161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] LTC pump on: June 25, 2013, 06:56:09 PM
These pumps never work when there announced like this. They only work if a small group with lots of money do it in secret randomly.
162  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-06-23 Coinsetter aims to launch its Bitcoin trading platform in July on: June 23, 2013, 11:32:27 PM
They picked a good time to launch.

Xbox has removed all its DRM. Your move Sony.

I guess they'll have to rename it to the XBox 180.
I guess xbox finally realized how much money they would've lost keeping the DRM in place. Even with this news i'll still most likely get a PS4 instead.

I'm curious why? Not trying to knock you just want the honest truth. IMO now the only thing that the PS4 still has over Xbox is it's $100 cheaper. Other than that what else is better?
Well overall I'm just tired of Microsoft and this DRM issue was the last straw. I've never owned a Playstation before (always had an Xbox) so I think now's a good time to try one.
164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BBQcoin Windows Client Update on: June 19, 2013, 10:01:51 PM
I am working on a side project (25% complete) that is connected to BBQcoin and should help to give it more of a purpose and also increase interest.

Client development will continue in the near future, right now I feel the bbqcoin.org client works fine and does not need updating, we only released one a month ago.

So now I am going to develop internet based projects for BBQcoin.

Bitcoin has not even been taken as a real world payment processor, as in, non internet based, properly yet, so how can we expect BBQcoin too.

BBQcoin needs to be proven as an internet based currency first, then it can move on to the next phase. A currency to be bought to spend and not just to trade for other coins.

I have no problems with BBQcoin.com and I know at times I have spoken out of turn and I officially apologise for this, we are all here to see Cryptocoins succeed so I agree that we should all be on the same team.

Thanks CaptChadd. You are very influential in the future of BBQCoin and I appreciate your hard work. Once your project is complete I promote and link to it from the foundation site.
Finally some teamwork. Grin

If you don't mind using Ubuntu check out Kdenlive and Openshot. Both are way better than windows movie maker.
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FTC please explain on: June 16, 2013, 04:58:19 PM
In my opinion, that's pure manipulation.

Some guys with deep BTC pocckets at BTC-e decided to buy low at 0.0005 and pumped the price to 0.00115, that is about 230% profit.

Compare that to the hypothetical case: If LTC went from U$D 2 to U$D 3, that would only be an 150% profit.

More traders at Wall street are coming to trade in the cryptocurrencies markets. They have the knowledge/experience of trading and right now, they have little competition here (mostly miners with lesser trading skill/experience). It's like heaven from them, they could pull all sort of tricks that they wouldn't do in Wall street because Wall street is regulated and could face Jail.

That's just my opinion. What do you think?

That's what I think too, pure manipulation. It seems like a clever pumping scheme with the news articles praising feathercoin like it's the best alt-coin out there and the price rise that happened around the same time.

I like pc gaming too but local multiplayer is important to me and that's pretty much nonexistent in pc gaming.

Uhh...what?

In my mind I believe you're referring to something along the lines of "split screening" for multiplayer / coop ...otherwise, LAN party anyone?

People still have LAN parties? :p.

And I think he means like... on a console (split screen, as you said) you can have 4 people playing one copy of a game. On PC you need 4 copies.
Yup that's it. No way i'm buying 4 copies of a game just to play with family members. Also most don't allow more than 1 controller at a time so you need a bunch of keyboards it's just a hassle.
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [WTT/WTS] 1000 BBQCoin on: June 13, 2013, 06:14:28 PM
I'll give you 1.5LTC.

I think i'll think pass on this xbox.
I said this for most of this generation of consoles. I enjoy PC gaming much much more.

Flashy corporate like gimmicks and vague buzzwords are not what crypto-currencies are about quite frankly. A little more transparency with identity and a more robust outline of what you are trying to achieve would make you look less like some kind of ex Enron middle management type.

Has anyone looked into if this "new client" might create a fork situation yet? Probably not the case but my gut instinct feels like there is some kind of misleading motive behind this or even possibly a scam. I will let someone more informed in those kind of things be the judge of that anyway.

Either way, like others have pointed out, this little "debate" is damaging the reputation and integrity of the coin.
Yea that's what i'm wondering about. The client we have now is fine what BBQcoin needs is a mobile payment app. The guys at BBQcoin.com should put all their effort into that for now.
172  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Buzz Feeds (Android App) on: June 09, 2013, 08:50:30 PM
There is still tweet feeds? I have disabled it for the recent update. Can you check it out and get back to me on that? It seems disabled for me. When is the last time you had updated it? and when did you install it (estimated day)?

Is there a way to turn off the tweet feeds?

Yea it's listed at the left side in the app as twitter bitcoin feeds. The app says it's version 1.8 and up to date.

I think i'll pass on this xbox.
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FTC CNC on: June 08, 2013, 05:14:27 PM
I knew something was up after seeing a few articles this week pumping/praising feathercoin. I still don't understand how this coin has such a big following. The logo is nice but everything else is just litecoin with way more inflation.

I'll try your service when you accept bitcoins.

there is still time for the US people to stop this nonsense and petition to their politicians, create organisations who will remind US government and its departments that they are going wrong way. You cant just sit and watch wtf they are doing. Take Turkey as example.
Americans are super lazy though. It'll take being rounded up and sent to a camp to wake them up.

178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][BQC] BBQCoin Foundation - a collaborative e-democracy on: June 04, 2013, 06:23:43 PM
The lead developers/supporters for BQC (Chad and Figroll) are really doing a goob job at the moment and are even putting a lot of private time and money in it.

We are now already on 3 exchanges (Cryptsy, Vircurex and BTER) and value seems to be going up (slowly).

We do not need a foundation.

Yea just look at the bitcoin foundation, lots of people are not happy with it.
179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BBQcoin.org Official Thread on: June 01, 2013, 07:54:22 PM
I like the potential this coin has in restaurants and food related websites. It just needs more investors to cancel out the dumps from miners every few days and website/payment apps. By the way the BBQcoin.com website looks good.
180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good bye LTC? on: June 01, 2013, 06:24:40 PM
I decided to sell all my litecoins a week ago because I thought the price would continue to sink a bit lower and it has. I mostly bought them for the Gox rumor but with all the problems there facing now it's looking like they won't add it for a few more months.  And when they do who knows how many users will still be trading on there site.
