Ya that is also a problem. As soon as this coin came out, it got flooded and everything was rented. Haha

I try to always be higher than the height of difficulty...but that's been kind of difficult in this cult

Does that mean that if I don't use enough mining power I could end up spinning my wheels and not get any coins at all?

I was assuming that your return is generally proportional to the amount of resources you can allocate to mining, or is that not the case?

Correct. You will probably waste more power than you will get back mining on anything than ASICs and a GPU farm. We have a unique situation here where we do not see any value of the coins yet so you are investing essentially in mining power in anticipation for a return but if you are mining very small JBS on your own hardware, you are really wasting power and not seeing any benefit on the cost -> JBS ratio.

I would suggest you rent a rig if you want to build some mining power up and use that to mine JBS. Once you get some, you then can just stake and earn coins for holding the ones you mine.

Difficulty is high man, i'm renting 80 mh/s and it's about 6k coins a day, try renting at least 40-50 mh/s

How do you know it's high?  Where do you see this?

In the client and ya, that explains it. Its SCRYPT so ASICs are going to murder your CPU mining, even GPU. If you go into the debug console of the wallet and type getinfo you will see difficulty. Diff has been in the 50-100 range lately so you can get a few decent payouts with about 50-100 MHs rigs but yea, SCRYPT got rented a ton these last few days.

Pool 2 is now the largest outside of the PoS blocks so you are slowly accumulating. Best bet is to rent a miner, do the same address and you will start getting paid when those blocks mature.
164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CoinmarketsCoin - Scrypt - POW+POS - Fair Launch - NO IPO - NO PREMINE on: September 05, 2014, 04:22:14 PM
well I've been mining for over 36 hours so shouldn't I see something?
How fast are you mining? If you are in the Khs range, you may be waiting a while. Here is how the mining works for some clarification.

When you are mining, you are submitting shares. Your speed and diff come into play with how many shares you submit and how they are paid out. Submitting 1,000 shares at diff 8 is not the same payout as submitting 1,000 at diff 1024 but that will come into play later.

When a block is found, the network takes 510 confirmations for it to mature before they are spendable, same as if you found a block staking your wallet. The block has the TX to the pool wallet so during this time of the reward - the 1.5% but can't be sent in a TX until this is matured.

At block times of 1 minute, this is about 510 minutes or about 8.5 hours for those rewards to start confirming if you had at least 10 coins of that block. Every hour the payments run, if your address has more than 10 JBS, you will get the pool payout. If not, you will continue to build your balance until you break the 10 JBS and then the payout will send to you.

We will see. Here is a start in the other direction. Part about crypto is that it doesn't need to be central anywhere. We have a new financial system that can connect anyone all over the world and doesn't need to stay in one "hub" that you see in the financial world.

PwP is still a thing in motions. But due to community interest we have switched focus to the Poker platform. Which for the last few days actually got put aside to create the Twitter Bot exchange. Good old Scope creep on multiple projects Smiley

It is all starting to tie together on its own as we delve deeper into everything. So having the ability to buy Pinkcoin with Fiat is definitely in our sights.

Perhaps someone should clarify what that means, because simply put as it is in that sentence, doesn't reflect the alternatives (only one, really) to achieve this: In what refers to the USA -and many other countries- the ONLY way to do it, without spending a lot of money, is through an intermediary, such as Moolah (there are many others). This is very easy to accomplish and in the wallet it is simply a link to Moolah's site. That's it. But, clearly it is NOT what people want, i.e.: direct conversion from fiat to PINK without the added fees collected by the intermediary of choice.

THAT can only be achieved, legally -and legality is a requirement, not an option-, by depositing a very large amount of money to get the licenses needed in the US and in other countries. In other words: It is NOT doable.

Fair enough. Let me translate.

"...having the ability to buy Pinkcoin with Fiat is definitely in our sights."

Translation:

"We're looking into the possibility of offering Pinkcoin for fiat."

