Hi.

What is the UUID and where do I find it? Never heard of it. ..

This is asked in the aplication form for the sig campaign.

Thank You

EDIT: Found the answer.

What is the UUID asked for in the signature bounty sign up?

I'm sure I will consider myself stupid when told what it is, but I can't figure it out. I know it stands for Universally Unique Identifier, but what is that in this context?

Perhaps it could be explicitly stated what it is in the sign up in case others get confused.

When you go to your profile page, then click forum profile information the URL of that page will end in a number, that number is your UUID. Your forum profile information URL is https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=823388 so your UUID is 823388

I will pass along the suggestion!

Is there a leaderboard for the october wager contest?
484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] OPAIR | Decentralized Debit Cards | OCaml | New Blockchain Platform on: October 05, 2016, 09:07:53 PM

Wasserman said he deleted the coins of the people who took a refund.

If Wasserman deleted coins what is now the total number of XPOs existing?

We dont destroy coins, we (before to start the distribution) delete the investments of the guys who ask for refund, so now everyone have more coins than when the ico ends.

Ok. How many invested BTC got refunded?

Like 12-14 BTC.

Maybe i dont see it or my calculations are wrong. can somebody check? The OP states all 74,000,000 XPO will be distributed to investors.

The ICO site states 243sat per XPO and total funds invested 182.44BTC (including bonus). right?

182.44BTC / 74,000,000 = XPO price 0.00000247 XPO. right?

Now Wasserman say 12-14BTC got refunded. (He should know the exact figure, right?)
Let's do the math:

1. (182,44BTC-12BTC=170,44BTC) --> 170.44BTC / 74,000,000 = XPO price 0.00000230 XPO.

2. (182,44BTC-14BTC=168,44BTC) --> 170.44BTC / 74,000,000 = XPO price 0.00000228 XPO.

If the numbers i used from officical source are correct we would have an ICO XPO price between 228-230sat. right?

I dont see the numbers were adjusted nor my stack!

@pokerowned

You once said there will be a wager competition on wealthy dice in october.

When does it start and what are the conditions?

Thank You

PS.: BTC wager or CJ wager or both?

Edit: And how/where can we apply to the sig camp?
488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] OPAIR | Decentralized Debit Cards | OCaml | New Blockchain Platform on: September 28, 2016, 06:33:25 PM
I am a phase 1 investor. I have not submitted my XPO address yet, cause i have a question.

Here is the thing:

I suppose some investors got a refund, not as much as SJ anticipated but i guess some got refunded.

Now! I want to know how many BTC got refunded and whats the final total BTC invested after substracting refunded BTC!?!

That should change my XPO balance right???  Means: More XPO for every investor who stayed and subsequently a lower XPO ICO price.

So, me and every other investor who stayed with this project should receive adjusted (higher) XPO balances, dont we?

@Wasserman Can you elaborate please ! !!

BTCD Valuation for the swap

In order to simplify the BTCD to KMD swap, a fixed exchange rate of 1.0 BTCD to 0.00532074 BTC was established, meaning that if you send one BTCD you will receive 0.00532074 BTC worth of Komodo. This exchange rate was determined by adding a 50% bonus to the daily closing price average of August.  The  swapping process will take place after the ICO and detailed information will be posted soon.

If you are a BTCD holder, keep an eye on the BTCD thread. Tomorrow we will post more information there, such as what does this mean for BTCD.

Is BTCD swapped for Komodo eligible for early bird bonuses too?

BTCD will be swapped at the end of the ICO, so it is not eligible for any further bonuses.
WTF. That's messed up.

BTCD holders will benefit from Komodo. The revenue share that was promised won't go over to Komodo holders, but instead BTCD holders will get an asset.

So as a BTCD holder you get both: Komodo coins and a new asset entitled to the revenue share.

The BTCD price has been trading below 0.00532074.

More details tomorrow on the BitcoinDark thread. You can also join our slack channel #btcd

Be happy dear BTCD holders!  Cool

Do I get it right? BTCD holders have 3 options:

1) invest in ICO for the equivilant value of of 1.0 BTCD to 0.00532074 BTC.
2) wait till after the ICO ends to swap to Komodo for an yet to be announced exchange rate.
3) just keep BTCD

What date is the wallet going to be released and we receive our coins?
The wallet will be released on the 5th

I highly doubt it...

Any news about the launch or possible exchanges to trade at the beginning?

Yes launch will be on the 5th.

