I'd like to know something : what does make someone win the daily challenge ? Is it the people who made the best ROI percentage of the day ?

As Furious 7 mentioned, each daily challenge can have a different objective: one of those can indeed be for participants to get the highest ROI that day; others can reward the participant with the bet won at the highest odds; others yet can reward the parlay with the most bets; and many others - take a look through this thread (corresponding to the period of the last round) to see a few more examples.

I'd like to know something : what does make someone win the daily challenge ? Is it the people who made the best ROI percentage of the day ?

daily challenge will be announced on page 1 You can check every day at 06.00  forum time
there is some order one of the highest ROI, winning streak, most betting, the highest number of bets  and many more

Well, we'll probably keep much the same schedule this round; that is, we'll make a new post every day (at 22h UTC) announcing the winner of that day's challenge, and the challenge for the following day (and we'll also edit the second post in this thread to reflect this information, as you point out).

Damn , just now saw the thread of chess skills for bitcoin and was happy to know that their is a site with bitcoin for chess, and now at the end of the comment i am seeing that the site is closed.

can anyone tell me if their is any bitcoin site for chess , i really want to play chess for bitcoin.

Even if there was, would you really want to play there?

I mean, just look through the 11 pages of users discussing the possibility of others cheating through the use of bots - human players wouldn't stand a chance. Tongue
1163  Economy / Gambling / Re: try your chess skills for bitcoin on: March 29, 2016, 07:12:00 PM
Do you get satoshi even ? Who has ?
I can't find out to change the difficulty level. Sad how do i ?
And what's the prize per difficulty level ?

Well, at the moment, you don't - the site isn't even online anymore (nor has it been in a long time, I think).

Hi, dunhilBLACK. This is the Tipster Competition - read all about it, and register, in the following thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1248467.0.

EDIT: well, not register, it seems - see FrueGreads' response below. Tongue
1165  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Platoon Game - Web Based Multiplayer Strategy Game for Real Bitcoin on: March 22, 2016, 09:33:48 AM
I ask this because the other game by Aliser is pinned as ponzi. I received red trust after posting something positive about Minerfarm by the user Cryptodevil. This make me confused about who is right and what is the true story here. Who can explain me?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1173617.940

I haven't really followed what happened with Minerfarm, so I can't help with that (and the thread looks 48 pages too large, at the moment). Tongue

In relation to this game, however, this is what I can say: you don't have to deposit BTC to play (although that will eventually give you an advantage later on in the game); the amount you get from building things in-game is relatively small (maybe in the order of a faucet, maybe a bit more? it does depend on the level of what you are building though, I think1); and the game has ads. Now, I can't tell what proportion of the payments players get are coming from ads, versus other players' deposits, or the developers' wallets or wherever, but maybe the OP can share that with us, to clear any doubts.

1 - I'm not sure how that is implemented exactly but, I imagine that, if the amounts paid during game play were proportional to the total amount the game has available (somewhat similar to what I think PipsTycoon was trying to do), that would remove any issue altogether.
1166  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Platoon Game - Web Based Multiplayer Strategy Game for Real Bitcoin on: March 22, 2016, 08:07:48 AM
Is this game paying or just another ponzi I am bit skeptical to start with another game. The last few games I have played are all ended in trouble.

I've only tried withdrawing BTC once, so far, but had no issues with it - here's the transaction ID (it's from last week): https://blockchain.info/tx/bdc78ebc9cadc95cf67355c386a87473f0fbbdac5e44ac99bfd261f0f2980ee0.

However, for the sake of full disclosure, I should say I never deposit money/BTC in online games and have no intention of doing so with this one either (however much I may like the game); so, only my time is at stake here.

Guys, you don't need to quote FrueGreads' post because of today's challenge - just post the bets as you normally would. Wink
1168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: V FREE Tipster Competition -sponsored by DirectBet- (Discussion Thread) on: March 20, 2016, 07:11:20 PM
I have two prizes to claim because I was too lazy to log in the account and claim the first price, how will it be now? Also I lost all my first prize and still have the withdraw restriction.

And I have a withdraw with error because I tried to withdraw 0.00907824   BTC to the 'address'  0.00907824. The system should verify if the address is valid before the withdraw is made, just like it is done with the bets.

Hmm, it might be best to PM DirectBet about that error. In relation to the daily prizes, you can still claim them, of course - please PM DirectDice about them.

And, about the withdrawal restriction, here's what DirectDice had posted earlier:

Finally I won a daily challenge

Just a doubt,  will I be able to withdraw the balance I already have in my wallet or all withdraws will be blocked until I reach the 1000 loyalty points, even if I lose more than 30mBTC?

Hi Omikifuse,

Congratulations on your win Smiley

If you happen to lose the 30 mBTC please contact us and we will remove the withdrawal restriction from your account.

