81  Economy / Economics / Re: Possible market crash in the near future? on: November 15, 2021, 03:24:09 PM
There are (as of  now) 14029 cryptocurrencies listed in coinmarketcap.com.
A case has been made (repeatedly) for  the existence of a bubble in the cryptocurrency market.
Yeah, I understand cryptocurrencies are volatile, high risk investments. But, are you guys expecting a market crash anytime soon?
Well it could but no one knows when and how. The volatility of crypto market is normal but it needs a major fud coming from personalities or governments. We saw recently how Evergrande's bankruptcy affects the market. As one of the biggest real estate company in China, its downfall affects crypto market even though it has no direct business with it. Now in the future, surely something would happen similar to this but I think market will still recover.
82  Economy / Economics / Re: What's the best advice? on: November 15, 2021, 03:16:47 PM
With the way crypto world is going now and everything is techy futuristic what advice would you give your children when growing up?

Gaming as we know it can now give you monthly payments and as a parent would you allow your kids to get into this just for the money making? To be honest kids are more good at gaming
I'd probably tell them to adopt to new technologies that are emerging. Learning it as it may give you fortunes in the future. Same with crypto technology way back 2010 where everyone know about BTC as a scam and no value yet now it is having a trillion dollar worth of marketcap. In the future, some technology will emerge and I want my children to study it and try to invest in it.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How you deal with your emotions after losing a lot of money on rug pulls? on: November 14, 2021, 04:15:58 PM
I know it isn’t easy for us to get over or move on with these rug pulls, but I wanna ask the community here. For the past few months, I’ve experienced the “expect the unexpected” moments without warning. To be honest, I have accumulated losses of more than $2,000 in failed meme coins, shitcoins, play-to-earn games that ended up being rug pulled.

I am aware of the risks and the amount that I can afford to lose, but it’s just that I find it hard to make that money back that I have hardly earned. But good thing I didn’t go all-in with my entire savings, and that’s a good thing. I just can’t resist myself from being emotional despite that I’m aware of the risks, and my heart was emotionally hurt too.

I wanna hear from you guys on how you deal with these rug pulls after losing huge amounts? Like how many days can you get back on track after being so emotional? Or what you’ve been doing in order to move on faster after you lost money on these rug pulls?
Just move on and try to recover those loses if you still have the heart to go on. But for me, I try to loosen up and get a beer. Get some hangovers then after that, go back to trading. Set aside those loses as it will serve as your stepping stone to your financial freedom. Let that serve as a knowledge and learn from it.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What new and promising tokens do you know? on: November 14, 2021, 04:04:32 PM
Hello everyone, I want to know what projects are worth paying attention to now. I am interested in early investing in startups. I recently found one project, CheckDot. I think their token will grow very well over time because there is a really useful technology behind it. What early-stage projects are you planning to invest in?
Been reading some threads about checkdot recently and it seems like you guys are promoting it. Almost same questions and having a side promotion for this coin.

Hello everyone, my question is: how often do you invest in new and young projects? Aren't you afraid of losing money if the project closes?

I want to invest in a promising project called CheckDot. Their token sale starts this weekend and I think this is a good opportunity to successfully invest money.

Share your thoughts on such an investment. Maybe you have some interesting cases on this matter.

I heard that in the CheckDot platform any user can participate. In theory, everyone can take part in inspections and also receive a reward for this. However, I don't quite understand how. Does anyone know what are the conditions for taking part in the project? Thanks.
Nonetheless, as I scan the project, it looks like a good project and unique. Its main objective of having your opinions in blockchain is quite unique and interesting. Now trading at pancakeswap but product isn't live yet. Still a red flag for me.

Well, as long as the team established themselves as one of the worlds top entrepreneurs or programmers, there's no doubt that I'd invest in such projects. Just like with TheStandard.io where its creators are the founders of Vaultoro and worlds renowned top entrepreneur Joshua Scigala. Other than that, look at their proposed product. Read its whitepaper and research it. There are lots of projects that is emerging with good possible returns specially the P2E projects. Just beware of memecoins and scam ones.