How? Easy. With all the fud plaguing Crypto, we plan on 'looking into it' by discussing the idea in detail with a lawyer.

I just saved you the hassle. It is a requirement of the US government. Big Vern -who has ponied up the dough already- can give you as many details as you want.

This is something of very doubtful utility that doesn't require further action since it would be a waste of time/effort. So I'd recommend to get moving on what is achievable and forget impenetrable walls.

With the US laws, it may be easier to get a exchange to list this as a FIAT/USD. This exchange is very easy to build but the problem I have is that I am double screwed being in the US and also NY.

I did have a way to do this setup but would still require someone to sign up with an account and wait a few days to process a bank transfer as buying with credit/debt and charge backs make this really ugly.

NY will be quickly -or not so quickly but definitely in the end- followed by most if not all States (and Nations outside the US). Regulation, full fledged, is definitely coming. PINK should WELCOME it and advocate for it to arrive sooner better. And achieve doable things.

I disagree. NY fails to believe in innovation. The government is heavily influenced by the major financial sectors here and therefore limiting it and "protecting" people. States like California who are accepting it and adopting it will thrive and the same thing that happened to NY with businesses in general that moved due to the regulation and paper work to operate here. They will be begging for crypto companies to come back in the future.

I am personally starting to load up (my very small boat) around these prices because I cannot understand at all why the coin is being sold and I believe the rebound is very, very near... The current valuation of this coin is, in my opinion, extremely below the level that current assets, especially the community, would seem to deserve, so I'm investing for a quick rebound.

Welcome back to the dark side.

Hello guys and gals, is there any update for the Pink Poker game?

This is not going to be a night build. Poker is a very complex task and since we are building it custom, will take some time while we also want to make sure we take the UI into account but the security of running a enterprise level poker site.

Thanks for the update. I just wanted to know since it really is a complex task to finish.
I do know that since I am developing pink poker game myself. AndI am almost done, 90% Is finished. The remaining 10% is more testing and some design.

Best regards Anoxy

What is your release date?

WOW!

SUMGYE ,TRANZIUM, FAYOLING,  CRYPTOCAYCE,  SONYSASANKAN,  OWL,  BOXXA and the rest of the Pink army!

You guys are amazing, I can't believe how great you have made and continue to make pink coin.

For any new investors reading, do some research read the thread I have yet to see a more fun, innovative, honest and happy group of Devs!

I can't wait to use all the new features (I had a bit of a break and a few computer troubles but downloading the new wallet now and should be enrolling for pink millionaires club soon)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now I know you have been super busy but I was wondering how Pay with Pink was going (if it is still happening)?

Who runs the blog daily pinkcoin? (I Wouldn't mind helping out writting a few articles to be posted if I had limited access as it hasn't been updated since June and I don't want you guys to have to waste time repeating the same info in multiple places!)

Any PINK NFL fans? Interested in a fantasy league or tipping competition?

I could play some FF for some PINK or to get more people involved, a weekly pick'em game that is played with PINK. Each week we have a winner and the most points at the end of the year.

Anybody else interested? won't be to much fun if its just Boxxa and I

I had a convo with Cayce a couple months back how we'd probably be playing Fantasy Football.. he said he guaranteed it, so I'm pretty sure he's up for it. I'm down as well, but I'm awful:) Take my money. Lol.

My thought with the Pick'em style is that it takes the full management out of it. You pick games each week for the winner and get points. Allow anyone who just likes to watch it play and not have to dedicated life to fantasy =)
179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hash Rate just hit 200 000 000 GH/s! on: August 19, 2014, 02:24:12 PM
Oh man. I miss the CPU mining->GPU mining progression when seeing that hash rate spike and thought that was EPIC. Now we are going from 333MH/s ASICs to TH/s on a consumer level. Amazing progression.

Feel like the hash rate progression is the same as the internet speed progression. Dialup->DSL->Cable->Fiber to the home

Figure since the season is starting, we will just run one that each week you pick each winner with the spread and most points each week wins and over all can get paid out.
