201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in cryptocurrencies. on: August 04, 2021, 02:12:32 PM
It depends. Unless you find good projects out there with a dedicated team behind it, it could skyrocket your investment but not all the times you will find one. Other project even though a good one, still do scamming and leave your investment unto their hands.
In other words, cryptocurrency in general is a very risky investment. In a day it could skyrocket and also in a day it could lose your funds however, it is statistically believe that solid coins like Eth, BNB, BTC and other top 10 coins are rising in terms of price only if you hold in years. Volatility in cryptocurrency is really not for soft hearted ones.

Finding a new rising project which has a solid team behind and you can see a great future ahead is really a great catch. But at the same time it is risky of course because sometimes or much of the time new rising projects takes time to skyrocketed, it takes time before the project get known by many and it takes patience to wait till you see the progress. But believe me if you really know how to pick a good project investing in cryptocurrency is a better choice and you will earn a profit that you're expecting for.

Very much agreed. It takes many advertisement to get it mainstream which is also costly. Well, BNB take years for it to be fully utilize and folds your investments into a 1000x even ETH take years too. Every projects needs time to grow as well as its community. Its for us to find which are the good ones and worth the hold.

Some say cryptocurrency is a low risk investment but high return and also does this digital currency have a fundamental value so that it is feasible for investment?
What do you think ?

203  Economy / Economics / Re: In COVID-19 everyone needs motivation on: August 03, 2021, 06:05:36 PM
I think this is every worst situation for all, especially those who are suffering from the pandemic, so we have one option that is to find a way to turn it into positive.
Many died as well, lost our jobs, our businesses and everything, so we really couldn't say it's a blessing. But in this condition, we should just look forward and think about of next-generation future. otherwise, our upcoming generation will also suffer as now we are facing
A year after this pandemic: As a newly college graduate, it is very hard for us to find jobs. Many competitors and only few jobs are now being available. In my country, we have the longest lockdown which happened almost a year and it sucks. No board exams = no license. No license No proper job no money. I'm lossing the motivation to continue with what ive started. No amount of youtube motivational talks is enough to recover from this year of torment.
204  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin investment on: August 03, 2021, 05:59:00 PM
I am investing Bitcoin today even if the price is still very high and risky. I still believe in some speculation that btc will rise up to 100k$ before the year 2021 end, that is why I buy some Bitcoin and hold it till the price reach up to 100k$ may I know what are you thinking this time is it a Time to buy or hold or what ?
Just invest what you can afford to lose. I doubt that BTC could hit 100K this but possibly within few years or so. The recent market bull run was due to new investors who saw the opportunity in crypto and probably also by the help of lockdowns. These lockdowns introduce more people to Cryptocurrency which leads to strong buy force added by institutions who doesn't want to be left behind. However, I am still bullish for BTC. 80K mark is probably the most that it could go within the year.
205  Economy / Economics / Re: Which area will develop after the epidemic? on: August 02, 2021, 11:31:33 AM
This pandemic really advances the virtual technology. It enhances the use of virtual classrooms, virtual meeting events and stuffs like that. Moreover, after this pandemic I believe that medical technology area will probably be put some big priority by governments. Most probably government will give more fundings to battle the unseen creatures and to prevent the next pandemic.
206  Economy / Economics / Re: The Role of Government in Crypto on: August 02, 2021, 11:27:54 AM
the primary role of government is to provide a regulatory framework in an economy, Government sole responsibility is to provide a guideline on how thing are to be done within their jurisdictions.

this is not different with cryptocurrency although cryptocurrency is created with high anonymous the truth remains that cryptocurrency co-exist with other factors in the economy such as the bank and the traditional currencies, for crypto to become a full flesh currency it need to under go government regulation because that is the only way cryptocurrency will be considered a legal currency.

questions:

will will government regulations on cryptocurrencies undermined crypto decentralized nature?
Yes it is. Cryptocurrency is built for poor and by the poor. Decentralisation doesn't require a regulatory body which a government provide. This is why most of DeFi doesn't have to do KYC and all you need is your wallet unlike centralised exchanges like binance. However, Governments role in the society is to protect its constituent from fraudulent activities thats why some country bans the idea of Cryptocurrency.
207  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you see yourself quitting after this bullrun? on: August 02, 2021, 11:21:01 AM
"Goldman Sachs banker quits after making millions on cryptocurrency" - That's the headline on one of CNBC article

Quote
~ Aziz McMahon, Goldman’s managing director and head of emerging market sales in London, quit after making millions of pounds from a bet on the digital currency ether, three former employees at the investment bank told CNBC.

~ McMahon is believed to have cashed in at least £10 million ($14 million) worth of cryptocurrency, the sources said.

~ When approached by CNBC, Goldman Sachs confirmed McMahon’s departure but declined to comment any further.

I purposely left out the coins he bought and profited from because it's irrelevant. The guy must be earning big already given his former position but it took investment in cryptocurrency to quit his job.

