1241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN][QBT- QubitCoin] Qubit - new secure hashing (cpu only) Start 12.01.2014 on: January 12, 2014, 10:49:38 AM
Blocks 1-10,000 - 0.0001 MRC (To set difficulty and test network)
Blocks 10,000-160,000 - Block reward is the same as block number. (For fair launch)
Example: Block number 10,000 = 10,000MRC, Block number 160,000 = 160,000MRC
Blocks 160,000 - 310,000 - Block reward descending by one for each block. (For deflation)
Example: Block number 160,000 = 160,000MRC, Block number 160,001 = 159,999MRC and so on.
310,000+ - Block reward is a solid 10,000

please do like that to prevent a diff rape if you really want a smooth launch

How are you going to fill the bounties? there a hidden premine in all this?

low ping low diff raping the coin by his own rigs maybe Grin

Is the countdown on the official site correct?

Fair start diff would be like 0.1

It may not be too late to sneak this adjustment in. I see it as beneficial too. We could drop the initial block rewards too for a good number of blocks to allow the difficulty to rise naturally. I will consult with DrRazi, who is not online at the moment, thus I do not want to mislead anyone on the current exact starting difficulty number. Check back in a few hours.

can you set the bonus of first 1000  blocks to 1USDE to prevent a diff rape? Ima tired of all orphaned blocks in the starting
1245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] [USDE] - LAUNCHES <24hrs - U.S. Cryptographic Reserve eCoin **LQQK! on: January 12, 2014, 01:18:55 AM
Looks nice and impressive with all the US reserve and army veteran things, maybe in the end it is really worth it.
But with this ridiculous rate at which new coins come up every day, i'm really getting bored of this scrypt-coins shit entirely.
Maybe it is high time i switch to some social welfare works, like going to Antarctica and get lost.

Anyway as far as u guys, GOOD LUCK. See you after 2 years (or a decade)

Thank you for your comment and interest.  We wholeheartedly second the sentiment. There are lots of scrypt-based clones and the market is more and more saturated with them. Most recent ones have been pretty consistently failing, however. Luckily, USDE does not belong in the pump 'n 'dump category. It promises to become the first, well-accepted Cryptographic Reserve currency to give corrupt fiat a black eye  Grin.

1246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] [USDE] - LAUNCHING TOMORROW - U.S. Cryptographic Reserve eCoin **LQQK! on: January 11, 2014, 04:58:59 PM
Premine
1.5% of USDE - Let the CRITICISM begin! Round 1, fight!  Roll Eyes -- The Governors are quite generous -- 1% of the funds will be used for service development, community activism, bounties, promotions and prizes!  The remaining 0.5% will be used for founding, nodes and long-term support.  Further, we will NOT, we repeat NOT mine eCoins in the first week of its launch.  There are many fiat refugees who need to be clothed, fed and sheltered!

lmao Grin well, actually,i think 0.1%-0.3% is fair for dev's profit while its a reasonable percentage for the time and energy wasted for making a coin. 1.5% is kinda to much but we will see the bounties and promotions in the future so not bad and i will throw some hashes on it.

OP coin devs, let's see your promo machine in action now and not when the coin launches.

No promo can kill even a well-launched coin.

1256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] microCoin MCR - Scrypt-Jane - nFactor - launching Jan 4th 2014! on: January 10, 2014, 10:41:02 AM
How much premine?
Forgot to include that. There is completely zero premine. Edited the OP and now it should say that under max moneysupply.

actually, i suggest that the dev should have premined for about 0.1%-0.3%......thats more like maintaining fee and the basic bonus for a really "fair" launch.

the dev expected a return on investment of time and energy at the first place including premining poolsetting etc and thats reasonable dude
I don't feel that there's a need for a premine, since we will also be mining and investing in the currency just as anyone else and making profit that way.

Technically, i love the voting system of MMC2.0 though 1% is kinda too much , 0.2%should be a good standard. i wish this coin would come with voting in the next version maybe  Grin https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=372982.msg3989255#msg3989255

1260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] microCoin MRC - Scrypt-Jane - nFactor - Relaunch January 10th 17:00 (GMT) on: January 09, 2014, 05:49:55 PM
Relaunch moved back to January 10th 17:00 (GMT) due to all the Coinye West hype.

So what your saying is your not going to give the little guys a chance to mine your coin while all the big rigs are pointing their hashes at coinye... Pushing back your launch is a bad idea your just going to let all the guys that are raping coinye come and rape Microcoin before the smaller rigs can get some...dumb idea... infact you should release like XTB and not specify a specific time of launch just a date tht way only the ppl that really want this coin will keep checking on your thread.
Well, that's not exactly how I was thinking. The reason why the date was changed to January 9th in the first place was because Coinye West was announced to be released on the 10th and it would have surely got more attention, so we decided to release before them. But now since Coinye West has been released already, it won't matter much if we release on the 9th or 10th. The reason why we prefer the 10th is that it would be a more suitable day for us, personally. Whether we get the attention of big miners or small miners doesn't matter. Just that we do get attention. And even that wouldn't matter as much, since I'm sure we will get more attention as time goes by staying active, but it does help to have a successful start. I doubt big miners can do much to microCoin now that the difficulty will have 10k blocks of time to adjust and there's a pool. And the block rewards until 160,000 are ascending so no one could even get an unfair amount of them at start. And I think it is only fair that people know the exact time of the release so it won't be up to luck who happens to be in a good position during the launch.
We appreciate the input, but this is how we are going to do it now. Do tell me if you think you've found other flaws in our plans for launch or other. Feedback is always helpful.

the coin looks promising now for dev's reply