Meanwhile we're sweating our assess off this week in order to release the HEAT Genesis block on Sept 5th

Also here:
how and when can we claim our HEAT btw?
The how has been explained many times earlier in this thread and will be explained in detail still later, sorry for the bluntness but I don't have time to look it up or go through again right now. When? September 5th approximately.

And here: http://heatledger.com/ico/

Its already on c-cex. why not beginn to trade there after launch?
493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN][VRM] Verium PoWT Reserve | Verium launched! on: September 01, 2016, 03:45:21 PM
guys how i can receive my verium from ico i download wallet and ...

import private key i guess.

get private VRC wallet where you send the VRC for ICO.

THEN  import that key in VRM wallet.

How does it work when sent from Bittrex to ICO?

It doesn't work that way as you have no way to export the private key from Bittrex. Also the ICO was clearly labeled DO NOT SEND FROM EXCHANGE

Then I made a mistake.

Despite what u r saying, is there a way or solution to get back my funds or to receive VRM?

Edit: Problem solved. I did two payments during ICO. One from exchange and one from wallet to my same ICO funding address.
Imported the privatkey from Vericoin Wallet to Verium Wallet and Verium for both my payments arrived in Wallet now. Gladly!
We learn from our mistakes ...  Wink

By the way, is that issue only because of none availability of addresses or something else is also there?

See the new proposal in the main thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1558596.msg16112631#msg16112631

In slack opair said:

"as we said before we want to know  where we are after continue with spending more funds or release the wallets...we are going to pay the signature bounty even if all the funds of the phase 2 were refunded, but now we need time (few days) until we make an agreement with the escrow about the others funds...the signature campaign just ended yesterday, not a month ago...give us a few days until we fix this issue"
So payment will not be ruled out today? Applicants should wait a more days before the payment will be sent.

dont expect payment today or tomorrow. ..

I don't see where is the problem. Simple

You received 60 BTC which is a lot in stage 1. That should get you a head-start and to get trust from investors :

1. Pay the bounties from stage 1 you will be left with more than 50 BTC
2. Release the wallet and distribute the coins if you think you got much less than you wanted well that's a risk every developer has to accommodate sometimes less is more in crypto ( a lot of now sucessful projects even started as a joke and are now in top 50 coins without any starting funds) apart from that I'm OK if you take that 9% that was reserved for PoW as development fund and that should give you motivation for your project to be properly developed.

Now for the escrow :

1. You get 20% of escrow when you distribute coins and post working basic wallet along with source (that's additional 15-18 BTC I don't know how much was raised in stage 2 )
2. You get 20% when you list it on Bittrex and not some shitty exchange (3 BTC listing fee will get you additional 15 BTC for development)

You are still left with more than 80 BTC (stage1+stage2) you can start developing the wallet you promised.

3. You get 20% when you release wallet you promised (beta one)
4. You get 40% when it's functional (I'm not saying smart contracts, debit cards, ... ) but that it is stable

I agree with this! If the escrow also agree we can close the agreement.

Regards

Sounds good  Smiley

Good health to Opair!

Sounds also good to me at this point.
499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN - Pre-ICO] BlockPay - Zero Cost, digital currency Point-Of-Sale systems on: August 26, 2016, 11:14:32 PM

I was reading a lot of good points from you here. Yes, we are quite different to most other crowdfunding because we are raising capital for an existing, working product that we are promoting at local Bitcoin meetups, Bitcoin bars, restaurants and so on first. BlockPay is a piece of software for all of us. I really canīt wait to drop my plastic and use my phone for payments instead. So much easier and faster.

Here is a nice interview that I gave to Jamie Redman https://news.bitcoin.com/blockpay-businesses-zero-cost/

In comparison to the past big ICOīs Wave and LISK, that are asking to fund an idea, we are asking to fund the continued improvement and instant roll out of BlockPay so that you can use it at a place near you by the end of September 2016. Once we proved our product, we proved our business skills, we proved that we can streamline cryptocurrency adoption in the common markets, then we are ready to ask for the growth booster.

If the market is not ready for our products and cryptocurrencies, even 20 million in funding will not help us. 21, Coinbase, BitPay, and several other companies raised multi-millions but are doing little for mass adoption. They focus on a specific need within the Blockchain community. We are focusing on building easy tools that are based on Blockchain Technology and can be used by Crypto and regular people.

