very savvy people. In a couple months... Smiley

Your post does look sketchy as hell. What's up with the photo of your eBay rating?  Why don't you just link us to your eBay profile and confirm from there?

Also state your paypal address so one can send you a penny and confirm you are US-verified with plenty transactions under your belt  (which you would have based on your eBay rating) and get your physical location (it better be near Raritan Valley Community College which I assume you attend based on the RVCC in your bookmarks).  I also like to give PayPal a ring and confirm everything with them before the trade is made so if you do screw anyone over, PayPal will already be aware of it.  That's assuming you wish to be paid via PayPal considering that's a popular medium for most scammers.
1468  Economy / Speculation / Re: sold at $600. what to do? on: November 23, 2013, 01:12:20 PM
Thanks for the advice everyone.

I bought some back today.  If the price goes up, great.  If it drops, I'll buy back the rest.

Am I an idiot?  Yes.

Not an idiot at all. We all succumb to temptation.  It's only worse when you monitor it every second of your life.

I have converted 1/3 of my coins into casascius coins I believe are worth having.  It's a great way to limit yourself from completely cashing out.  It's worked for me.  I forgot about these coins as they just sit in a dark safe, and yet despite all the ups and downs, these coins have been continuously on the ride to the top.  Sometimes I pepper the coins all over desk, around the iMac as I work.  Makes me feel good looking at all that shine and ever-growing value. Tongue

I bought a bunch back at $770 the other day and do not regret it one bit as it's almost $870 today. I use coinbase pricing.

If you look back a few days you see there was ALMOST a chain reaction as it was nose diving, but it bounced back around $400 (the lowest), so if all goes to hell, the most I could lose is half of my investment. I don't believe it will just vanish unless someone hacks me or robs me of my physical coins.  And now it seems to have stabilized after that chaotic day.  I feel pretty confident and I listed my reasons in this topic in a previous post.

Anyway enough of my rant.  Best of luck to you and I hope you join us on the road to $1K and beyond!  Shocked Shocked  Grin
1469  Other / Off-topic / Re: I'll be leaving soon on: November 23, 2013, 01:55:24 AM
No one understands me at all, very few people do.  Yet somehow I seem to understand everyone's perception of where they're coming from.  Perhaps all those mind opening drugs taught me a valuable lesson of empathy that many have yet to experience.  Perhaps you would understand me better if my name wasn't dank - to save the instinctive judgement of someone who's so open about expanding ones consciousness.  Or perhaps if there wasn't a scammer tag under my name, you wouldn't have this skewed perspective of who I am and what I stand for.

You will spend thousands of dollars a year supporting a knowingly corrupt government, yet you wouldn't give ten bucks to someone of the new generation that believes they can communicate a message to change this world so we don't have to work to live to die.  You care more about losing ten dollars than bringing world peace.  Why do you do it?  Fear is the only reason, fear of the government.  Doubt that no kid could possibly solve the world's problems.  This very fear is the only reason the government exists, because we fear them, we give them power.

Most of you think what's wrong with this kid and if you ask that, ask yourself that, what is wrong with you?  Why has everyone exchanged their hopes and wildest dreams for the security of spending away our irreplaceable time for pieces of cotton?  Your true happiness, values and wishes all face the drain when you choose to compromise time for money.

I know how we could have world peace, I know how humans can learn answers to the supposedly unanswerable questions.  I have tried my dearest to communicate these concepts to you all, though I cannot help but feel I have failed miserably.  No man can change the world alone, but when someone comes up with a radical idea that has potential to do vast amounts of good, just like bitcoin, it takes the united effort of humanity to manifest that vision into reality.

Now that bitcoin is becoming mainstream, it also hit me that it's still money, people will still be greedy, and nothing will really change about the world.  Most people don't use bitcoin because it has the power to halt the US financial scam, but because they want to make money.  The only thing that changes is a shift in power.  Nobody really gives a damn about spreading love and peace, nobody gives a damn about finding true happiness, only filling up their wallets for an illusion of happiness.

It's clear there is no place for me here.  Though we will all attain riches in heaven, I will be walking through the pits of fire here on hell, for you.  Though we can achieve equality now, nobody wants to actually do the work needed to reach a collective ground of compassion for each other.

I will be gone soon and you can send your support years from now when things make sense, knowing that you could have done something to help in that very moment if it weren't for fear holding you back.

Glorious will be the day you understand this message and we work as one for the common interest and betterment of mankind.  Glorious will be the day when you find faith in someone that has already lost everything they had for a dream of uniting the world.

Hit me up if you want to do more than work away your life, if you would rather spend your time giving people peace and in turn making yourself happy.
I think you're dope. You have my blessing. Farewell.
1470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WANT *MANY* LTC FOR USD RIGHT NOW - ANYONE?! on: November 23, 2013, 01:43:36 AM
How would you be paying?

Cash. Either in-hand or wire. I will send first if I trust the seller.

Wish to make the first purchase of 1000 LTC. If happy and you're reliable, I will continue buying from you.

I am NOT trading my BTC.  Those have been converted to casascius coins for a long term investment.

1473  Economy / Speculation / Re: sold at $600. what to do? on: November 22, 2013, 09:07:19 PM
@OP When I make an investment I assume that money is forever gone. Reduced to zero. And I try to forget it and work on collecting more money going forward, occasionally peaking taking a peak at the growth of my investment. This helps. Temptation is a bitch. And when it gets ahold of you and you sell, you're gonna regret it.

1476  Economy / Speculation / Re: sold at $600. what to do? on: November 22, 2013, 07:50:24 PM
i freaked out and sold a large portion of my coins around $600, suspecting the price would continue to oscillate between $400-700 for a couple weeks... (i know)

do I

A) wait it out hoping for a better price to get back in
B) take a loss and buy back in at $750
C) ??

thanks guys

I just purchased 50 @ 770.  I sold at 630. Here's why I bought:

  • People are eager to see it at 1K+
  • Lots of money moved a couple days ago, the price fell like a domino effect but it bounced back after it dropped $250, then people started buying like crazy again, boosting it back up.  This tells me it's stabilizing and it won't just die in one day, and the worst I could lose is 30% of my investment if things got really bad.
  • It's also the end of the FISCAL year for lots of businesses and tax time is about.  I wonder how tempted people will be to test the IRS now that so many know about BTC.
  • If gold can hit $2K+, so can BTC. Esp. now that so many are selling precious metals for BTC. You can also see the price of those metals continuously drop.
  • It's approaching holiday season December and lots of money will be moving globally

1479  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Increase of Asics on Ebay on: November 22, 2013, 07:17:02 AM
So a month ago it was difficult to find a decent Asic for sale on Ebay, and within the past week more and more are being listed.

Jalepenos, Blades, Avalons you name it. Must not be as profitable to mine anymore time to cash out.

Simple. Because more and more of them are becoming obsolete.  Everyone's racing to ditch them to recover their cash investment to either a) purchase bitcoins, b) purchase the next gen miner, or a & b.

Definitely here to stay

Medium of exchange, store of value, disruptiev technology, deflationary currency all in one
+1

Here's a crazy thought.  What if the US government were to outlaw BTC? Or attempt to screw things up with violating regulations?
