Thanks for the app, I was looking for something like this.
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [announce] Namecoin - a distributed naming system based on Bitcoin on: May 30, 2013, 10:57:03 PM
Shouldn't this thread be in the alt-coin forum? Just wondering.
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] eMulah (EMU) - NOT a BitCoin fork/clone - call for beta testers on: May 30, 2013, 10:44:52 PM
I'd like to be a tester.
184  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: May 29, 2013, 06:50:32 PM
This is probably one of the best investments mankind has seen in a very very long time. This baby is paying a sweet amount of dividend out as well as rising in value like a monster. God I love myself for buying at the right time  Grin
I feel the same way. Looking back I wish I had put more bitcoins in.
185  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin now crushing the Alt-Coins? on: May 24, 2013, 11:32:55 PM
Since the Bitcoin fx rate has stabilized after the huge run up this year two interesting situations have arisen.

There have been many new Alt-coins released: ChinaCoin, WorldCoin, YetAnotherCoin etc etc.
A new coin is always accompanied by a flurry of interest (especially from newbies who are looking to get in at the ground floor on a new Bitcoin-clone) but soon after interest wanes. The number of new coins is now frustrating even the alt-coin enthusiasts. It is painfully apparent that unless coins are going to be widely accepted by merchant websites, then they are doomed.

Already their value after initial listing are all in steady decline:

Even LTC has gone off the boil.

Chinacoin is almost dead in the water considering its blocks should be 60 seconds apart:
http://cnc.cryptocoinexplorer.com/chain/CHNCoin?count=20
Clearly the Chinese are not dumb enough to be fooled by just a name and an 88 coin block reward.

Is the market deciding that one cryptocurrency is enough and the identity of that one was apparent all the time?

I think it's more that these coins were clones of litecoin created only to acquire more bitcoins and people finally figured that out. People are not falling for these pump and dumps anymore.

Would be nice to be able to trade alt to alt instead of everything being for BTC only.

I second to that.
Too many alt-coins for that. Most are less than a month old and could die any day.
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WorldCoin on Bter.com ! on: May 20, 2013, 06:46:55 PM
Anyone who understands how bitcoin works can tell you that worldcoin is an awful, unsustainable coin. Anyone who buys at this price is literally pissing their money away.
Yea I think most are buying in to profit on the pump. It'll crash hard very soon
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: (WTS) 50 Super coins on: May 20, 2013, 06:39:44 PM
lol well I guess I'll give these away. Post your super coin addresses and i'll send you some coins.
189  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: May 20, 2013, 06:36:42 PM
First solo block:

From now on the solo result of ASICMINER will have "Mined By ASICMiner" within the CoinBase.
Good decision to solo mine.
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: (WTS) 50 Super coins on: May 20, 2013, 02:56:46 PM
bump.
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / (Free) 50 Super coins on: May 19, 2013, 10:42:53 PM
I'll take BBQcoins, Nibbles, Mincoins, litecoins, ppc, devcoins, or bitcoins. Just offer how much you think there worth.
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: "Proof of Human" Coin ? on: May 19, 2013, 06:38:00 AM
Instead of annoying captchas couldn't you instead design the coin so that everyone mines at the same speed regardless of hardware? Instamining wouldn't be a problem and there would be no huge dumps from mining farms when the coins hits an exchange, leading to a stable exchange rate. You could have random special blocks worth 2-3 times the normal block reward to keep people mining. I think a coin designed this way would function well as a currency. If I had any coding skills I'd try making a coin around this idea as an experiment.
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] The Nibble - Real Currency - 5/18/2013 11PM UTC on: May 18, 2013, 11:38:53 PM
lol i think we're slowly establishing the protocol to launch a new coin out of chaos...

YAC launch was the best.
It's too bad they chose such a dumb name for that coin.
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] The Nibble - Real Currency - 5/18/2013 11PM UTC on: May 18, 2013, 10:08:31 PM
Sounds interesting but change your logo, it looks too preschool like.
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Hulkhost.net Soon up and will be accepting Mincoin! on: May 16, 2013, 07:29:52 PM
That's amazing ... Mincoin has real-world use value - how many alt coins can say that?
The future is looking good for Mincoin.
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Royal Coin Giveaway on: May 13, 2013, 06:40:03 PM
You guys gotta add an address lol. I'll split with you two since you posted at the same time.
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Petition: JKC/BTC on BTC-E.com on: May 13, 2013, 06:38:27 PM
So eager to dump these people are lol. (Yoda)
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Royal Coin Giveaway on: May 13, 2013, 06:37:13 PM
Tried to mine this useless coin for an hour the day it launched and was only able to get 1.35 RYC. First non scammer to post get's the coins.
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Realsolid and MNC a scam? Serious? on: May 12, 2013, 01:39:32 AM
If you honestly and truly in your hearts believe that Mincoin and Realsolid are a scam"club". You are severely delusional. People that believe this are either jealous or mad because they never got in on the bonus at the beginning. I have been part of MNC after the bonuses. And i am now 4x my profit. And I suppose becuase I say that i'm a "conspirator" aswell?

Most of the hate towards Realsolid comes from his attitude during the launch of SC 1.0 and 2.0, He came across as being really arrogant to a lot of people. He didn't actually scam anyone to my knowledge.
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: YAC will be on BTC-E confirmed. on: May 12, 2013, 01:29:58 AM
How big was the bribe???

Does it matter?

Yes, because that would mean they were given an incentive to add it Wink
They'll probably add it around 2 a.m. so they can dump at the highest prices possible.

There aren't going to be high prices. Why would someone pay higher to get it from BTC-e, when they can get it on Bter for 0.00085? The pump and dump already happened
New Coins always start pretty high on BTC-E plus there's way more people/money on BTC-e and don't forget that awful trollbox pumping coins to noobs.