You can also alternatively request to receive your prize in DOGE. This way you will have a withdrawal restriction only on your DOGE and will be able to continue and play with your BTC without any withdrawal restrictions also while clearing the bonus.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or if you need anything.

Thanks a lot !

All the Best,

Michelle

I am probably too late for this one, The shape of the competition has already been made too, is the next one coming at the end of the month Smiley ?

Thanks

We'll probably need some time after the end of the round to review the competition, and make any changes that may be needed - but we'll try to keep it short. Wink

However, before giving up on this round, remember there are still 330 mBTC to be given out as daily prizes, plus the 70 mBTC participation prize (if you have 100 bet slips). Also, with 7 paid places, and the participant on the 7th place currently with a ROI less than 17%, you still have a good shot at the top prizes (5th and 6th place aren't that much higher either).

when can a player join wars / attack other players? are there prerequisites to build before one can do these things?

As soon as you have a Radar Tower (or the equivalent in the Red Guild; allows you to see the map, and players around you), and some units (you'll need a War Factory for that), you'll be able to attack others. However, unless you are in a war between Federations, there is a limit of 3 attacks per day you can make on the same territory.

I hope this post can help admin to announce the challenge winner... Smiley
Because i like to try to win today challenge Cheesy

Hmm, the problem with Mrs.Van.Braam's bets isn't exactly the odds at which they were placed, but rather, whether the minimum bet stake was used in them (at least 1% of the participant's current bankroll).

At any rate, this won't impact today's challenge at all - everything will work as if yesterday's winner had been announced as usual, so feel free to win today's challenge. Wink
1172  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Platoon Game - Web Based Multiplayer Strategy Game for Real Bitcoin on: March 17, 2016, 01:21:03 PM
Ugh... some of my forces seem to be stuck in limbo, after successfully attacking an enemy territory. I'm getting the "Turning back from target [omitted] -Completed-" message, and the page attempting to reload, but that's as far as it goes. The attacking units haven't returned, captured resources aren't credited to the attacking territory, and any page that shows the messages is now bugged (attempting to reload the page continuously, it seems).

Help! Cheesy

EDIT: by the way, I don't think I received the attack report (though I might have accidentally deleted it); also, I don't believe wreckage was left in the attacking territory, even though the defending units disappeared (I don't think anyone had the time to collect it, between the time the attack took place, and I went to check on it; and it's an inactive player, so they weren't moved either).
1173  Economy / Gambling / Re: try your chess skills for bitcoin on: March 17, 2016, 01:10:23 PM
How would you structure that kind of game? If you set it up for human vs computer, you cannot force it to make the moves you want it to make, because the computer makes the moves for you. I have a chess game on my phone, and I cannot tell it what moves it must make or plan strategies in advance for it. I am not saying it is not possible, because there are many different Chess Apps out there. If someone found a anti-cheat for a concept like this, it might just work. ^smile^

You don't need to force the computer program to make any move whatsoever - like he said, you just need to start the chess program, take the position of the other player on your phone app (that is, you copy the other player's moves to the app), let the computer make its move, then copy the move the computer made to the site. Tongue

In case you want to cheat mid-game, however, then you do have to use a chess program that lets you configure the starting positions - but that's about it, and shouldn't be too hard to find, I think.

Hey, everyone. The winner of today's challenge is... MonsterV, with a parlay won at the odds of 9.81. Congrats on another daily challenge won, MonsterV. Smiley

(please PM your playing wallet account directly to Michelle (DirectDice) who will personally fund it with the prize amount)

For the next challenge, the winner will be the participant who has the most bets (or parlays) won in sequence, as shown in the list of bets for each individual participant; however, only bets won at odds greater than 1.2 will count (bets won at odds below or equal to 1.2 will simply be ignored; they won't reset a sequence).

Good luck!

Would you pliss change/update The announcement on 1st page about daily challenge?? Because i usually check about daily challenge on this thread first page..
Thx alot..

Oh, sorry about that - FrueGreads forgot to change that yesterday, it seems. He will do it when he gets back online.

Yep, brianlee01 is right, this should be posted in the Main Thread - unless there is something wrong with those bets you would like to discuss? If so, please let us know.

Hmm, I recently tried withdrawing a small amount from the game, and got paid three times (well, four, but one of the transactions is unlikely to confirm). Cheesy

Where should I send the extra coins? (they came from different addresses)

Sorry, rahmawati6718, but you need to register first, before you can enter the competition. Tongue

To do so, go to the Registration Thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1248467.0), post your username, the address you will be using during the competition, your starting bankroll, and ... done - you will be entered into this round of the Tipster Competition shortly thereafter.

EDIT: you too, hkla241. Tongue
