It looks like FTX will be selling $200,000,000 worth of crypto every week for the next 17 weeks… This will start next week. This downward pressure on the market will likely hold prices somewhat in check until the end of the year. I’d imagine once this is behind us (and the mtgox coins are distributed) it should be the final hurdle before launch.

They only held Shitcoins, no-one cares.

When Shitcoins tumble all the tards run from the sinking ship.

And they run to King Daddy.

*edited for lack of coffee brain

They chatter says they hold $268 in Bitcoin (7.8%), which isn't a lot tbf. $16m per week per week liquidating that would be. Other altcoins will get rekt though as there is already no liquidity to prop up a lot of prices.

I'm thinking it's time for another flush out of altcoins as Bitcoin continues sideways, maybe even a bit to the upside.

I have not been able to find any actual verifiable source for what the actual amounts and assets are, nothing but a circle jerk of unverified reports quoting each other.

Multisig solves a lot of potential security issues without making things complex (which is a security issue by itself). It really should be the standard in case of managing anything else than pocket change.

Shamir Backup seems like the best option to me. for a casual anyway.

Pretty easy and safe and secure.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p7WkAN0Gac4

I am not resting assured from those two videos, so in that regard, I have my doubts that shamir backups are a slam dunk as better than multi-sig.. including that multi-sig allows for not having to bring all the keys together at the same place (even though surely Antonopolis had pointed out one of the dangers to have the  public keys for all three but maybe only needing the private keys for two)

It seems that one of the dangers that bitebits was wanting to lesson is the potential problems of being reliant on one manufacturer, but sure, if you end up overcomplicating your matters, then you become your own danger to yourself.

That response was to his assertion that it should be a default.
383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: September 09, 2023, 05:46:10 PM
An important new governance proposal is in for the Dash Masternode network to vote on.
https://www.dashcentral.org/p/TREASURY-REALLOCATION-60-20-20
In brief, the proposal aims to make the following emission changes.

Current allocation:

    Miner reward: 36%
    Masternode reward: 54%
    Treasury: 10%

Proposed allocation, in light of the above:

    Miner reward: 20%
    Masternode reward: 60%
    Treasury: 20%

This proposal may be seen as controversial by some, but it reflects the network's overall lesser reliance on POW for the network security and the greater role that the masternodes play in securing the coin.  Voting is now open and you may view the leaderboard here https://mnowatch.org/leaderboard/ as the votes come in, in real-time.

LOL whales squeezing the little guys even more!

what a joke this shitshow is.

Who hoo won the Detroit game.  It paid put +180 for straight money line.  Without kelce and the first game of the season I figured they would struggle.  The disappointing part of the game was how little theor weapons were used or were effective.  CEH, Pacheco were none existent, sky Moore was a huge disappointment.  We'll see once kelce gets back he changes the game for KC.  Hurts having jones hold out too.

Congrats, yeah that game really showed the chinks in KC's armor.

Their WR corp is a disgrace.

Lions re-signing Jones looks like a big fail as well as he could have easily lost them that game.

Poison oak and poison ivy suck.

First time ever catching it, not interested in trying sumac or oak variants. Smiley

I really screwed up when first washing it by using hot water and spreading it to my other arm and hand. Doh

I didn't really have any respect for it, being immune my entire life.

But it is going away pretty fast now that I am treating it correctly and not spreading it anymore lol.

I even tossed the gloves I used to pull it up with which I would not have even thought of a few days ago. Doh

Found it!

I've been growing black berries along my deck for awhile and the shit was mixed in and I fixed the lattice the other day without even noticing it.

I ran the Winnie into the lattice (actually did a domino effect into it) so finally got around to fixing it the other day.

Either way Fuck with the best and die like the rest!

That plant is History. Cheesy

Don't mention the deck needs a new staining, I did it last fucking year and that home Depot SHIT IS GARBAGE!

That looks like poison oak.

Funny thing is The green leaves were all mixed in with the black berry leaves (They look similar) and the ones with the red were hidden around the base around the corner of the deck. almost like it was trying to blend in.

The same resin from poison ivy that causes so much discomfort is also used as a lacquer base to create some of the most beautiful and functional works of art which can be used to write words that have "the ability to help, to heal, to hinder, to hurt, to harm, to humiliate and to humble1".

I wonder if getting old just makes you more susceptible to shit and thats why I caught it when I never have before?

I certainly subscribe to the theory that your body slows in recovery time with age, and also cannot tolerate certain kinds of abuses that it was able to tolerate when younger... and some of those behaviors that we did as a younger person might end up killing us as an older person, so in that sense, I would take with a grain of salt about the idea that "whatever doesn't kill you, will make you stronger".. since that is likely a younger man's phenomena..

youth. yeah. its nice. in younger days i had to do something really really stupid to cause noticeable damage to myself. now stuff breaks while sitting in a recliner reading a book.

cumulative damage is like compound interest.. it really adds up over time lol

Whats up with this waking up with problems you didn't have when you went to sleep???

