Anyone here who made it with Bitcoin but still keeps living like a average person? Thank god I made it, thanks to Bitcoin. But I keep staying in cheap hotels, try to eat good food but without spending unnecessary money etc. For example, I eat a good steak but I don’t choose a steak house but prefer a supermarket where you buy the meat from the butcher and then they cook it for you in the built in restaurant.. That costs me 20 bucks vs 60-80 bucks in the steak house for the same meat. I’m not sure if this is a good or a bad habit. I hate to spent money on things that do not give me more benefits than the cheaper version. A luxury hotel is nice but at the end you just need it for the night sleep. I’m outside all day exploring. Some people spent 500 bucks a night for a hotel. I try to safe 5€ per night by finding the same hotel over google. Usually I pay 40-50€ per night for a hotel

Another example, I live in the center of Bangkok and stay in a luxury apartment in Asok. The room is only 30 sqm and it costs me 700 euros a month. I could have a 60 sqm apartment in the same building but would cost me 1400 Euros. I just can’t justify spending that much money every month because it’s money I won’t ever see again.  So, I live on a budget, but still in a luxury place. Trying to find the middle way when it comes to spending money.

Would be interesting to hear different opinions on this topic. Some people spent it on yachts and lambos. I try to live as cheap (but good) as possible.

Freedom is what counts, NGU is a side effect that gives you the toys but you lose a bit of freedom with every toy you buy.

For what it's worth, my experience with people of faith (mainly Christians, bus some from other religions), has been pretty negative, on average. I find many of them to be among the most aggressive, intolerant, arrogant, stubborn, closed-minded, bitter, toxic individuals I've ever met. For me, the fact that someone is deeply religious is a pretty accurate predictor of one or more of the above traits. There are exceptions, of course, but the norm seems to be like that.

It's sad, really... I wouldn't wish it on anybody.

You forgot they are the biggest hypocrites that walk the face of this planet.

@theymos
Okay, I've been reading the OP and then a few follow up pages.

Please can someone clarify if I get this right - since a mixer is also an integral part of certain wallets with a strong focus on privacy (Samurai, Wasabi etc), will it also be prohibited to talk about these?

In consequence, will it be prohibited to talk about https://walletscrutiny.com/ or any other forum, website, service focused on privacy in Bitcoin?
What about Monero, can we talk about that?

...

Examples of things that are not banned mixers include exchangers (unless they have a mixing function), CoinJoin-supporting non-custodial wallets, and Monero.

reading more on negotiation page 167 gave him a merit.

so pages 167 and 168 had good content.

but there is an issue of poorly credited sources.

So I will read pages of posts 160 to 166 later and see how many poor crediting posts he made.

I am thinking this is why no one gives merits to him.

I NEVER merit posters that do not properly credit sources and will normally give them a comment to point out their failing and then if they continue they go straight to ignore.

I've had a few argue about it rather than take it as the advice it was intended as and they go straight to ignore and usually end up banned and whining like little girls that they did nothing wrong and didn't know.

For the first time since Week 5 I'm actually pretty happy about my lineup. But I won't go into depth about it lest I jinx myself.

Its been all downhill for me since this post. I've been on a freakin' 4-game losing streak, and I'll likely lose this next game as well -- not that it matters anymore. I truly did jinx myself.

In any case, getting away from that whole fiasco, we have some exciting games still yet to take place through the rest of the season.

I almost said something earlier in the season and bit my tongue so as not to jinx myself!

Who had Texans on their NFL Bingo Card as possible playoff contenders this year?
I don't think anyone anywhere thought Houston would even break even this year!

Quote
For a playoff picture, I'd like to see Dolphins vs. Chiefs in the AFC and Eagles vs. 49ers in the NFC.

this would be some good games.

I am contemplating if I drop all my players in the waiverwire or continue playing to avoid ending on the bottom hehehe.

Yeah, I'd probally neg trust you for that. Wink

In any case, I predict the Jets and the Raiders will beat the spread, both with +3 and Mahomes will win against Josh Allen hehehe.

Really tough making spread calls this year for some reason, ml safer.

Also, who is everyone's MVP for the regular season? I reckon Dak, however, I know everyone might be on Purdy.

Stroud, Purdy, Mcaffrey are all good candidates off the top of my head.

Killing someone at a distance of 2.5 miles is impressive! The bullet would typically take more than 5 seconds to reach the target. And then there is the ballistics to take into account.

