Hello all, after the last weeks expirience with both miningpools the miningfarm 5.0 and the simplcoin frontend, i realized that i would love to have both merged together; so here is my suggestion; Why dnt use the miningfarm 5 database and cronjobs, the nice charts and combine it with the details that simplecoin provides on the stats page. The miningfarm 5 database is quite stable, of course everything can be more optimized. At least for the Stats i see quite i nice result from the programming cooperation of this two projects Tenobis http://mine.tenobis.com/The code is here https://github.com/Xenland/MiningFarm/If you wish to merge them, you are more than welcome. Both codebases have moved in different directions and have slightly different licensing now.

So did we find 136584? Or was it deepbit?
I don't know. We either found 136583 or 136584 though i think, and deepbit cound the other one. The easiest way to check would be for SC to see if we got 50.0000 (xxxx84) btc or 50.0599 (xxxx83) btc 50.0588, 62 confirms so far. stats page won't update until 120 confirms (working on a fix)

YEAH BLOCK FOUND WOOT Sauce.
Indeed! I'm working on fixing the stats page (it's nice, but it needs some adjustments). Currently confirms won't show until they reach 120.... So I'm working on making it show live stats.

Yeah, I deleted a third GPU worker since I only have two GPUs now. But I submitted 42k shares the second round and it shows 31k so I think that is why it is showing less than I should be getting
recreate the worker with the same name, it should fix estimates for this last round.
|
|
|
sirky, it was you that found the block, grats.
SC, do you know why my earnings decreased from 0.87...to 0.58...in an hour...
EDIT: I submitted 42k shares this round but now it's only showing I submitted 31k shares?
Earnings estimates can drop when the speed of the pool increases. As for a change in share count.... did you delete a worker? If so, re-create it. If not, I'll dig through the db.

Nope, looks like we got a block! (and there is a reporting issue in the charts).
Still immature, but 12 confirmations so far. I'll get it all fixed and award the block finder his/her bonus shortly.
Fixed the stat page. seems the block is reporting the active block when the site caught the winning share. The site still splits all shares before the found block.
If you ever want exacts on the server bitcoin client, just look at the transaction log. It'll show the generation, confirms, txid, etc.

Welcome new users hope you all stick around!

Please don't worry about the site load stating critical. I'm just testing payout dry-runs No worries, everything looks good One of the forks of my code had concerns, I'm just running it all against live data for the other users of my source.

Sorry for the delays in new code, just trying to implement a handful of new features.
I was going to call this next release 2.1, but since it affects so much it'll be 3.0.

I'm Runing 6870's for now considering the new hd6870x2 that released gonna order one see and test it out
I'm running: main dev machine ubuntu hashkill: 1x6870@ 940 - 278mh 1x5850@900 - 330mh headless miner ubuntu hashkill: 2x5830s@ 950 - 610mh daughter win7 poclbm: 1x6870@ 920 - 230mh (running with sleep to not overheat) 1x5850@ 775 - 310mh I suspect I'll get a bit more out of them once I make a "fans at 100%" profile for when I'm not around.

Our pool uses pushpoold with a custom script for Long Polling which works better than blkmond. I'm not sure what information you are trying to gather, but pushpoold is no longer the problem as I first suspected. JoelKatz has patched the heck out of bitcoind for pool operators to bring the bottleneck from ~300GH/s to ~1000GH/s and other improvements.
Yes, the new patched bitcoin client is fantastic. I've had 0 downtime after switching. There is no more need for blkmond either, which is one less dependency. My cronjobs seem to have a bigger impact than pushpool now, which is fantastic.

Adding one more btc to the pot for this round... Thats 3 bonus btc for the finder of the next block Also http://simplecoin.us/transactionlog.php will give you a raw dump of the bitcoind transactionlist array. It's not pretty (yet) but it gives full transparency to the honesty of the site. (The receive at the beginning is the transfer from the original vps that the site started on.) PS. New quad 6870 box is being shipped monday (I know... 6870s aren't the best for mining, but I couldn't pass it up) Also slapped a 6870 into a different slot, gotta downclock it due to heat though Still should get close to 1.8Ghash. Hopefully I'll break 3 with the new box.

Alright, I'll point all my miners back at this pool for the weekend, see if we can get a snowball effect rolling. As I've mentioned before, I really like this pool and want to see it succeed. So for that reason, I will personally put up a 2BTC bounty for this current block. I'll donate it to SC, and he can dish it out to the lucky winner. Hopefully a block bounty will bring in some extra hashers! SC - think you could advertise this on the front page of this thread? Maybe put it in the thread title or maybe start a new thread? That way people can see it easily. I'll PM you the exact amount I'm donating so you know it's from me CURRENT BLOCK BOUNTY - 2BTC-cb Thank you! I'm working on getting my miners back online... nothing like having 6 cards down. Looks like the latest storm killed an SLI slot also. Additionally, if I find the block I'll roll the cb's bonus to the next round (update: well, at least I've got 5 cards up now.... that last 6870 just won't recognize...)

I know it scared me off. If I see you guys start hitting blocks again I would be willing to move back, but I'm just not seeing it right now.
Well, without hashes, it'll just get longer Your luck should be the same anywhere..... well, anywhere that is legitimate. With all the claims of pools being dishonest, I'm tempted to put up a page with the bitcoin client transaction log for further transparency. I want this site to be as reputable as possible, with all the reasons for miners to enjoy it. I'm always open to suggestions on site features and anything to help my sites miners. I'd even change the round calculations if enough users wanted it (Prop/MaxPPS/PPS/LastNShares/etc). Right now I'm working on performance and a few features from other simplecoin forks.

I'm guessing the long round is scaring people off

I got another 300mh online as promised. Too bad my daughter's pc is running with the side off for now ....
And of course I get a miner meltdown.... Wake up to hashkill @ 0Mhash on 2 machines. Only the new miner was up...
|
|

Ah, it works if I leave off -n. But I can only run 1 instance in linux, 2 doesn't seem to work.
Without -n I'm about 7-8 mhash behind hashkill on my dedicated miner and 20-25 on my workstation

Trying to install on Natty 64bit.
I can build both tarball and git versions, but neither works.
The 1.2.4 tarball just says: Segmentation fault The git repo says: 2 GPUs Detected. Then back to shell
trying against 2.4sdk, 11.6 catalyst. Dual 5830s.
I have no problems running hashkill, phoenix or poclbm on this box.