Oh you slept wrong, No motherfucker I been sleeping the same way my whole life and suddenly you think I forgot how! <<- I've been saying this a few years at the casino so expect to see it in a movie one of these days.

...even though it is probably that our bodies do likely need some stressors to become stronger even though at some point we are not as able to even tolerate various stressors, so we have to make the stressors weaker in order to become stronger and we might not even be able to get up to close to the levels of our previous tolerances.. and even now there are some things that I just am not able to do, and I am not prepared to train 24/7 in order to try to get up to being able to do certain things that I could do in my 20s, and my training might not end up getting me to those levels anyhow, so then I just ended up wasting my time on goals that I am not able to achieve while neglecting some other areas of my life that are also important.

HAHa, I made up a parody quote to that years ago.

"Whatever doesn't kill you will probably scar you for life!". Cheesy

Filbfilb analyst predicted that Bitcoin's price can hit 46k in first quarter of 2024 before halving event. If that's true then the current accumulators will make some good profits.  Wink

Does anyone here have funds held on Binance? If so, I would like to tell you that you do not. If you are able to get funds off Binance, do it. I’ve been urging people to distance from Binance ever since it was clear FTX failed using the Binance roadmap. Maybe Binance will survive, but having funds on that exchange right now is playing with fire.

Removed years ago, surprised it took this long to be honest.

Just to be clear, I was being sarcastic... Lions will suck horribly, that's a safe bet any year.
I'll take that bet.

Specify your definition of sucking not horribly and the amount you're willing to lose on this Grin

Sucking horribly is definitely on the low side but I'll give you a break and make the terms not below 50%.

W-L 50%, so you're saying they'll have 8.5 wins or more? Ok, I'll bet on less than 8.5.

How many bitcoins?

LOL, I give you a break and you want to make it a serious bet?

I'll make one for beer money of over 50% but if you want to make a real bet then I'm not cutting you a break.

Sucking Horribly is WAY under 8.5 wins and you know that very well.

I question my decision on drafting Deshaun Watson instead of Trevor Lawrence for by qb1. I wish he is allowed his regular schedule of power massages before practice similar to when he was in Houston. It is good for the mind hehehe.

Watson is a SERIOUS gamble and I would not play him until he proves himself.

Just a bit of advice.

Why did you edit your post and scratched Massage Watson as a serious gamble? Did you get information making him a very lucky pick? I had the decision between Massage and Lawrence, however, why would the Browns make him one of the highest paid quarterbacks if he cannot perform as expected? They also accepted him despite the sexual molestation cases.

Massage for MVP!

I crossed it out after you mentioned your backup was Stafford and I checked the Waiver wire and you literally have nothing but gambles for choices.

@Hueristic….Grats on the new choppers bro.
thx man. Smiley

Seems to me that you missed my earlier mostly semantics post on the topic.

@Hueristic….Grats on the new choppers bro.
He crashed his chopper into a tree, and he got new chompers.

Yeah no I caught that, pretty good one. Smiley

I am having an issue with poison ivy spreading and had your post quoted but the fucking itching was getting too much and had to go take off for the day anyway.

Funny thing is I've never had an issue with ivy before.

Even when my friends caught it I never did so this is surprising.

I just decided to ignore it the last few days figuring it would go away but it has started spreading.

So I think What happened is when I scrubbed it I used hot water which spread the oil.

From what I gather now after doing some research is you have to use cold water and soap on the oil and then dry the skin out with something like alcohol or vinegar.

And some say to use mint so I am doing an experiment and using alcohol on one arm and lotion with mint on the other after scrubbing them with cold water and dishwashing soap.

I wonder if getting old just makes you more susceptible to shit and thats why I caught it when I never have before?

When I was young I literally rubbed the shit on my arm to prove to my friends that I don't catch it when they had it and said I was lucky I didnt touch it.

Had a buddy that wouldn't believe I was immune, the poor bastard was covered and told me he even got it on his prick just from taking a leak with it on his hand.

If that happens I'll be going straight to the fucking ER! Cheesy

Run along to the noob section and come back once you've grown up in a few years.

hahahahaha

Maybe Firsttime91 should go hang out with Exphorizon... and they can eat cookies and drink milk together... just a matter of at which grandma's house.

We need a button on this forum "Grow up Kid" and after enough people hit it it pops up with a message "You've been voted to the short end of the pool" when they try to post.

I would like to say that I'm extremely happy that the amount of farmers decreased so significantly in the WO recently ...

Does someone know how this fantastic result was achieved?

Whoever did this, I would like to send you a huge THANK YOU for bringing us back this great experience  Kiss

If you check this topic you will notice a lot of familiar "faces":

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5465195.0

I'd rather say they flocked over there for quicker and easier merits. Kudos to hugeblack for setting up that farmer honeypot.

HAH, yeah looks like a nice HoneyPot.
