182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Point System Explained on: October 03, 2018, 07:40:38 PM
This post will be divided in the following sub topics

- Normal Point System
- Bonus Point System

Normal Point System
- When registration closes, we will divide the total number of participants by 2. Let's call that number X.
- We will then award daily points based on that number (X). (e.g. if we have 24 Participants, we will award 12 participants with points)
- Each day we will sort participants by their Daily ROI%, and award them points from the highest Daily ROI%, to the Xth lowest Daily ROI%.
- In case of ties we will use Global Average odds in order to solve the tie (player with highest average odds will win).

- A player needs to make at least 1 bet per day in order to receive points on that given day. [very important]
- Our Daily Betting time Frame has 24h and starts each day at 00h UTC.
- Only Bets that settle on that given day, will be counted for the minimum bet requirement of that given day. [very important]

For example:
- Player A ranks first on that day with 20% Daily ROI and gets 12 points;
- Player B ranks second with 19% Daily ROI and gets 11 points;
- We will keep doing this, until we get player 12th that gets 1 point;

Bonus Point System
- We will also award some bonus points, still based on their Daily ROI%.
- That bonus will be equal to that player's Daily ROI% divided by 2, and can never exceed the max points that player would get with the normal system.
- Bonus points are only given to users with positive Daily ROI%.
- A player can only receive Bonus Points, if he qualified for normal points as well.

For example (Still awarding 12 points to the first 12 players, after sorting them by Daily ROI%):
- Player A ranks first with 30% Daily ROI.
- 30/2 = 15, but since the max allowed points from the normal system is 12, he only gets 12 bonus points instead of 15. So he would get a total 12 + 12 bonus = 24 points.

- Player B ranks second with 5% Daily ROI.
- 5/2 = 2.5. Since he is allowed to get 11 points for ranking second, he can receive the total 2.5 bonus points. So he would get a total 11 + 2.5 bonus = 13.5 points.

Why is this system better than just using global ROI%?

183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Rules on: October 03, 2018, 07:40:20 PM
This post is divided in the following Sub Topics

1. Registration Process
2. Betting Rules (how to make valid bets)
3. Side Notes

1. Registration Process
1.1 Create one or up to three accounts at Betking.io (our sponsor) if you don't already have them
1.2 One account is needed for each entry you would like to use (see Rule 1.6 about Multi Entry).
1.3 Make a post in our "Registration Thread", informing us that you will be joining our competition, and provide us with your Betking.io Username

1.4 Minimum bankroll $50 (Bitcoin equivalent).
1.5 There is no need to make the $50 deposit. You can participate as long as you are able to make valid bets for this competition (Check Point 2. "Betting Rules", for more information on Valid Bets).

1.6 Each player can register up to 3 entries for this competition (Multi Entry).
1.7 Each entry will be treated as an unique account, meaning that all rules apply (e.g. number of bets required to qualify for prizes, etc).
1.8 You can compete for prizes with all three entries at the same time (meaning possible multiple prize wins on both Monthly and Weekly formats).

2. Betting Rules (how to make valid bets)
2.1 All Bets must be made from the Betking.io account provided during the registration for this competition. Bets not made this way will not count for the competition.

2.2 Bets need to be made with your own funds. Bets made with free bets, or other bonuses will not count as a valid bet.

2.3 For the purpose of this competition the max bet stake is capped at 5% of your current bankroll.
2.4 For the purpose of this competition the minimum bet stake is 1% of current bankroll. All bets below this amount will not count for the competition.

Note: Please understand that every bet made, above or bellow these values, will of course be fully paid in your account, but they will only affect the competition leaderboard as if they were made with 5% of current bankroll, or will have no effects at all, if they were made bellow 1% of current bankroll.

2.5 A minimum of 80, 60 or 30 (depending on your bankroll option) bet slips must be made during the competition to qualify for prizes.
If you make less you will not qualify for prizes.

2.6 You cannot have "duplicate" bets even if they are made at different odds. If you do so, we will only count the first one.

