what we really need is a wallet update anybody want to do that?
Sidhujag has remained in the Source Administrator position until such time as a replacement can be found. Anyone interested please let me know. Hey Nova! I'm maintaining the Source code for the last 3 years. Look: https://github.com/coinzen/devcoin/commits Didn't know there was a position for it. Anyways I'm on charge of the source code by default.

I plan to remove any devtome.com domain and sub-domains from the source code! All voices in favor or against please provide feedback here: https://github.com/coinzen/devcoin/issues/35Does anyone know who is the administrator for devtome.com ?
I'm in favor of that. Also please remove links to: http://devcoinblockexplorer.info/because Shattienator, who made http://devcoinblockexplorer.info/ a long time ago, is no longer uploading receiver files. Also, it looks like the domain is abandoned. This will bring the peers down to 3 to start, which is good because it should be an odd number. Done!

Found more info on listing a coin on cryptopia. https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Forum/Thread/1484basically you need to pay 2,500,000 DOT to get it considered everyone complaining about the price... trading on cryptopia 2,500,000 DOT = 9.5btc If we can raise the funds then i'd be happy to put forward the application. But that is far too much imo for listing. It is subject to developer review, but if rejected the DOT will be returned so could be resold and redistributed back to people. Thoughts? I think exchanges are overstretched atm and new listings is not high on their agenda. Fuzzybear cryptopia add fee is prohibitive they were adding for free year or so back best one I found at cheapest price is 1.5 btc https://tradesatoshi.com/addcoinhave to register free account to view because we are one of oldest coins in existence, ethical and tried and tested dev, PLUS the sole exchnage for devcoin and they will get some decent trading fees we may be able to negotiate with them for say 1btc? or maybe a donation of devcoin from dev fund? as all of us sending small amounts of btc is not cost effective plus if we have any! it is as a buy now on page but someone ideally dev can email them? and now btc is so low may be the best time before it goes back up, we need A exchange one last option and tbh is good to have anyway in addition is a decntralised exchnage, quite a few of them. i know barterdex/komodo add free but I think CLTV time verify etc needs to be coded in meaning a soft/hard fork for some coins, not sure if we have anyway dev? Good point! We could invest that much money on good servers to implement a Devcoin on a DEX!

I hear that Streemian is closing completely. That's probably going to put a damper in this Steemit project.
Streemian is just one tool of the many available. Look: http://steemtools.com/If you want similar functionality try steemvoter. I tried to send you a pm but my status is still too new. You mentioned sending a message after 24hrs if no upvote on the #devcoin steemit posts. Thanks. Sent you a PM already

It serves a different function than Streemian. What are you using for your trail project now? I'm using a custom application that helps me save time, but I'm still reading each post prior to upvote and resteem with @devcoin. Other than curation, the most time consuming part is to gather the list of members, since such data is not indexed in the blockchain, it requires to monitor all transactions.

First two merged minning DVC+STEEM/SBD payouts! Watch out! Here is the list of posts that got DVC rewards for their STEEM/SBD counterpart: https://steemit.com/@devcoin/commentsI look forward to see more people joining!

How is Streemian working out for you? I've created and followed various Streemian trails and it's often been unreliable, so I am wondering about your experience so far.
Streemian is not reliable indeed, AFAIK the owner is busy with other stuff and has little time to maintain streemian. I'm not using streemian but a custom app for this integration of DVC+STEEM/SBD

ok, I think I completed all of the steps properly. Here is the first post I completed using #devcoin. Should we use #devcoin on future articles as well or is this just for a beta test run?
On every posting of the devcoin account would be my suggestion. Also, you may like a branding idea of mine on steemit. It should work with our DVC Logo(s), as well. Just placing the image link at the bottom of the page with no other images in the post and it will create the thumbnail. https://steemit.com/@novacadianThought the red would burn in pathways. - Nova Hey Nova! I see you posted with the #devcoin tag, remember to complete the other steps in order to activate merged mining STEEM+DVC. My bad. Digging deeper your idea is a very interesting one. It may be worth compiling the DVC Wallet if you have a set fee per upvote. Most all my steem has been going into getting Powered Up. My understanding is that joining your merged mining that would be at the detriment of my account's powering up? - Nova [Edit: Better grammer] When you Power Up you convert STEEM into VESTS, which then increase your STEEM Power (SP). Apart from that you have the Voting Power (VP), which decreases by 2% when you upvote. Your VP automatically recovers by 20% daily. This, along bandwidth, are measures to control SPAM and abuse of the blockchain. When you join the trail, you are allowing @devcoin to use your SP and to consume your VP and bandwidth. Yet, as said before, your account is ignored while your VP is below 80%.

