It's closer to Gold which has a yellow shade but none of that matters. I don't know what's his plans are for Doge but he hasn't really told his followers to buy the coin every time he tweets about it. The first time he's been serious is when he said there's too much concentration and he'll support of major Doge holders would sell some of their stash. Maybe he wants to buy cheaper and let everyone speculate.
It was also nice of him to play it safe and cautioned his followers when investing after his recent remark that Dogecoin could be the cryptocurrency of the future.
He did it because he saw many people are telling how he is manipulating the market just to have a sort of escape/excuse. A little too late I'd say. Read how this guy is treating his own workers, he's far from the perfect guy everyone dreams to be like. It's just a mirage many fall for. |

He posted and messed the market once again, I feel the crypto market lost its fun since this guy took over it. Maybe it's just me but it's all becoming a sort of bad joke, where a Dog meme coin equals $1 then falls in the biggest crypto bubble ever. This will hurt the crypto image in the short-mid term for sure.

I wish someone told me about BTC in 2010. I only found out about it myself in 2013. I've also made mistakes along the road, I remember Reddcoin (possibly) increasing like 10x times what a lost opportunity to have more BTCs, then Dogecoin reaching today's values while I sold most Dogecoin in 2017, this is life, we have to move on, we're not perfect!

There are two opposite feelings in me regarding the DOGE hype by Elon Musk. In one side, I feel happy because a big figure like Elon Musk was starting to acknowledge how amazing cryptocurrencies are. But on another side, I feel disappointed, why it has to be Doge, a meme coin without certain utility. There are so many projects with amazing use cases out there that can be introduced to common people. I'm afraid with this kind of hype, the crypto world is only known as a dump and pump scheme without any clear purpose.
Yup this brings a shadow over the crypto market and especially when the Dogecoin bubble will burst there will be many people disappointed and with their money lost. |

If I had invested $ 100 in bitcoin in 2010, I wouldn't have a chance to hold it until 2021. we have to evaluate everything according to its own time. A lot of people would have invested $ 100 back then and sold them at the end of 2017 for sure. Someone whose goal is solid, whose goal is real, who is focused on his goal would have only ever held it.
Correct. This is why we shouldn't regret anything. Imagine how many people sold BTCs in 2010 for pennies and now could have been millionaires. A simpler way would be HODLing. Coz you never know what the future might bring  |

I gave away myself ~50K-100K Dogecoins years ago through my Doge games and Reddit giveaways when Elon Musk and most people had no idea what Dogecoin is. I've discovered Dogecoin since day 1 here on this forum so you're wrong. Don't delude yourself, that is part of the reason you are so bitter. Elon is a modern day Edison, so he is a genius with a side of billionaire. If the world will buy and sell with a coin named after a dog, pumped by a billionaire guy and which has 100 addresses owning > 67% of its supply then this world has serious issues. Dogecoin is nothing more than a joke coin and people fail to admit it. I've been a huge Dogecoin supporter myself but I've never seen it as something greater than BTC because these are 2 different worlds.
I remember just a few years ago, where everyone in finance thought Bitcoin was a joke. Increase in price verses fiat has a way of destroying that thought process. I have no doubt , that Doge will follow that same route as BTC. @20kevin20 You might want to look for some different exchanges to handle doge for you. The ones I use , confirmations are like 10 instead of the hundreds that you are saddled with. PM me if you want the name of a lower confirmation exchange. I really hope Dogecoin will reach $1 so I can convert my last Dogecoins to BTC once for good and forget about this pump and dump coin. |

I haven't sold a bit since 2013, not a single satoshi. Sometimes it's hard and the temptation is high but I'm still HODLing, I do have patience that's for sure, will probably sell 10% in 1-2 years who knows |