It took 9 seconds!

They literally took the humidity into account on that shot.

I do not trust Brock Purdy yet in a big game against someone like Patrick Mahomes.

This is the first time I wanted BCT to have a down vote option. Smiley

Wander in to P&S and I bet you’ll increase that number 10-fold, especially reading one forum member’s post in particular (hint, it’s not good..it’s bad  Cheesy ).

@bbc Brock Purdy wouldn’t face Mahomes. He faces the Chiefs defense. To boot, Mahomes has not been Mahomes really this year, esp of late. Kelce looks hurt (rumors he’s hanging it up after this year) and the KC receivers are absolute shit (Rice is okay).  The Niners are a much much better team all around. Defense obviously much better and Purdy has 100x the weapons Mahomes has. My money would be all over SF in a matchup between these two.

P&S ?

I was just busting bbc's balls, yeah There are tons of posts on this forum I would break the mouse button downvoting! Cheesy

Looks like 3 of us have locked up a playoff spot!

I think you might be the only one with a chance to knock SM out of contention, GL.

Another step up the ladder we go. I’ve now had multiple people ask me about whether or not they should cash out their retirement and put it all into Bitcoin. This is usually a sign of a top but it’s definitely a sign that people who watch Bitcoin are starting to get fomo. With so much good news in the pipeline things may stay exciting for a while.

You know alot of stupid people.

Do you ask them why they didn't already do that?

JJG wrote (a comment at the bottom of a lot of text) a few pages back (reply 655021 on WO page 32752):

At this rate, I have my doubts that Saylor is even going to stop at 210k BTC, even though that would be a nice round number of BTC to have and maybe even to maintain.. so if he goes beyond 210k BTC, then he could keep buying more but then saying that he and/or his company will never go below 210k BTC... so then after getting above that number he could declare that he has enough.. but Saylor no does not think like a normal person.. so probably he will not be able to stop accumulating and amassing more and more bitcoin."

THAT, amigo mio, is someone who Thinks Like A Giant.  "Giants" typically think differently.  Also, many Giants know what they're doing, and they do what they want (eg Elon Musk).  Finally, it is often smart to "follow in the footsteps of Giants."  It's a good way to think and make money in the longer term, think Generational Wealth.

I'll not mention where such Giant thinking is discussed at more length as it is not BTC-related.

Let me Meme translate this for you.

I've got this on vinyl.

Code:
"Only The Good Die Young"

Come out, Virginia, don't let me wait
You Catholic girls start much too late
But sooner or later it comes down to fate
I might as well be the one
They showed you a statue and told you to pray
They built you a temple and locked you away
But they never told you the price that you pay
For things that you might have done...
Only the good die young

You might have heard I run with a dangerous crowd
We ain't too pretty, we ain't too proud
We might be laughing a bit too loud
But that never hurt no one
So, come on, Virginia, show me a sign
Send up a signal I'll throw you the line
The stained-glass curtain you're hiding behind
Never lets in the sun
Darling, only the good die young

You got a nice white dress and a party on your confirmation
You got a brand new soul
And a cross of gold
But, Virginia, they didn't give you quite enough information
You didn't count on me
When you were counting on your rosary

They say there's a heaven for those who will wait
Some say it's better but I say it ain't
I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints
The sinners are much more fun...
You know that only the good die young

You say your mother told you all that I could give you was a reputation
She never cared for me
But did she ever say a prayer for me?

Come out, come out, come out
Virginia, don't let me wait,
You Catholic girls start much too late,
But sooner or later it comes down to fate
I might as well be the one,
You know that only the good die young
Tell you baby
You know that only the good die young
Only the good die young
Only the good
Only the good die young

I do not want to join XFL or USFL fantasy. I want to join a MLB fantasy, however. The season schedule fits with how long we wait hehehe.

I have no desire to get into any other sports but if you really want that then start a thread.
240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: November 29, 2023, 03:01:41 AM
For the Coiners to clinch they'll need two wins, or one win and one loss for all the 6-6 teams.

Even if Coiners manage to hang on to 4th place they'll get crushed in the first playoff game by Mo's freight train.

We need participation trophies, something soft and cuddly to hug while crying for the next eight months.

If everyone agrees to join the fantasy league for next season, can we pick the draft order earlier? These 8 months will be very slow and long.

Maybe this year we can do XFL and/or USFL.
