Can anyone shed some light on these constant drip fed sell orders on cryptsy at all?

Orders like this have been flooding in for at least the last 2 days now (probably more), sometimes at a rate of a dozen per second, all at around about the same value. I mentioned this a few days ago and someone said it was people trading between the different values on the various exchanges but they continue to pour in even when the value is the same across vircurex, bter, cryptsy etc?
We all mock and complain about cryptsy but i dont know how the hell their site even manages to run when its getting hammered on their API with automated trades like this. Why is this coin seemingly being played so hard with these auto trades of small values whilst most others aren't?
that simply looks like a multipool dumping coins. I suspect they do the smaller amounts instead of all at once to be able to constantly query the current value of the coin and try to pull a better price for them (so if the coin suddenly spikes to 40 satoshis they dump the later batches at 40 instead of a single big batch at 27). Of course that's my opinion, might or might not be how they work. |

So you are saying this coin will go up ? Its ....35 now . It was stable for a while at 95 , wonder if it will ever hit again 95  Long term? yes without a doubt. Short term? No. Theres plenty of time to dig in. I shall be buying and digging some more myself. What is the meaning of long term here, 6 months? that's a good estimate. The minimum is ~40 days, where the block reward will halve. |

Primecoin para mi sigue siendo el mas rentable a largo plazo, y su valor ha incrementado enormemente en los ultimos dias.
Con Protoshares no me ha ido bien, me gaste casi todo el cupón de Amazon en minar un solo PTS (el de 100 dolares, powerof60). Por suerte no fue dinero de mi bolsillo, sino estaba casi 80 dolares en deficit.

more echanges simply encourage more dumping. it's funny how all the mooncoin followers don't even know the basics. So.. How to pump it up? oh, so you want to pump and dump it? then of course, go to the exchanges. If you want this coin to gain value then it needs an ecosystem, services developed around it, games, gambling, retail market. Like any coin, you first need to generate the demand, not flood the market with 600 million coins being dumped each day on exchanges. |

if multipool and hashcows are currently mining wdc why are there still the thousands of sell orders dragging doge down? I suppose there is some lag time to sell off all those coins. multipools would have to stay away for quite some time for the sells to stop ... ?
the problem is they don't mine the other altcoins for long enough, multipool is doing DOGE again as for weaker coins it's easier to dump their markets when the pool throws 6 to 9 gigahashes into it. Multipool is the main culprit for all the ups and downs in both difficulty and pricing of the altcoins they work with. |

I'm happy i just lost 1 hour with this 600million premined coin.
The dev did a great job, sold smoke got 50-100 btc and not even care to say goodbye.
They are on twitter doing updates. Should be on new exchange in few hours  and reaching all new lows when the few people left dump what they have |

the dev only cared to hype the coin and premining so he could dump once it hit an exchange. Look, it worked fine for him, 4 days of work and he probably made 50-100 BTC with all the coin he dumped. Just another coin on the list of dogeclones that failed to understand why DOGE is successful. |

I see, that's why most coins are up on coinmarketcap today. sorry to break this onto you, but if most coins have a growth in cap above that of BTC then those coins are increasing in value by themselves against BTC. MOON is down 50% today, a bunch of serious coins like Namecoin, Primecoin and Peercoin have gone the other way with market cap increases above 30% Doge has dropped to 45 and every loves doge!!! I never heard of the coins you mentioned so can't comment. Noob alert, noob alert. Never heard of Namecoin, Primecoin or Peercoin... did you enter the crypto scene last week? and btw, DOGE is dropping to 45 because it's very profitable to mine, unlike MOON that at these prices people is simply dumping it and panic selling to move on to the next scamcoin. I got my payout too, but won't be visiting this faucet anymore. I know I shouldn't complain since it's free coins in the first place but with the new referral system, I won't be making enough coins for the site to be worth my time.

Sorry to hear that Frost000, but yeah I know what you mean, they changed how the whole thing works. It may get interesting again when they have the Jackpot game up and running. I hope they change a bit the algorithm on the rewards so that not having referrals isn't penalized that much like it is now (yeah in turn they would decrease the big reward for having many referrals, such is life.) The issue is that as Frost000 says it isn't profitable to visit the faucet under these rules anymore, unless you get to be one of the lucky 30 winners each day. I would personally be inclined to sacrifice part of my earnings for spinning by myself (I'm at almost 50 refs) if that means getting back some referral % again and those guys below me getting more to themselves at the same time. That's the only thing that can keep people around long enough to make this a profitable faucet for both the creator and us. |

Nope, already about 600 million dumped on coinex for MOON, current price 6 satoshis and quickly going to 1. DOGE still more profitable than crapcoin, MOON will not save us from the dumpers. |
