301  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Legally Pay out Bitcoins from localbitcoins on your bank account ? on: February 01, 2016, 09:55:06 PM
Why would you need a passport? I, for one, have not needed a passport to exchange on localbitcoins.
302  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: What if Bitcoin is made illegal? We must reject the illuminati takeover ! on: February 01, 2016, 09:48:29 PM
Leaving aside the illuminati nonsense, I don't see why bitcoin should be made illegal. And if some countries should decide to ban it others won't. And internet will be free. At least I hope it will remain that way.
303  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Domain Seized: Is this common? on: February 01, 2016, 09:45:42 PM
So then what's the point of having a website in the US? Just for the .us domain? I don't think that so much trouble is worth it just for that. They can keep their domain.
304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is unsustainable, according to Vice on: February 01, 2016, 09:39:31 PM
Even being a negative feedback is good to keep bitcoin alive, soo being good or bad feedbacks wont affect in any way the bitcoin ,just need to keep being talking about it,its wizzard bitcoin is soo related to the ilegal that it is growing and well time will teacth who didnt enter early to think twice about inovation.

I don't think you need to worry about bad advertising. Bitcoin won't be affected just because some reporter tried to stir the waves a bit with his article.
305  Economy / Auctions / Re: facebook account "BitCoin" on: February 01, 2016, 09:36:49 PM
That's what I was saying too. I'm not sure what gives that account the value that the user asks for it.
306  Economy / Services / Re: BetBTC - Bitcoin Sports Betting | Signature Campaign | Auto Payouts (daily) on: January 31, 2016, 10:27:40 PM
One more thing. About the 1 post in 60. Does this have to be done every 60 posts or just once?

It will check if any of your last 60 posts was made on the topic. If at least one occorency happens the daily credit will be processed. So yes, you should post there at least once per 60 posts

I really did not understand the first two propositions but the last one I think did it - once every 60 posts. Thanks.

No payment for today for me either. Did I break some rule as well?

Daily payment is everyday at 22.55GMT (45mins left!)

Right - forgot about the GMT part. Thanks!

310  Economy / Auctions / Re: facebook account "BitCoin" on: January 31, 2016, 01:38:09 PM
That's cute but I don't really see the value of it. Not trying to be mean but it seems just like a facebook account and that's all of it.
311  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is unsustainable, according to Vice on: January 31, 2016, 01:36:20 PM
Isn't Vice a gossip magazine? Just trying to get visitors.

On another point - Bitcoin will not disappear, at least not until all of it will be mined. That's my opinion at least.
312  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Domain Seized: Is this common? on: January 31, 2016, 01:34:04 PM
Can they really just seize the domains and along with them people's money? That doesn't sound right.
Yes, the US can if the domain is hosted in the states. They only seize the domain though, if the hoisting is off shore.

Yep, they can seize the domain name if it's hosted in the US...but they can also work with other governments and seize domains in other countries.  They seized Bodog's  domain name temporarily in 2011 which was hosted in Costa Rica I believe....so yes, they can do it.  However, this particular event seems like an exit scam and not an actual seizure.

Jeez. I really don't get it. The internet is free, and they are struggling as hard as they can to stop that. The freedom that the internet has must make governments crazy. Well I'll tell you just one think - the fight will not stop!
313  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: CoinFest 2016 on: January 31, 2016, 01:32:10 PM
So it will be in different places on the map simultaneously? I'm curious how many will there be in Europe.
Amsterdam, Arnhem, Manchester, Copenhagen, Helsinki, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Tallinn...

Quite a long way from where I'm at. I should get busy and get some BTC if I want to get there. Smiley
314  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you actively spend your bitcoins? on: January 31, 2016, 01:30:38 PM
Well, it's money isn't it? It's meant to be spent. And seeing how much bitcoin fluctuates nowadays I don't think it's a good idea to keep it under the mattress.
Yeeeep! You shouldn't keep 100% of your bitcoins in long-term storage. Obviously, you don't want to spend all the money - hold on in case the price goes skyrocketting, but you can spend some money on expenses occasionally. Of course, you should also try trading and seek out some profit that way too
Exactly. It's just common sense that you would use with real money as well. Things in real life also apply here.
315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's stopping people from using bitcoin? on: January 31, 2016, 01:29:14 PM
It's not even about understanding about profit and transactioning. People do not get how can there be noney that doesn't exist and that no one governs. Like a bank. It's nothing, nowhere. But it's still money with real value.

It's really the knowledge that makes us different from those who do not use bitcoin, but if they too, know that it has a value and it can be use, then one day they'll be here...  Smiley

Remember that once there were people using salt for money, or feathers at one point. Also, what gives gold value? Read about it - it's more than interesting. The simple fact is that it is not easily degradable. Salt, feathers, bitcoin - it has value because we say so.

Centuries ago salt was very hard to obtain (as gold) and therefore it's value was so high. Mean of payment have to be somehow rare to not inflate economical system with excessive supply.

Exactly.

And also to the user that said that the price of bitcoin fluctuates I want to tell him that in Europe for example there are countries where the euro hasn't been implemented yet and because of the exchange ups and downs there are people getting rich like crazy. It's the same with bitcoin, only that it's electronic.
316  Other / Off-topic / Re: what you like best in Bitcoin ? on: January 31, 2016, 01:26:25 PM
The best thing which I like in bitcoin is its lightening fast transaction speed. We can send and receive money in seconds and there is no one in the middle who trace it or check it.

Not sure what watch you use, but 10 min (average conf time) is far from being lightening fast.
Would you prefer that is would be instantaneously but with such taxes that after 10 transactions the taxes would amount to an 11th one? 10 is more than fair considering the advantages it has.
317  Economy / Economics / Re: How too get rich on: January 31, 2016, 01:24:28 PM
I thought this was a serious discussion, not a scenario for a sci-fi movie. I mean, it was a cute remark but I think the thime machine should be put to rest.
318  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin goes up very high should i buy a house? on: January 31, 2016, 01:23:24 PM
Just think about it dude. It's a house. That you've bought. With your own money. Nothing else says more than that that you're a man. And that house will become your castle.
319  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetBTC - Bitcoin Sports Betting | More Sports | Instant Payments | Like Betfair on: January 31, 2016, 01:21:28 PM
I've lost some money on dice the first time I bet. Not the most pleasant experience. I suspect this betting thing is addictive.

Gambling can be addictive. You should always play responsibly and never bet more than the amount you can lose.

Well it wasn't a big sum and also I could afford to lose it but it was also frustrating. It was dice and I believe the randomizer on that website was rigged.
320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a manipulated coin? on: January 31, 2016, 01:19:26 PM
I personally am curious what will happen when mining will stop. Then the real war and manipulation will begin.
Bitcoins is a manipulated coin same like some how other currencies. if we believe that this is a real currency then I am hundred percent sure that one day people will try to buy and sell everything with bitcoins only.

Agreed. And you don't have to believe. It is money. I've bought things with bitcoin. There are actual e-stores that sell for bitcoin. If it's not real money than what are we all doing here? Playing?
