1  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Halving do Bitcoin em 2016 on: February 24, 2016, 01:11:13 PM

I'm buying bitcoins too but my first source here is not my own fiat. I used my bitcoin earnings from doing bitcoin earning job. I sold them to USD in an exchange site then buying coins when the price is dip. That's the start of my buying and selling journey.

Since fees charged by the exchanges in my country are too high, i'm not buying bitcoin using fiat money. I'm investing my time in activities paid in btc instead.

I strongly believe we'll see an impressive rise in price within the next months.

Just read this very enlightening thead https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1373804.0

Tactics to Be Employed by the Pseudo-Identities
Intensify Discussion: Any news that could be perceived as negative must be amplified to extremes and made into hyperbolic worst-case scenarios. The public departure of Mike Hearn from the Bitcoin space created an environment ripe for exploitation. The media got ahold of that and ran on it for days. This would have been a huge victory for subversives because it further eroded the perceived global integrity of Bitcoin both as a software and a solution. But the Hearn story is only one small example; the list of potential topics is endless: Blocks might fill up...the network will clog...nodes will crash... users will leave...Bitcoin will die!!!! Fear is not difficult to manufacture.

Depress Positive Momentum: Any story with positive attention should be downplayed while messengers of positive news should be accused of “being shills,” “scam artists,” or worse. Blockstream’s acquisition of capital and talent would, in many circles, be viewed as a net positive. Employing the simple tool of implied guilt, however, the perceived value of the asset book becomes a joke, or is used as evidence of foul play. For example: Bitcoin Core’s implementation of mempool limits to prevent the doomsday scenarios of #1 above gets spun as “another fee market!!!” Reality matters less than perception. Another victory.

Character Assassination: Identify flaws and foibles in thought leaders especially; question the integrity and good intentions of anyone who appears to possess either. Any number of names can be pointed to here. With the right amount of assets, you can accomplish quite a bit. Even if you don’t have the facts, choose potentially divisive targets and deploy your sock-puppets to make up rumors. Perception is what matters.

Instigate Fights: Mock and ridicule both sides of any disagreement that forms to accelerate existing antagonism and grow the division between disparate sides. This past month, a spam attack targeting members of the Reddit Bitcoin communities added more fuel to the fire. The message was sent from a variety of accounts, most with no posts or comments. The message was tailored to look like a personal message, championing the Ethereum platform. Naturally, this created a conflict due to the perceived competitive nature of Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Maintain Access to Pseudo-neutrality: Maintain a number of pseudo-identities with mild, thoughtful reputations to build support or ridicule when advantageous; ridicule and write off any who openly challenge your intentions; when pressed, claim objectivity. Or if reputation is not needed, go into full-blown troll mode and resort to ad hominems. This creates a scene and adds to the sense of collective group insanity, which demoralizes further.

Deny and Shift Blame: Any attempts by others to accuse of exploitation must be met by either silence or derision (situationally dependent). This is a simple tactic because it never gives any satisfaction of gains made in honest, impassioned debate. If the only result of the majority of your online debates is that you dread the replies to your posts, valuable discussion slows to a crawl.

7  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [AUTOBUY] METHOD: 6 EASY STEPS TO PROFIT at least 0.18 BTC PER MONTH [VOUCHED] on: February 22, 2016, 07:50:41 PM
This method is very good idea, but selling this to more people can disturb this system. Please consider that finally everyone can lose.

I agree. I bought and find it a great method, but if you oversell it it will become useless in a short time. Be careful!

cheers

I'm planning to close it by the end of the day tomorrow, I haven't reached 10 copies yet.

Do not worry, I'll not saturate the market!

Cheers

How many copies hare you sold?

This information is important so I can calculate the potential replication I can make for this method...

thanks

This information is pretty easy to get, or at least to have a decent estimate. You just have to take a look at the thread and count how many people have posted a review or stated they got a vouch or coupon... right?

como dá "like" no comentário? :-D

Good luck with your sale!

LOL

tottaly missed that, gonna fix it. I mean "her", not his.

Not being a native English speaker is sometimes tricky.