A question, Develcuy I have upvoted Papa's article, but I thought the system will make you vote automatically any article you submit by #devcoin, it doesn't work that way? I think I haven't grasp very well the mechanics. Blind automatic upvotes are discouraged in STEEM for a good reason: proof-of-brain. Posts should be curated, it means, a human brain should review such post and upvote only if it worths any value for such brain. Since I'm running @devcoin, I should check posts prior to upvote. Yet, I'm building a "trail", it means that subscribers to @devcoin automatically follow my vote. That is not a blind vote since I'm already reviewing posts tagged with #devcoin. This is similar to a mining pool.

You got the upvote! Nice post btw @devcoin witness will upvote all legit posts with the tag #devcoin. Note that STEEM is proof-of-brain Check the bluepaper: https://steem.io/steem-bluepaper.pdf

That is the good news I want to tell everyone but it is delayed till the new version of STEEM blockchain. Stay tunned What can we expect from Devcoin and STEEM? First of all happy 2018!! All devtome users can benefit from it! STEEM is a social publishing platform with its own blockchain, it has two tokens: STEEM and SBD, you get paid 50% STEEM and 50% SBD for your articles after 7 days. The amount you earn is a product of the votes (actually "upvotes") your post managed to attract from other users. Such weight is calculated from the amount of VESTS or "STEEM POWER" each voting users holds, your current Voting Power and the relative market price of SBD/USD pair. Currently 1 SBD worths ~6.5 USD In short, you make money with "likes" Are you interested on becoming a beta user of my new @devcoin project on STEEM and make easy coins? Do this: - Register a new account in steemit.com - Authorize @devcoin to vote with your account https://v2.steemconnect.com/authorize/@devcoin (this will help to fund @devcoin) - Vote for devcoin witness https://v2.steemconnect.com/sign/account-witness-vote?witness=devcoin&approve=1 (this will help to fund @devcoin as well) - Publish an article in steemit.com with the tag #devcoin (you can also use busy.org to post articles) - Place your Devcoin Address at the bottom of your post, using this format: @devcoin/MYDEVCOINADDRRESS (example: @devcoin/1DogCa5wiVZJWFnFDezuw5XssoWWabijnE ) - Your post will be voted with a value of ~0.10 SBD (~0.65 USD), this is your reward for being a beta tester! - Wait up to 24 hours, if your post is not upvoted please send me a private message - After 7 days, you'll receive 1 Devcoin for every SBD your post got paid - Voila! You just merged mined Devcoin and STEEM by writing content! If this experiment goes well I'll add more features and more funds to raise the rewards! This is looking interesting. I see that it's a different setup than delegating SP to @devcoin. Can you please also post the way to unauthorize @devcoin to vote using one's account? That way, people who want to try it out for a short time will be more comfortable knowing how they can turn it off. I don't post much on Steemit these days, but if I get back to doing that more, I may give this a whirl. How is progress going on getting Devcoin listed on an exchange? Sure thing! You can revoke voting rights to @devcoin with this: https://v2.steemconnect.com/revoke/@devcoinIf we already have a steemit account, do we need to create an additional account or go through the above process with our current account? No, you can use your existing account

It is to create collective value so that the vote from @devcoin triggers the vote from all registered users of this service. So, this is to automatically vote any article that appears with the #devcoin? How this will impact my daily steem voting power? If your Voting Power (VP) is under 80% then @devcoin will no use your vote. That is how we make sure to no deplete your VP.

I have a question on the following requirement: Authorize @devcoin to vote with your account
What is the reason for this requirement? I do not feel comfortable with giving away my voting rights. It is to create collective value so that the vote from @devcoin triggers the vote from all registered users of this service. Also note that you are not giving away your voting rights, you can still vote with your account. If you want to review what @devcoin is voting for: https://steemd.com/@devcoin and your account as well.