88  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does Trading have an advantage over investing?? on: November 11, 2021, 11:10:44 AM

Trading can make quick profits in a short period of time. However, when trading, it is necessary to continuously analyze and formulate trading strategies based on market changes to avoid losses.
It takes more time to invest. It is necessary to invest money and choose to hold for a long time when the currency price rises to get a good profit.
Yeah and trading have the risks too compared to investing. Quick profits yet also have quick losses. Its all up to your trading preferences. If you have the guts for the risk, then you can do day trading. But if you are just like me, who doesn't want risks but certainties then go in investing for long term.
89  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Take stock or hodl ? on: November 11, 2021, 11:05:04 AM
So with the current peak on Bitcon, Ethereum (and nearly all of my alt coins) is it wise to:

1) Take out the profit to either bank or reinvest when there is another dip
2) HODL in the hope that it keeps rising and rising
Always take some profits. Don't be greedy as it would go down always. What rise up must go down. But if you invest for long term, then the first option isn't for you. Just hold it up and forget about it. Be back within years according to your timeframe and surely it will have a profit way beyond your expectations. Cz even said "If you can't hold, you won't be rich.".
90  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: (Day traders) Are you on long or short at this bull run ? on: November 10, 2021, 11:08:17 AM
This is especially for daily trader, the market has been on unstopping bull since the beginning of the week and has not given chance for a little correction for the bear to be spotted, if you try to go bear, you get burnt for the moment. I have this chart that you see the waves pushing upwards.

So what do you think of any slight correction inview or $70k is just going to be touched before any correction back to $65k ?
Long. I see a very bullish move with the BTC Taproot upgrade happening this Nov. 13. This pull down is just temporary and could immediately be change within incoming days. I see a 70K$+ price of BTC this month and could go beyond within this year unless major fud happens again just like mid may.
91  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: forex trading vs cripto trading on: November 10, 2021, 11:04:29 AM

Which is the  best  for  day trading in your  opinion in terms  of reliability and profit?  In terms  of  profit  maybe  the  cripto, but in terms of  reliability Forex.  Cripto is   like gambling I suppose, you have to check the trollbox, the news and  hope  to jump into the train  fast  enough to not  be burnt.

No its not. Cryptocurrency is not a gamble if and only if you know about the project. Lots of legit projects are out there offering real life usage and innovating for the future. Projects like DeFi and Play-To-Earn are now a thing too that is building a future of banking and work. You just have to research the project, its background and the team behind it. Crypto futures is the gamble though.
92  Economy / Economics / Re: What books do you recommend for economics? on: November 10, 2021, 10:56:50 AM
I just want to ask you all what books do you read for economics?

I for one doesn't invest in books or read books physically because it's so quite expensive these days either in local bookstore or buy the books online. I usually search and read it in google or watch it in Youtube because it's usually free and no charge. It's the advantage of the internet nowadays so why not take advantage of it.  Cheesy

But if you're looking for some physical books for you to read about economics, I can recommend some that I found on the internet if you need. Happy to help!

https://www.investopedia.com/best-economics-books-5186983

Yeah same with me. There's lots of books I want to buy yet some of it are very expensive. Luckily, lots of websites offers free pdf's that contains knowledge about economics, trading and general crypto knowledge. Lots of readily available crypto content are also in youtube but I don't see it as 100% reliable. I also find this forum helpful specially reading some of experienced member replies.
93  Economy / Services / Re: ToriiFinance | Twitter campaign | Earn $25 a week in BTC [FULL - NO SLOTS LEFT] on: November 10, 2021, 07:03:36 AM

Thanks to everyone who participated Smiley

Remember to make your tweets for today though.
Do you guys have plans on extending this campaign of yours? Or even conduct a bounty campaign? I have found your project quite good and would like to promote it more in social media platforms. Hoping for smooth payments too. Thanks.
94  Economy / Economics / Re: Preparing for the future. on: November 09, 2021, 01:28:10 PM
Unfortunately with the current projection of things, the pay from that job that you have spent most years in school preparing for and trying to get may soon not be able to sustain you economically in the near future.
I disagree with this. I graduated in College and living a life that I always dreamed of. I don't think that by not studying specially that these days competition is really hard where companies are hiring the top students having good credentials than those whos at the back of the classroom. I am in a construction field and this is one of the most in demand job out there specially that in my country, we are still developing. Lots of projects are out there are waiting with high income return. However, in the near future where less infrastructure are built upon, and digitalisation is already a global standard, I still don't think that those computer based work are much supreme than being a supervisor in a mall nor selling products.