Andreas Antonopoulos already summarized it brilliantly. Bitcoin has been designed by geeks in the past, it is the time that crypto gets the fashion treatment. Next generation UI /UX design and marketing will hide all "scary" hashcodes, brainkey, mining, decentralization, terminologies and focus on easy to understand interfaces instead. The Circle wallet and the GetGem Chat are great steps forward in terms of design and user interface for Blockchain wallets.

Thank You Chris for your thourough answer. I like your view on the market, your approach and business mind. BlockPay has the potential of being a socalled "Killer App" imo ...
We'll see but Im in Smiley
500  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN - Pre-ICO] BlockPay - Zero Cost, digital currency Point-Of-Sale systems on: August 26, 2016, 09:19:38 AM

Phase1:   600,000 tokens       @ 1:1.20 OPENPOS tokens/each   Special Buyback
Phase2:   1,400,000 tokens     @ 0.000288 BTC =  403.2  BTC
Phase3:   3,000,000 tokens     @ 0.000360 BTC = 1,080    BTC
Phase4:   95,000,000 tokens (in 2017)   @ 0.000500 BTC = 47500 BTC

Total of 48,983 BTC (not including Phase 1) = $28,116,242

So, yes they are asking for well over the $20 Million dollars, my concerns are justified, rational and realistic. It is silly to tell me to buy T-notes ...

This is exactly why I told OP that posting/projecting such specifics about a Phase 4 is absurd. It results in this pointless, and circuitous logic that because Phase 4 is impossibly large we have no business conducting a Phase 2 & 3. Phase 4 doesn't exist ... it is like you are protesting Santa Clause' skid marks. Quite pointless.

Here is the inside scoop guys. Blockpay++ will never get to a Phase 4. If things go well enough they will be acquired by a POS software vendor which can almost instantaneously deploy the software across millions of terminals and simultaneously coordinate an education campaign directed at its merchants. The acquirer will have no choice, and will gladly buyout token holders at a very handsome multiple of our original cost.

If it is an "inside scoop" then please provide documentation, otherwise let's stick to what we know. At the very least they have already stated their intention not to sell out. Words only I know, but it is their public statement. I do not want to undermine this project by letting rumor get the best of us, I do want answers to questions that seem to be ignored.

Devs have already stated that the 2017 projections and prices are preliminary. Near time development is what is interesting. Expansion capital will happen if they succeed in shorter term.

YES! Please! Dont get lost in assumptions and speculation!
The CEO Chris Hering Chris4210x has already taken community feedback about this into his thoughts and consideration! See statement from AltcoinScamfinder above and here:

Limited Amount! Great discounts available in this pre-ICO, all based on Opening rate of 2017 ICO

Phase1:600,000 tokens@ 1:1.20 OPENPOS tokens/eachSpecial Buyback
Phase2:1,400,000 tokens@ 0.000288 BTC tokens/each42.40% Discount
Phase3:3,000,000 tokens@ 0.000360 BTC tokens/each28% Discount
Phase4:2nd ICO@ 0.000500 BTC tokens/eachInitial Price

What if the price of Blockpay Tokens on the market exceeds your set ICO price of Phase 4??

Lets say I buy Blockpay tokens in Phase 1 today @ 0.000288 BTC tokens/each. Price rises to 0.001 on exchanges till 2017.
Assuming this, will the price of 2nd ICO still be @ 0.0005 BTC tokens/each?

Good question. I can not give you a qualified answer today yet. Let me come back to you.

Thats's alright! Thank you

I know a little about economics, business, marketing & communication. In my perception they doing a very good job in rolling out this business. Very communicative, transparent and public. And most importantly nowadays - they listen to the community!

Here is a pro tip for the traders: "If you can figure out which cryptos will have real world use, buy and hold those."

The facts:

"... there is a total of 100 million BlockPay tokens ever created. In the Pre-ICO only 6.5 million will be used in Phase 1 – 3, the rest will be locked into a reserve fund via multisig and used for a follow-up ICO." Source: https://blockpay.ch/newsroom/investor-relations/

After the Pre-ICO there will be on the market:

6,500,000 BlockPay tokens        --> 93,500,000 BlockPay tokens locked away

Since only 4,400,000 tokens are actually on sale through Phase 2 & Phase 3 BlockPay can raise in this Pre-ICO a total value of 1,483.20 BTC. Thats $860,256. (Calculating with $580.00/BTC)

Right now I am very happy with the idea of BlockPay, Echo & Stealth and watching excited from the sidelines what Chris & Rodrigo will bring up in the future.

Keep it up. Thank You.
