Bitcoin can be stored literally as colors.

Read that again.

Developers found a way to convert bitcoin "private keys" or "seed phrases" into a sequence of colors linked to their hex codes. Imagine using a colorful painting on your wall as your secretly encoded bitcoin password.

Click for details: https://github.com/enteropositivo/bip39colors

good idea but remembering six-digit hex codes is not really easy compaired to seed phrases. is there a way to read the hex code from a painting? I know that there is a tool in photoshop.

Imagine what happens why you go to get your coins and the paintings colors faded to a different color and your keys are gone.

^Okay, with all the discussion around AI generated content, I want to conduct a little test to see if you guys can discern AI from reality.  Obviously, this is an informal test but here goes.  (feel free to use one of those detection tools on it as well).  It's not necessary for everyone to respond to this post - I'll update this post with an edit at  ~2100 UST to let you know.  Oh, regardless of what comes after this, I still love you JJG Smiley

I just wanted to bring up a point about JJG's forum postings. Don't get me wrong, the guy knows his stuff and has some really useful insights. But seriously, he uses way too many words to make a simple point! I mean, come on, who has the time to read through a novel every time he posts something? It's like he's trying to show off how smart he is by using a million unnecessary words. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate a well-thought-out argument, but sometimes brevity is key.

#nohomo

Are there any tools to check posting history for changes, I'd be interested to see how fast my decline has been according to AI.

US judge rules Ripple $XRP is not a security

In a significant ruling a US judge has declared Ripple XRP as not a security ending a years long legal battle with the SEC. The judge denied the SEC motion against the digital asset and ruled against its claims of XRP being a security. This landmark decision could have far-reaching implications for the cryptocurrency industry as a whole.

Read Out More Details about this

Quote
(Reuters) -U.S. District Judge Analisa Torres said Ripple Labs Inc’s institutional sales of its XRP digital token violated federal law because they constituted the unregistered offer and sale of investment contracts, according to a ruling on Thursday.

The SEC had accused the company and its current and former chief executives of conducting a $1.3 billion unregistered securities offering by selling XRP, which Ripple's founders created in 2012.

Torres, who is based in New York, said the company's $728.9 million of XRP sales to hedge funds and other institutional buyers amounted to unregistered sales of securities. However, Torres said the case must go to trial so a jury can decide other aspects of the SEC's claims.

Well Well Well, never thought I'd see a Senator with the balls to call out and expose the Billionaires behind the bought and paid for Supreme Court but maybe this country has a chance to right the ship after all.

*Doubt it as MSM owned by those same billionaires wont cover this shit.

WTF?!  I thought conspiracy theories were exclusively under the purview of far-right, flag-waving, bigoted, xenophobic, misogynistic, racist, nazi extremists?

edit: Oh... never mind.  They still are.

Democrat senator refuses to leave all-white private beach club despite championing racial justice
The senator said he hoped the club would change but absolved himself of responsibility by saying it was not his place to challenge the club’s rules

 He's a lawyer AND a politician.  That's never a good thing.

You think the supreme court being bought and paid for is a conspiracy theory?

LOL, I thought more highly of you.

I was thinking on the merits of a merit ban, and I even though this is one of the only areas I frequent and certainly the only one on a daily basis, I think that removing merits from this thread would force those sources to move to other places to dump them and that in my mind would not be beneficial to the WO as a whole.

I am of the opinion that there should be a set minimum post count and activity as well as merit level for anyone to even post in this thread and a different limit for posting links.

Something like minimum member status to even post a Twatter link.

One of my kid's favourite bands just released a new "album" which of course is on the birthday list.  Suddenly what's old is new again.

If you know... you know.
Just wish I hadn't tossed out my old Sony Walkman Sport with AM/FM and convenient armband.

Mine has mega bass!

..and auto reverse

nothing can beat 8 tracks switching tracks in the middle of a song

*ka-chunk*

The worst part of that wasnt the klunk but the leading silence from both sides of the tape.