How about you? Do you see yourself quitting your day job after this current bullrun? I hope you make enough to start with a business of your own.
I was caught during the bull run and now im in a loss. Most of the coins I invested was way below the price I invested in. Mostly all of them needs a 200% price increase for me to break even. However, even though im in a loss, I don't see myself quitting in this market. As a teenager, the recent bull run will be my guide for my future trading.

What are you doing to increase the communities of your project?
They had an AMA to Blockcast which is an Asian Community Investors happened on their Telegram. A lot of stuffs are also coming in like the airdrop in CMC and Certik audit certification. Another thing that I too are looking forward is the development of the Platform. If the team manages to to build a good one, a $ is easy to attain.
209  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think Elon is manipulating the market? on: July 29, 2021, 09:21:36 AM
The massive dump happened when Elon Musk tweeted about Tesla not accepting Bitcoin as a payment method, whereas a lot of people also lost investment especially beginners who recently put money hoping for a huge pump. After that, a massive fud has happened simultaneously like all of it was all planned and most of us are really f*cked up, -50% loss in the portfolio.

List of fuds that makes the crypto market crash:
-Elon Musk tweeted about Tesla not accepting Bitcoin as a payment method
-Bitcoin price falls after China calls for crackdown on bitcoin mining and trading behavior

Elon, in my opinion, is truly manipulating the market by issuing a statement on his Twitter account that is very influential to the majority of people in the crypto scene without DYOR even his people that are engineers can't assess the reality of bitcoin mining! He stated that BTC isn't good for the environment and having a huge power consumption but many of the experts have already debunked his statement.

I've read also a topic here that also debunks the claim about power consumption. ---> Debunking the "Bitcoin is an environmental disaster" argument.
and here's another one. https://coinshares.com/assets/resources/Research/bitcoin-mining-network-june-2019-fidelity-foreword.pdf

Then what happened, whales buying into the dip, and so on...

https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1396914548167233537

Elon Musk tweeted this as if he truly cares, despite the fact that he is the one who started the fud and made early decisions before putting it into action.
I think Elon is manipulating the market, taking advantage of all those who are following in his footsteps, and it makes me fearful that the sole purpose of crypto being decentralized may be lost soon if the manipulation continues. What do you think?

Edited. The sole purpose of this is to raise awareness of Elon Musk's actions among new traders, so I completely agree with the majority of the responses on my thread.
Agreed. After his company tesla sold over 272M$ worth of BTC in the first quarter, he tweeted about how BTC is bad for the world. He spread FUD and trying to manipulate price to go as low as what price he bought the 1.5B worth of BTC. And probably now he bought at the bottom and trying to have a profit for the 2nd half of the year.
210  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can I recommend a friend to buy Bitcoin now? on: July 29, 2021, 01:28:31 AM
Bitcoin is now rising, and it has jumped by 3k in less than 10 minutes. Although everyone is happy but also worried, is it going to fall again?
My friend asked if I can continue to buy it? But I see a lot of people commenting that giant whales are now controlling the market. I told my friends not to enter the market for now, but my friends seem to have misunderstood me.
Do you think that this kind of market should be forbidden to enter or continue to buy?
I suggest not to panic selling。
Don't wait. Just be bullish and buy BTC. 40K area is still a good buy. I can't see it go below 40K anymore and most probably a 50K mark by next month is achievable. We're getting back on track and correction season is probably done already. Buy responsibly.

212  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin about to break out of the $30,000s market bottom? on: July 28, 2021, 11:35:44 AM
What do you think? After the Amazon rumor pump, followed by dropping back to $36k when Amazon said it wasn't true, Bitcoin is now a day later back pushing $40k. The market bottom has been roughly the $30,000s range (basically $29k to $41k) for the past 2+ months, do you think bitcoin now has enough strength to break out of the bottom of this mini-bear market in the next few days/week or will the price slump back down and stay in the $30,000s for a while longer?

Continued ranging on the bottom or break out and starting to move back to ATHs?
Rumors about amazon was days out before BTC goes bullish. I believe the price action rose when Twitter CEO talks with Elon and Ark invest CEO Catherine wood was surely the reason for this bullishness. Institutions were probably bullish after their talks and specially that they strongly believe that all if institutions weren't invest now, they'll be left behind soon. Nonetheless, it would surely break the 40K-45K mark and goes beyond it by the end of the month.
213  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid-19, Lockdown and repercussions on: July 28, 2021, 11:09:35 AM
Russia has not reported any clinical trials of the vaccine typically millions of people are vaccinated in the third stage. The vaccine is released only after the results have been confirmed russia claims to have tested the vaccine on thousands of people the moscow based association of clinical trials organization requested the health ministry this week not to rush into the vaccine. The russian vaccine may not only be ineffective it may not be safe.
Agreed. As long as WHO didn't approve its use, it should not be deployed to any country. I have heard that my country (Philippines) already used it but im being skeptical about it. However, in terms of Vaccines made by gamaleya, it is proven that this company is quite good. They made vaccines for ebola and according to their website the use of Human Adenovirus stabilised SARS-CoV-2 spikes immunogen which is verified by some organisation.

