Now that we are getting close to seeing Zerocoin in action, we are thinking about translating the (new) website and wiki into a couple of different languages. Based on the political climate in China and Russia, I think that we should probably start with chinese and russian. Given that bitcoin is becoming increasingly important in South America, I think that we should probably concentrate on Spanish as well. How does this sound?

So, first, are there any native chinese, russian, or spanish speakers in this forum that would be willing to help out?

Second, we would either like to pay a community member to do this, or put out an ANC-per-word bounty. However, given the amount of ANC in the donation address, this wouldn't be too attractive, at least at the current ANC price.... If you want to help jump start this initiative, think about donating ANC to the project.

Lastly, I would just like to remind everyone that we still have about 700 ANC in bounties open. Details can be found here on the Anoncoin wiki.

As I promised two weeks ago, here is an estimate for completion of Zerocoin-in-Anoncoin that I feel has a very high chance of being met (a "hard deadline").

By October 15, I'll have Zerocoin integration in "alpha" state, and on a testnet for anybody to try.

By November 1, I'll have Zerocoin in mainnet, which means you can use the ANC you have now to mint and spend zerocoins. It will still be in "beta", meaning you should pay attention to our website, IRC, and our bitcointalk.org thread for security updates to the wallet and anoncoind; this is especially important if you are a miner or running a relay node.

I realized that I have made deadlines in the past that were not met. I put a lot of thought into the above deadlines and I know that they can be met. Just as a reminder, I'm working full-time on Zerocoin until at least October 1, and possibly after depending on funding.

Furthermore, they obviously no longer have a stake in libzerocoin, as they started from scratch to design a new system that they believe is better. I disagree with that belief since there is apparently no way to generate the parameters in a trustless manner, so I am building on their original system.

Also, it is not a trivial matter to add RSA UFO support (which I have completed a couple days ago), and integrate it into a working crypto-currency (which I am now working on). This is why no other coins have added Zerocoin, AFAIK.

This guy was apparently some well respected brilliant coder etc so I took that for granted since I don't have the capability to understand the whitepaper myself.

With the latest price movement I visited this tread again and then I saw this guy's question what I was wondering myself. Still not understand if there is a solution, but maybe that because of my lack of knowledge regarding the topic. RSA and UFO says me nothing.. could you explain? Just trying to understand it better to see if I should invest more

Zerocash improves on an earlier protocol, Zerocoin, developed by some of the same authors, both in functionality (Zerocoin only hides a payment's origin, but not its destination or amount) and in efficiency (Zerocash transactions are less than 1KB and take less than 6ms to verify).