We used to have one of those at a store I worked in as a kid.  The only one tape we had was Mickey Gilley; luckily it had a radio as well.

Had one in my 72 Gran Torino, Zep II, Houses of the Holy, Jimmy H (forgot which) and a few others I cant remeber. Zepplin basically just got swapped back and forth continuously. Cheesy

...OT: Gotcha...to me, it would be easier to build those using silicon than cells, but I could be totally wrong.

...
...but here we are, just 6 years later, and at least some aspects of human thinking were already emulated by a machine, it seems.
The question remains only on how deep this emulation goes.

My thoughts are that these neural networks can be created for specific problem solving techniques and then they can teach ai models that can in turn be used in production settings.

Scope this out. Smiley

interesting, but they are not doing anything, really, being just cells on a mesh substrate.
here is something more interesting...also not dangerous (at least not yet): xenobots
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wL64jqYn4CE

Before we would have any danger from those little clamps, imho, we would be in a real one from mechanical one's.
Totally unrelated (because it was not organic), but it made me think about Black mirror's "cookie".

Interesting but I'm much more interested in neural networks that can be used for navigation and exploration.

It's been like Groundhog Day movie for the last 2 weeks. It's just boring.

You think Groundhog Day movie is boring?

Not as boring as any Star Wars movie.

well when i saw the original star wars in the theater back in the 70s it was pretty rockin. the rest of the series, along with that reissue they did of the original with more effects did stink though.

Empire was OK at the time but when I saw revenge and a bunch of teddy bears waddling with spears killing storm troopers I just about puked and it only went down hill from there.

Always was a Trekkie until after the next generation, everything good gets destroyed, I cant even force myself to watch the woke drivel they put out under the franchise now.

Today: 30 year mortgage 7.7%, refinance 8.08%
Who's able to buy apart from cash buyers?

Still, prices do not show much of a decline (yet).
https://www.investopedia.com/mortgage-rates-jump-to-20-year-high-7557902

It still baffles me that people can afford to keep their houses with everything that's going on.. Either prices have to decline or things will go belly up very soon.

People with 2.75-4% mortgages are hanging on due to relatively low monthlies, unless their tax bill skyrocketed.

And they are locked in with nowhere to go, used to be you used your properties as a stepping stone but not anymore.

Its funny that I keep hearing people that own and have a low rate praising the market inflating their tax rate. They no know math.

It already is doing something.

So many guys (and gal) want "stable" and we are kind of doing stable right now, even though we already should know and appreciate that overall we cannot expect bitcoin to be stable in longer time-frames, and BTC prices can move in either direction, and rapidly.. .. so shouldn't we be happy/content/accepting with any kind of "stable" that we are currently experiencing for however, long that such stable might last?

I think you have been missing the point of these posts. Tongue
*Its a facetious way of predicting the bart.

1992  rate was 7.875% 30 years

We paid it off in 7 years. I quit smoking in 1996 so at that time 25 a week for smokes went to pay mortgage down. Homes were cheap in 1992 compared to now.

The mortgage was not too high. So 125 a month x 12 = 1500 a year extra for the mortgage. NJ lets you pay it down without penalty. Our house is over 500k now a nice jump from 144k in 1992.

No that's not nice, its a cost of living increase that is insidious as you pay more in taxes yet if you sell you cannot go anywhere else cheaper.

Its a massive scam nationwide to fleece the middle class.

Whats worse is its our tax money that was used to buy all our property values up for the benefit of the hedge funds.

Before I click on the source I'm like "well that's obviously ChatGPT blah blah blah." ... click, "yup, no surprise, lol."
Be interested to know your prompt though I know what words/names were obviously included in it.

that's literally the joke. Wink

Bitcoin over $30K ??

Oh no, the whales can't have that going on for long.

No no no.

Time to Bart smack it back down in 3...2...1...
