Sorry for the delay all, I had to rebuild my rigs (well, all but 1). Had a PSU blow out, the one I suspected was going to die.

Great to hear a big guy is going to join us. I am not sure what's up with the current issues, but I am sure SC will have them sorted out quickly. Welcome!

A 'big guy'?  I only have 733 MH/s I'm afraid but I guess every little helps in a small pool.  Thanks.

I'm still struggling with reducing my stales but I imagine I'll get there in the end.  Indeed, being new to pool mining I don't know what's normal?

CGMiner fixed my stale issues.

Thanks for the tip but I can't get the hashrate in cgminer to even approach that which I can obtain in phoenix.

run cgminer with -I 8 param. the hashes will still be a bit lower, but almost no stales tends to be better in the long run.

This is a very promising pool.  Thanks for all of the hard work.

I've been solo mining for a long time and I finally joined this pool when you introduced PPLNS.

I was having some trouble earlier with the new server and frequent disconnects but I see you have things under control.  I'll try it again tomorrow but will stick with the old server for now.

May I ask why the dates on the x-axis of "Blocks found over last week" chart are ordered alphabetically rather than chronologically?

Yes, the new server didn't handle being smacked around with junk data. I rerouted the dns to the old server for now.

I tried using a newer OS version for the new pool, but I think I'll just directly mirror what I have on the old one since it handles things nicely.

Pardon the Rejects, looks like our servers are getting slammed.

Network attack, not in a good way...

The pool load is still almost nothing, just getting junk packets.

UPDATE: blocking as quickly as I can to alleviate the server stress.

Seems to have settled down quite a bit.

New pool server is nearly caught up on blocks! Shouldn't be long before I can open it up to everyone!

I recommend using http://bitcoin.bluematt.me/bitcoin-nightly/blockchain-nightly/ in the future Smiley
It allows for fast deploy of pool-servers.

Wow, that would would have made things a bit simpler... Bookmarked!

it's a hashrate file used by stats sites.

make the missing directory.  Wink

New pool server is up and running. I'm in not killing off the old one just yet or redirecting it, but the new one should have less stales and a better response.

409  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [Pushpool Web Frontend] Simplecoin v4.0 Opensource PHP/MySQL - NEW RELEASE on: August 11, 2011, 07:24:40 PM
Version 4 is now in the master and experimental branches!

There is no clear upgrade path from 2.0-4.0, It would be faster to migrate the shares/user data over manually than to rely on a script that may take hours to run.

Additionally version 4 is not without a few bugs, but overall it is more stable and usable than version 2 or 3.

There is a known issue with the stats, share count doesn't seem to be going up. This doesn't affect payout, just a quirk with the stats page.

I don't think our lifetime stats are going up.

Quite right, I'll get them fixed.

I should be waaaaaaaaay past neuromancer!!! Tongue

Especially with all the shares I submitted for the forgotten first block!!! Tongue

That'll be 3rd on the list....

After I make the new pool and update the source repo.

Speaking of the sql server..... If you notice any brief outages, I'm stripping unused fields/indexes from the database. Some of them are on tables with millions of records, causing locks on incoming data (aka the pool).

UPDATE: That should be the end of any outages.
So, I'm guessing THAT's the reason for all the stales!
I came home from work, and my stales are through the roof!  Cheesy

Yeah, I killed off 4 fields and 4 indexes which locked the shares table for a few minutes. That said, the table is now much smaller and should perform better.

I got a bunch of stales from it, but my stale % is still under 2%.

Hello,
When will you release the new updated version ? And will it have sql injection security ?
I really wanna use simplecoin , and if i install the current one is it upgradable to 4 ? I am looking up to open my pool today or tomorrow .
Please answer me Smiley Thanks !

Currently there will not be an easy upgrade path from 2-4. The database changes are drastic.
Version 2 should have sql injection security as should the expirimental branch in the repository.
So what do you suggest ?
I wanna work with simplecoin !! Smiley

I'm ironing out the last bits now. I'll have v4 in the repository soon enough.

I'm bored, sooooo I'm adding a dedicated pool server Wink

The sql server is performing so well, I want another 8core xeon box in our cluster.
417  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [0 Fees][19GHs] SIMPLECOIN.US - NEW REWARD SYSTEM on: August 10, 2011, 04:26:22 PM
Works now, but in the pool stats page it starts at Aug 10th all the way on the left and goes to Aug 09 on the right Tongue

Thanks, I'll get that fixed.
418  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [0 Fees][19GHs] SIMPLECOIN.US - NEW REWARD SYSTEM on: August 10, 2011, 03:32:36 PM
New Theme in place. There a few little inconsistencies with stats and things lining, but I'll get them worked out.

The header looks broken in chrome... it looks like some CSS isn't working or something. It is just plain links down the left side.

Sounds like the css is cached, I'll change the filename Wink

Thanks, it looks awesome now! Except none of the charts have labels on the bottom axis anymore!

Yes, your css is caching Tongue

That's also fixed, but it was one line in the css. try clearing your cache Cheesy

When are you going to update the last month hashrate chart to have the most recent day always be at the right? Wink

Fixed!
