It will be more like the existing inter-bank wire-transfer system at that point... Maybe use litecoin, that's one of the reasons it was created. |

Hopefully it wasn't rude however, being 5 mins prior to close of auction. Yeah Most people won't accept extremely premined altcoin. It's not premined, realsolid is only transferring the coins you already own over into the new system. This will be done through the mcxnow.com exchange. It seems fair to me, it rewards the people who were patient with the project and didn't dump there coins. (Personally I have very few left.) |

Stop making new coins!!! Just contribute to Feathercoin or Litecoin, or one of the other dozen viable ones!!! You guys are being ridiculous. We don't need 100 coins.
We need 100 altcoins or even 1000 so that it become obvious which ones have a value. I vote for 1 new altcoin per day, for at least few months. It's easy money so why would they stop? lol it's like a digital money printing machine. |

I've read a lot of different posts about the popularity of Feathercoin and I'm wondering where it has come from.
What is causes value for these coins to go up so rapidly? For Litecoin it offers another alternative to Bitcoin because is hashing algorithm is different, to name just one benefit.
Does anybody feel this block chain is a bad idea? A get rich quick scheme? It seems like the market is just fascinated by *coins at the moment so a lot of miners are dumping their CPU's and GPU's into Feathercoin in an attempt to cash in on it's initial introduction to various exchanges.
I'd like to hear your thoughts on why you support or do not support FC, and if you own any or plan on owning any in the near future.
It's most likely a pump and dump coin. I say that because so little was changed from where it originated from (litecoin). Long term I see it going nowhere for that reason. I think the next real alt-coin to gain lots of popularity like btc and ltc will either be one based on a different hashing method (non sha256/scypt) or with the mining completely removed. |

Is there any specific reason why people trade just LTC for FC?
Generally speaking, Litecoin is the main alternate currency at this point, and so it is the most commonly-traded coin into other alts. It looks to me the deal there is simple - since Gox announced for the 2nd or 3rd time LTC will be added in the future, and since BTC/LTC price is quite high already, bushstar and few others decided to quickly come up with new altcoin and actualy rip off any and all greedy noobs and investors off their LTC. I might be wrong there, but my intuition is telling me the oppossite is the true. Forget about the buying FC part, I'll stay away from it for now. Price for FC is actualy ridicule - with almost 5 millions coins already mined, buying at 20 LTC / 1000 FC or similar ratio is supporting big money flow into developer and few others' pockets. It is all staged quite well with just one aim in mind - get rich quick. I would be fine with putting big money there if they actualy put some decent effort into Feathercoin, but it is just a minor variation on Litecoin, nothing more. Yea i'm not understanding why people are so eager to trade their LTC so cheaply with the mtgox news for an unknown coin with no exchange. LTC could be at $10 in under 2 weeks and feathercoin still around $0.25. The people who got rid of their ltc will be kicking themselves hard. I think it's better to wait for an exchange to announce feathercoin, wait for the massive dump and then buy the cheaper coins and hold them for the future. |
