People seriously need to chill out. This is a good coin and we have a decent lead dev. You may be mad because you risked money but that was your choice and some of you haven't been a help. Why do you linger? Another thing Collegestudent, you're a 17 year old kid you know little if anything about money or investments. Stop trying to be a big dog or cause insurrection. This is a solid coin and i'm sure that if we give Carsen the space he needs without being all up in arms like hyper obsessed girls things will get done.
It's you guys that are destroying this coin not him. Now sit down and enjoy the ride or sell out and get out but stop the shit either way.

People it's still a little over four days to the deadline of may 24th for the white paper. There is no need for a community take over at this point.
Some of you seem to have this notion that launching a coin is easy and that there is no work involved like it only takes five minutes and you're done.
I will tell you from experience that it's not as easy as that.

This project was abandoned by the original developer leaving IPO investors and miners holding the bag on a stuck blockchain
Yarkol and myself felt it more a noble deed to rescue this coin than start a new one. I have been a part of a few rescue efforts. I feel this is a much Better thing than trolling people over their losses. This coin was heavily Premined and had a large IPO. This project was taken on as a learning experience and to help relieve the losses those who invested both time and money. We will be as transparent as possible and hope to bring good things to the future of this coin and community that may grow around it...

I have however shown where others have been working on the same tech as to say it's not impossible a feat.and by a large investor stepping in saying hey i'll foot the bill if you can make it so should show that this coin has mega potential. what liberty had a 2BTC bounty plus we already have another hired dev working on zerocoin, so my best guess is there are more than a couple keyboards being pounded on as we speak to get this done. |

I loathe to belabor the point, but please think rationally about this. If you are able to, look at the github for this coin and judge for yourself, please do so. Thus far, the so called Zerocoin integration is no further along than merely including the libzerocoin files in the project. This means that DRM is starting literally from square one. Assuming a dev actually has been hired, he has a mountain the size of Everest to climb, and the odds aren't very good. There are many other well supported coins that are also after the Zerocoin prize, as well as several competing coin mixing technologies that achieve similar anonymity that are further along than we are.
None of this means DRM can't still prosper, but it does mean the whole Zerocoin thing is a charade. If you are valuing this coin based on the hope that Zerocoin will materialize on the 24th, you may want to rethink the position.
One point about chinese developers and the chinese in general, I am an American of chinese descent and at one time was the director of off-shore operations for a software development company here in Seattle that out sources to China. They are certainly very capable and well educated as developers, but by no means superhuman. You may think $1200 USD would mean a lot to a developer in China because the exchange rate is approximately 6 CNY : 1 USD, but that is simply not the case. The Chinese government artificially manipulates their currency to be weak against the USD in order to bolster exports, but domestically, the consumer price index reflects otherwise. The bottom line is $1200 USD is a nice start, but not nearly enough for a project of this caliber.

I've said it once I will say it again if you can't wait then don't and move on, no more doubts here.