10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you store your bitcoins? on: February 22, 2016, 02:30:03 PM
I try to diversify. I keep a little in an android mycellium app, and most of my savings that are in bitcoin I keep inside a Ledger Wallet. I think it's the safest way to keep bitcoins nowadays.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: February 22, 2016, 02:29:05 PM
Bitcoins will develop a structure of alternative banking, but it won't make the banks disappear. Banking is universally known and the banks has been used by normal people. It takes time for bitcoin to reach normal people.

Even when it does, it will required a trully revolution in order for the governments to recognize it as an exchange currency. The world elites will not easily let go of their power...
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin trusted to put your real money on: February 22, 2016, 02:27:02 PM
There is nothing 100% trusted in the world. Anyways, I've been systematically putting some fiat into bitcoin wallets every month. I believe price will increase with the halving and I'll profit a little amount Cheesy

hello, how does this ticket work? Do I have to print it myself or you are going to forward it to me via Courier?

thanks

You'll be able to print it yourself. There's a verification mechanism that you can make with their custumer service.

still got 2 available.

Full pass is out of stock, so I should be selling this for a lot of more money. I'm in need of money so I'm selling it really cheap.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cheapest price you bought your Bitcoin(s) on: February 17, 2016, 07:32:54 PM
Exchange rate is not followed if someone needs to convert their coins to fiat so even if exchange rate is at $200, someone can still buy below $200 from those who wants fast money. I remember buying coins at rate of $180 while exchange rate is at $200.

17  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in 2020 on: February 12, 2016, 05:44:38 PM
My guess is that it's a really tough job to predict what's gonna be Bitcoin value in 2020 but if it goes high then it's really good for us. Until then we will have two halving, and muck power mining for mining fewer bitcoin. I guess Bitcoin in 2020 will be more stable and more popularized because more people will use it and more great marketplaces will use as well as payment processor, also it's price will increase during this period IMHO.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Estranged Core Developer Gavin Andresen Finally Makes Sensible 2MB BIP Proposal! on: February 11, 2016, 11:23:07 AM
Summary:

1) 'Node Centralization' is no reason to choose between 1MB Core and 2MB other
2) Doubling block size will have negligible impact upon node count
3) In the end, nodes are negligible marginal utility anyhow.
1) agreed; the debate is fees vs. adoption; I, for one, would rather delay the onset of fees in favor of adoption for now
2) agreed; with >5800 full nodes, I sincerely doubt all that many will be forced off the network unable to keep up
3) agreed; which is unfortunate; I, for one, would like to see non-mining full nodes paid at least a little bit

if those nodes do not get a satisfactory reward then supporting transactions would slowly become an unwanted task. This would be a huge problem for the ecosystem.

Greetings!

I work at a small nonprofit in Berkeley, CA. We have happily used Coinbase to collect donations for a couple of years now. Suddenly, Coinbase closed our account, seemingly because we are a business and not an individual. I'm not 100% clear on why, but it seems to do with new legal regulations. Anyway, the point is that we need to choose a new Bitcoin wallet, and I need advice on which one to go with.

What I liked about Coinbase: 1) Their system let me easily generate a button so that I could add a Bitcoin payments button to our donations page, 2) Coinbase would convert anything in our account into dollars and do an automatic bank transfer at midnight every day, 3) there were handy reports so that I could keep track of transactions.

Our needs are simple, as you can see. If anybody has tips about a Bitcoin wallet that works like Coinbase, or is better buts still pretty easy to use, I would love to hear from you. The most important features are the ones I posted above.

Thanks!!!!!

i dont really understand why coinbase close your account, have you ask to them why your account closed?
i suggest you to use multibit, its seem like coinbase i think.

I would recommend to be very careful with Multibit, been hearing a lot of bad stuff about it lately.

20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin 'real money' to you? on: February 11, 2016, 11:19:27 AM
When i first time i thought bitcoin is  just internet token
yes, me too, I first saw bitcoin, I thought it was just a token that is very difficult to get it for free and have to buy an expensive price, but I was wrong about that, and now I consider it a real money

Actually this description fits quite well to bitcoin, for the people who haven't heard about it earlier Wink Tokens are some form of payment mean, just with limited acceptation range.

I don't any difference between tokens and money. If you can use something as a measure of value to buy stuff (or sell it), then it's equivalent to money.

One could say a token is money itself, cause it's an object or concept people agree upon as containing an intrinsic value. That is the exact same case for cash.
