3  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if MT Gox goes under? on: January 26, 2014, 05:07:42 AM
If Gox goes under I'll suck a cock.

Are you sure you want to put that out there? You very well may end up eating your words here (or sucking in this case). Quoting for future reference.

I'll give you 0.1 BTC to delete all evidence you ever quoted it.

5  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [BEWARE] The user "Bono" is a scammer. Do NOT trust! on: January 20, 2014, 05:31:23 AM
Ok,

Can someone please do something with this scammer? Can he be banned or something? Fucker just made me lose my goddamn appetite.

If you must know, those are [real] brownies made to look like horseshit for Halloween. Took the picture myself.

Just kidding, I only wanted to make you look again.
6  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [BEWARE] The user "Bono" is a scammer. Do NOT trust! on: January 19, 2014, 05:08:12 PM
I guess that's true, but I don't think anybody that good with computers is going to be wasting their otherwise valuable time tracking down my constantly-changing IP and putting a yabascreep bug on the background of xnxx.com

7  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [BEWARE] The user "Bono" is a scammer. Do NOT trust! on: January 18, 2014, 06:48:48 PM
You're kidding right? Someone who knows what to do can track what sites you visit, then hack into those website and editing the javascript. Then, they embed a keylogger into the code, so whenever you enter the site, it will infect your computer. Either that, or they can DDoS you until the sun burns out. Or, call the cops and they will call your ISP for your address. If you really don't think IP can be used for anything dangerous, go on a government site and say you're a terrorist that have placed explosives all over NYC and see how fast the feds show up at your door. You really have no brains do you?  Undecided

Can it be used to trace someone to a very general location? Yes.

Can it be used to hack OTHER sites you visit? No.

Can I be DDOS'd? No, because even a monkey knows you can change your IP address literally overnight  (given they aren't ALREADY using a proxy or TOR or something), even if it's static.

As far as I'm concerned I'm still innocent; I'm just having a little fun before they decide to ban me.

Edit:

Any pic requests?

Doesnt anybody have a link to older thread on which this was adressed?

There isn't a whole lot that can be done when someone has your IP.

There are maybe 3 people on Earth smart enough to actually be dangerous with someone else's public facing IP... me, Batman, and he who shall not be named.

(This was the picture, by the way)

That doesnt answer my question, i wanna hold it there in fiat and wait for a nice btc price, just for "in case of a massive dip" so i can catch it.

There was a thread about the slovenian bank situation here somewhere, cant find it nonetheless.

Right... so you use a Slovenian bank but will trust a bunch of greedy anonymous fucks to give you advice on how to deal with it.

I'll see you at the soup kitchen. I'll be volunteering, of course.

Yeah dipshit Bono basically proved himself to be a scammer. He tried to accuse chairforce1 of being the real scammer, but if that were the case, why would chairforce1 send LTC first? I mean who the fuck scams by sending their coins out first?

What you want is below.
What's fucked up isn't that you're a scammer, what's really fucked up is that you know where to find that picture.

Why didn't you quote my entire post?
Because I didn't need to?

Then how will the world know what picture you're referring to when you say "that picture?"

Really it's inconsiderate to future generations.

EDIT: This is the picture, just to be clear.

If I ever had that amount of money just laying around, I'd store it in Bitcoins anyway.

You can move the BTC to any other exchange or online wallet in seconds, no matter what's going on in your country. I know you want to save the fiat in case you can get a better deal, but long-term holders never lose.

very nice & motivating information. Thanks.

Is that you on your avatar? Smiley

Yes an older photo Smiley

Pretty sure that photo is older than the internet.

I've seen it too many times - calling BS on it being yours.

This user is currently ignored.

You say the same thing in every thread.  Huh

18  Economy / Economics / Re: Does bitcoin foster economic growth or stagnation? on: January 08, 2014, 12:25:29 PM
You are treating Bitcoin like it's a standalone economy/currency. If anything it's there to compliment the dollar, euro, yn, or whatever. It's never going to replace these currencies worldwide, like some of the paranoid libertarians here like to preach. But it's a great alternative.

So yes, BTC's value compared to other currencies rises, but you could also say that about the value of a nice house in a growing part of town, or any other investment. The difference is you can't trade 0.3 of your house for an Xbox.

bitpop, your story makes me cringe. You should be a millionaire several times over by now.

Have a tip, you wretched thing. Hopefully it's worth $10k someday.

20  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [BEWARE] The user "Bono" is a scammer. Do NOT trust! on: January 07, 2014, 03:36:03 PM

Either way I hope you all feel like asses.

Ta-dah! That's all you had to do! You made this situation escalate to this point because you didn't think it was necessary to provide proof. Now that you have, the tables are turned. Wasn't that much easier than having to explain yourself over and over?

No, I don't feel like an ass. But you've acted like one throughout this ordeal.
