So far I found the best for US resident is Square cash card. A debit Visa card that allow buying and selling Bitcoin. The card is free, the cash app on the same account functions like Venmo. The Square boss is same Twitter CEO, a Bitcoin fan.

This is my first time to hear that square cash is now accepting bitcoin or selling. Do you know how much the minimum deposit in square cash? I am using this before for making netflix account before so I think right now I'm going to use this again if the square cash minimum deposit is lower $4 in BTC. Zero minimum deposit requirement. Everything on Square cash app, Visa debit card is free. Visa debit card also offer a reward thing called boost, $1 off coffee purchase, or discounts at other restaurant. I am new at Square, but so far I bought $10 bitcoin , the price was good. Maybe slightly worse than coinbase or germini, but reasonably good. The weekly Bitcoin buying limit is high ($10, 000usd for verified account). I think Square cash app is really competing with Venmo. But Venmo or PayPal hate bitcoin/crypto, Square/Twitter CEO is Bitcoin fan, this is difference. |

The trick here is that cash sitting in Square cash app/cash card account can be used to buy and sell bitcoin, But the process is manual. It won't automatically convert bitcoin to cash or verse versa. Obviously, only the cash portion can be used for debit card, or withdraw into bank account. Twitter/Square CEO has been saying that he wants Square to have full crypto function in the future. They update their software frequently, hopely in the future we can get better service from them. Still as it is, it is already an outstanding service to crypto community in USA in my opinion.

Update on Mar 17, 2019: Large NENG buying at ShorelineCrypto Exchange on March 14 was related to FCK listing at ShorelineCrypto as disclosure. ShorelineCrypto new coin listing fee was cut dramatically recently to 0.01 BTC. There is 50% listing fee discount if the coin listing fee is paid exclusively on NewEnglandcoin (NENG). FCK fee payment event happened on March 14, 2019. We expect that NewEnglandcoin (NENG) demand will rise in the future if more coins are listed at ShorelineCrypto Exchange. Still cant get the wallet to sync

I noticed that too. The syncing is quite slow. FCK has 1 million plus blocks. Also the version FCK forked from (bitcoin/litecoin) is quite old. Compare the syncing speed to that of NewEnglandcoin (NENG), the difference is huge. For now, Leave the wallet running for two three days, it will be done. The long term better solution is to have dev to compile a bootstrap.dat file and place this file at somewhere, say Google drive. Then new users can just download the file and place it in the Wallet data folder, then syncing speed will improve dramatically. |

Yes, you need to download the binary wallet files from github release link. the wallet on Mac/Windows/Linux are all full node wallet. The syncing is very fast, could be done in a couple of hours. CPU mining is all on the full node wallet. The mined coins from Cheetah will show up in the wallet accordingly. |

There are a lot more CPU miners on NewEnglandcoin than months ago when I first posted on altcoin mining thread. At that point, my old linux PC can mine 1.5 million NENG per day on Cheetah.
Now the reward is much less, maybe 1/5 of what used to be. Still CPU mining can be fun and less demanding if you only do it casually on your own PC when you work or read online. It can be on low resource without affecting other activities. It adds a reward on Desktop PC or laptop. Running a full node, mining 300,000 NENG per day on a PC is still quite impressive rewarding CPU mining experience.
GPU solo miners and small ASIC solo miners probably are the dominant force on DynDiff Scrypt coin NENG mining together with CPU miners. Big ASIC miners are disadvantaged by the new algorithm hard fork upgrade recently.