214  Economy / Economics / Re: If you can get paid through cryptocurrency, do you still choose fiat currency? on: July 28, 2021, 10:48:25 AM
If I can get paid through cryptocurrency, I would prefer to accept cryptocurrency. The price of cryptocurrency is not fixed. At the beginning, I can store a small amount of cryptocurrency. When the price drops, I will increase the cryptocurrency and store it in my wallet, which may gain more benefits in the long run. But there are not many shops in my country that accept Bitcoin as payment, so I have to keep a small part of the legal currency for daily needs.
Agreed. Having Cryptocurrency in your wallet may save you a lot of your hard earned income in the long run as long as you hold some of it and not convert it all to fiat. A small part of your income should go to savings and some part of it should go to your needs.
215  Economy / Economics / Re: Only young and naive guy believe in high risk high return on: July 28, 2021, 12:33:04 AM
Only young and naive guy believe in high risk high return

In the world wars, young and naive people go to battle field and fight each other to death, they take risk to protect the war that they can never win, while they’re being manipulate by the other group of elite who do not like to take such risk. These elite tell the young people to take the risk despite they know it’s risky and they don’t want take the risk but want someone else to take such risk. Many people died and sacrificed in the war that can’t be won. The elite do not take the risk, not only they didn’t take risk they also profit a lot from the war, for the people who love to advocate high risk high return, NOPE you’re wrong, they take no risk while they can make the maximum profit that those of you who take risk can only dream of.

Since the war is over, it’s not profitable for the elite anymore. They know what is their next move after the war. Yup, money, they’re now looking at money, they know money has the same properties to a world war, they also know they do not like to take risk, so now they tell all you idiot to take risk that they don’t want to take and deceive you to believe high risk high return, you’re real idiot if you didn’t learn from the previous lesson, you’re idiot if you didn’t learn from the world wars, you’re idiot to take risk that they tell you to take while they making maximum profit taking no risk at all.
Lol. The world is full of risks. Early bitcoin adopters knew the risk but guess what? They are millionaires now. If you dont know how to hold then you wont become rich.

By your philosophy of war, it's true that young people fought the war. However, calling them naive is quite unfair. They fought war because they want their loved ones to have freedom from oppression. If not those young, who else would? Those elites are old and probably business man who knows nothing but how to make money and politics. You probably have no knowledge in wars.
216  Economy / Economics / Re: If you can get paid through cryptocurrency, do you still choose fiat currency? on: July 27, 2021, 11:03:57 AM
Not all regular stores accepts cryptocurrency, even those big stores aren't doing so. If I were paid in cryptocurrency, I'd exchange it to fiat due to this reasoning specially that my country isn't into crypto as of the moment. It would cause me hardship if I don't exchange it.
217  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it easier to HODL if you are already rich? on: July 27, 2021, 10:10:06 AM
Yeah, no doubt. I believe these financially stable ones have savings good to invest without worrying of a sure loss. They could forget they invest and hold it for years without a problem compare to those who's not having much money where you always check the price if its going up and panicking already if its going down. Its also hard to get funds for your investment if you are in a lower class family and think for food instead of preparing for the future.
218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: THE BULL RIDE OF 2021 on: July 27, 2021, 09:28:04 AM
DeFi Gaming is a thing this year and probably the hottest that came out this 2021. More and more crypto generating games are coming out every month. From Axie to Vulcan and many more. Another thing is the rise of NFT's where NFT projects are coming hot these days. From NFT marketplace to funding NFT creation. These ones are probably what would define 2021.
yeah! i do believe those two DeFi and NFT gaming platform that would greatly bring a lot of confidence to burst the value of bitcoin in todays year 2021. Better you have your own research of the two platform that best for your investments.
Not just confidence to Bitcoin but to cryptocurrency in general. It brings creators and buyers more and more closer as NFT is having its best days. No more auction where its almost exclusive, now everyone can look in any creators product and buy without hassle. DeFi probably will never be as hot as 2020 but it's still there at the top.
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] - LUNALAND - A digital currency harnessing the power of the Blockchain. on: July 27, 2021, 01:11:05 AM
I don't understand how this could have a potential value in the future. No utility = no value. I don't see how this digital money could compete with others unless you have Elon musk in your side. I just hope everyone who invest here should read first before investing to you.

To each their own. We believe we can make something valuable. The best thing is that many projects out there. If this does not appeal to you, you can invest in something else. No one is forcing anyone to invest in any project they see no potential in.
This is not the answer I expect from a CEO. I expect a more define answer to what could derive your future value. I don't intend to insult or anyway degrade your project. I want facts and technical explanation which isn't available at your Whitepaper or any social media platform. I saw how you and shrew team familiarity. From being a UK based up to Burning of so many tokens. Nonetheless, Good luck to your project.