3. Side Notes
3.1 These rules may suffer changes at any moment. If that happens everyone will be informed.

3.2 This competition will be monitored by me and u9y42, with the help of Betking.io

3.3 A leaderboard for the competition will be created and will be available in Betking.io

3.4 We reserve the right to disqualify users trying to abuse this competition in any way.
184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Sig/Avatar/Personal Message Incentives on: October 03, 2018, 07:39:40 PM
Sig/Avatar/Personal Message Incentives

Quote
- We will offer some incentives for those users that choose actively promote the competition in their Signature or Avatar or Personal Message, or any combination of these options, during the competition outside of games and rounds.

- There are no minimum post requirements. You just need to be normally active in the gambling discussion section.

- If we consider you are not being active enough, we will issue a warning by private message, and give you some time to adjust.

- Resources are available HERE

Personal message Incentive
Lower the odds requirement to 1.3

Avatar Incentive
Players can choose to receive their Daily Challenge Prizes in the form of "Bonus Betting Balance" instead of "Free Bets".
This means they will get their betting stake refunded after betting, but will need to bet 3 times the prize amount.

Signature Incentive
The Weekly Prizes rollover restrictions are lowered into betting the prize value 2 times instead of 3 times.

All three resources
All the previous effects for Daily and Weekly prizes, plus no restrictions to the Monthly prizes

Please note that all these effects are cumulative, but you need to use each one to get each effect.
Here are some examples:
- If a Player only uses signature, he will only affect the Weekly Prizes restrictions (so betting restrictions would remain @1.5);
- If he uses personal message and signature, he will also get the effect of betting @1.3 instead of 1.5 plus the effect of betting the prize value of the Weekly Prizes only 2 times instead of 3.
185  Economy / Gambling discussion / Restrictions and Rollover requirements on: October 03, 2018, 07:39:17 PM
Restrictions and Rollover Requirements

Restrictions
- We need that at least half of our registered entries complete the minimum required valid bets for their bankroll option (80, 60 or 30 bets) during the competition, in order for Full Prizes to be paid.

- This number should not exceed 50 (so if we have more than 100 registered entries, we will only need 50 of those to make the minimum number of valid bets in order for full prizes to be paid)

- If that number is not reached, Betking.io reserves the right to Cut the prizes in Half.

- Each player needs to place a minimum of 80, 60 or 30 (depending on his bankroll option) bet slips during the competition to qualify for prizes [very important]

- Prizes are credited manually, and should usually be credited within 48h.

Rollover Requirements
- The rollover requirements described bellow can be lowered/changed, if participants use our "Sig/Avatar/Personal Message Incentives".

Daily Challenge Prizes Rollover requirements
- Please read "Sig/Avatar/Personal Message Incentives" to learn how to lower/change these requirements
- Daily Prizes will be paid in the form of Free Bets (see definition bellow)
- Free bets needs to be placed @1.5 or over

Weekly Prizes Rollover requirements
- Please read "Sig/Avatar/Personal Message Incentives" to learn how to lower/change these requirements
- Weekly Prizes will be paid in the form of Bonus Betting Balance (see definition bellow)
- A player will need to bet 3 times the prize value before he can withdraw funds from his account
- Only bets placed @1.5 or above will count for this rollover requirement

Monthly Prizes Rollover requirements
- Please read "Sig/Avatar/Personal Message Incentives" to learn how to lower/change these requirements
- Monthly Prizes will be paid in the form of Bonus Betting Balance (see definition bellow)
- A player will need to bet 1 time the prize value before he can withdraw funds from his account
- Only bets placed @1.5 or above will count for this rollover requirement

Prizes Definitions
Free Bets (definition)
- The player will get a credit on his account.
- He will be able make one bet with the entire credit at once but he will only get his winnings, and the betting stake will not be refunded.
Example: A user gets a $10 Free Bet. He bets $10 @1.5 and wins. He will get a payout of $5 from that Free Bet, instead of $15 (the $10 betting stake was not refunded in his winnings).
- The player will only be able to use the free bet in pre-match single bets (so no parlays or live events)

Bonus Betting Balance (definition)
- The player will get a credit on his account.
- He can manage this credit anyway he wants in order to place normal bets.
- He will get the stake refunded on every bet, so these prizes will be treated as a normal betting balance.
- The player will only be allowed to withdraw from his account once he clears the prize rollover though.

