I'm sorry but this is beginning to be quite funny.
Don't be sorry. I am constantly laughing at myself when I stand back and see that I am becoming serious. I told 1aguar, after we had many discussions, that I was just playing around, and he, what's the word, placed me on hold or what do they call it?  What I'm sorry about is that I can't stop laughing - she's so serious and trying so hard, that it cannot be amusing. If she hangs on to her personal dignity, in her own eyes, she will turn into a great woman someday. Well she has, indeed, character. You see how she is ignoring us? I sure hope she has not stopped being my friend.  Also - don't be afraid. You know what the book says: "Love thy friend, and Love will conquer all" It's all about love my friends. |

I know a woman like that. Extremely smart, but very sensitive. Rather than fight, she'll change the subject entirely. Great women libbers these. But you never know it because they don't often hold signs or protests. They are very sure of themselves, a thing that most women libbers are not. If you can convert one to being your best friend - be you male or female - she'll be the most loyal person ever, even though you pick on her once in a while. Also - puberty is quite a heavy burden. No offense, but it's not about definitions people. It's about people's beliefs. In the past there were people worshiping the sun - a star. Even today there are people that plan their lives according to the zodiac - like there are only 12 types of people in the world and only 12 good/bad things happening around. If someone believes that a frog is God and someone believes something else they are going to start fighting. About a frog. People's thoughts drive their own actions. And everyone should believe whatever they want and leave everyone else do the same.
Also the OP's question was if Islam is a religion - it is. As of 2010, over 1.6 billion or about 23.4% of the world population are Muslims. (Wikipedia).
And just because we are all open minded people we should read the Quran. I'm not a Muslim. Just saying.

I think that what sase007 was trying to say is that there is only one God and the different religions interpret God through their own experiences.
And also that Islam is a religion in the broader sense of the word not that these three religions he mentioned are the same.