Diplomas never guarantee anything, nowadays skills are superior. Because not a few of those who graduate from college, if in the end they are not really serious in learning, they will only spend money in vain. Skills are not measured by how high a person's position is, because it can be bought if the person does have skills that can be learned by self-taught.
Nowadays people always have a negative stigma towards those who can't afford college. Though not necessarily college can be successful.
Agreed. Though it is only applicable in some countries unlike some countries specially in south east asia, companies don't accept employees who don't have diplomas. It will always be hard if you don't have one. However, diploma's is just a proof that you studied that course. It is not an assurance that you know well in that field. Experience is still the best one for that.
95  Economy / Economics / Re: Money and wealth as the major religions in world. on: November 09, 2021, 01:23:01 PM
More than Half of the life span of the human race is centred on making of money or wealth.
Because without it, what would we eat? We need money to have the freedom to buy things that we need and almost all of the time, these things are needed. Water. Food. Clothes. All that needs money to buy and it takes time to accumulate one. However, lets not forget that money is only a medium of exchange to the things that we need. Happiness by heart can't be bought by that.
like you said, reality is bitter but it is reality.
even though some people say that happiness is not only about money but from your explanation we should already know that we will live hard if we don't have money.
this is why almost everyone is more concerned with money than anything. a lot of violence and conflict caused by money.
Lots of civil wars are based on money and lots of people don't trust each other because of money problems.
it's bad but reality says so
The point being is that money should not be the center of our lives. It can be earned and there's lots out there waiting. It should not be worshipped and cause war between brothers. Violence will never be the solution to hunger and indifference. Its the humility and generosity.
96  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Start somewhere on: November 09, 2021, 01:14:18 PM
Start your investment with the little you have it will go a long way.
Some people think if you invest huge you can gain huge thats why they're saving money to use as capital. Its true that we can gain huge if we have big capital but it has also risk of losing it all if we dont know what we do. Thats why its a must to have knowledge on what we're getting into before engaging ourselves. If you already fill your mind with knowledge and aware of the nature of crypto then regardless of how much is your capital, you can already start your journey.
Cryptocurrency market is a very volatile one and technical analysis is a must. I think it would take months to really learn about crypto in general specially if you are just new and I agree with you that should have the knowledge first before investing. Capital is one key factor but knowledge drives it to success. Many projects are a scam these days and even manipulating its price. Its still best to learn about the project first before entering any amount. Thank to this forum, lots of thread are available for newbies to avoid a total loss.
97  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: holding is not an easy thing on: November 09, 2021, 01:09:23 PM
alot of people really want to hold but the daily needs of life make them sell off at little profit and solve their needs which is really good. but later they notice the coin they sold cheap is worth enough to liberate them. this kind of occurences are painful but its really not his fault. this brings me to the question of maybe holding is for the rich who can afford to buy and forget. ? lets discuss this, thank you.
There's nothing to pity about though. The money you spent was really needed and it goes to something useful too. It doesn't goes to a casino so its okay. It fills up your stomach and pay your rent or even your tuition. Just stay positive. You did gains too but not that big. You fan still have that in the future.
When it comes to investing then dont really go all in no matter what.Always consider that you should still have money to spare when it comes to your
needs because you cant really just go all in and wouldnt be having any money left for something important. You would really be fucked up on that case.

Money management is all you do need and of course you would need to be wise on how to handle out situations. If you are holding into something or simply with your investment then you should know on how to sustain.

You cant really just make out careless decisions on the money you've been using.Hodling is something hard but if you are really that much
dedicated then this wont really be much a problem.
Agree. You can only hold if you those investment you have are not from your daily expenses. It is easy to hold when the money you invest is from your savings by which you can simply forget. I also agree in not investing all your money up and ill add up some more wherein it is not good to invest all your money to one project only. Diversification is a must to avoid losses and to amplify gains.

99  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Start somewhere on: November 08, 2021, 05:03:23 PM
Starting point is a big challenge when it comes to Investment. There are people who find it difficult to start up an investment because what they have is not large. Start your investment with the little you have it will go a long way.

Expectations to have something big to start maybe delayed. Do you know what point you would have reached if you had started with the little which you afford?
I remember when I first invest in a project, I was hyped because of the admins telling us what they're doing and then sudden silence occured. It was my first scam ICO also and I have learned lot from that. Fundamentals and the team behind it are the key stones to success. Dont rush in investing. It needs time to study the project. Reflect if it has a value in the future and check the background of the team.
100  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I fail in trading on: November 08, 2021, 04:55:59 PM
To get into trading and knowing about the chart and the graphs of the coins you need some experience before getting into it, as trading without experience and investing more and more without experience is just losing yourself completely , I hope you would understand What I'm saying, so always ready with what you have and where you are?
Well trading analysis helps added by experience but for me, its wise if you have a mentor to follow up to. It needs time to learn all these and even months of reading isn't enough too. You need books and technical tools that could help you with your daily trading. And after all these, there's luck. All the technical analysis aren't 100% accurate. Its just a probability that something might happen not certainty.