Great. I hope even more will join to make it interesting. Till when we got time to decide what bankroll to start with.

You can freely change your starting bankroll and / or entries you will use until Monday (October 8); after that, I suppose we can still make some changes in entries that haven't made bets yet.

Hi White sugar, nice to have you back with us. Smiley

So, normal prizes for the first entry (and 80 bets minimum to receive prizes, which going by past history, you'll no doubt get Cheesy), double Daily / Weekly / Monthly prizes for the second entry (and 60 valid bets minimum), and triple prizes for the last entry (and 30 bets minimum for prizes). By the way, I suppose we can register you with a $800 starting bankroll if you want, but $500 are already enough for triple prizes - do you want to keep the $800 starting bankroll anyway?
197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Free Betting Competition $2000 in Prizes Sponsor: Betking.io (Discussion Thread) on: September 22, 2018, 09:30:37 PM
I enjoyed it very much and organization was top level. I agree betting is long term so in my opinion monthly leader boards should stay. I know it discourage players who fall out behind but that's why there are daily challenges.

Here is an idea that might entertain the participants and spark some grudge matches. A separate leader board in which only 1 account will count per player. Each day a player will battle against another player predetermined by draw. Something like a league. Scoring might be:
- 3 points on win and positive roi
- 2 points on win and negative roi
- 1 point on lose and positive roi
- 0 points on lose and negative roi

It might include play-offs at the end or just play out like a league depends of the number of rounds needed to finish.

We actually did something like that in previous editions. Smiley

It might be a little too complicated to set up for this second edition though, but we'd definitely love to know what the other participants think about setting that up again in the future. Thanks vd309. Keep those ideas coming. Wink

EDIT: By the way, as things currently stand, the prizes will be distributed between vd309, hahay and Pif (the only ones who registered so far). Are you guys going to let that happen? Or are you going to register and wrest those prizes away from them? Smiley

Also, keep in mind that the more participants the competition gets the better content (possibly including prizes) we can get for you guys.
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY][SEM] Semux - Bitcointalk Signature Campaign on: September 22, 2018, 09:15:49 PM
Looks simple and interesting bounty. Also the project is interesting for me. Reminds the beginning of NANO project

** Is there any requirement to put logo on prof pic? I couldn't see any term like that but İ see lots of users already wearing it

Nope, you don't have to use the avatar, nor do you get rewarded for doing so, as far as I know.

Don't know how this weeks signature campaign payout will be handled but it looks like a lot of people had their posts deleted by the forum admins. This will move post counts back and in some cases I suspect in some instances quite a bit back. This is not the devs fault, just a strange situation to be in...

It's starting to sound like someone has been busy reporting posts, maybe in an effort to knock out the competition, if you know what I mean... Roll Eyes

(ib4 everyone starts doing it, and we all go down a couple hundred posts and nobody gets paid Cheesy)

#29 Daily Challenge Winner
And finally, the winner of the 29th Daily Challenge, "Parlay / accumulator won with the highest number of selections (minimum odds @1.80)", was Bolt Brownie (Bolt2), with this parlay: https://betking.io?betId=50710872 (won @2.00 with 6 selections). Congrats Bolt Brownie!

Congrats to all the winners! And in particular to vd309, Omikifuse and White sugar for the consistently good results they achieved throughout the competition.

We didn't quite have half of the registered entries (19) making the minimum 80 bets required for full prizes, but BetKing.io has decided to pay the prizes in full anyway. Thanks BetKing. Smiley

We would ask the participants that are to receive a Weekly / Monthly prize to create a new BetKing account specifically to receive them, and post or PM us the account name - if you have done so already, in order to receive one of the Daily Challenge prizes as a Bonus Betting Balance, there's no need to create another account (we can use that one again to credit these prizes).

I hope you all enjoyed the competition, and will stick around for the sequel - more on that in a later post. In the meantime, if you have any suggestions on how we can improve the competition, now is the time to post them. Smiley
