YarkoL, for a new version, could you please increment some version number, so that we know who is running the newer code?

The fact that I neglected to increment the version number was certainly an overslight for my part, and I'm very sorry about that.

That will be amended in due time, but I've been having trouble building Windows wallet with my system. I need to update my
toolchain and will do so when I have time, probably at the end of this week.

At the same time we could start thinking about if we want to add some new features to the coin to allow it to get some air beneath
its wings. Lovecoin is now a community effort so all of your input counts.

- do we want to continue with proof of work? What about replacing Scrypt (security risk now because of new asics) with a new GPU-friendly algo

- Pure PoS? New reward structure?

-  How about something innovative/exciting like Proof Of Transaction a la Fluttercoin

Lovecoindev, please simply provide the longest chain at the hardcoded IP. Thanks.

I couldn't find any hardcoded ip's in source.
Going to get VPS for this purpose.

let's go pure proof of stake, it will make it a much rarer coin and being that most the ipo was dumped on day one it will make the value climb faster
we should start a new thread and build a new website get a mac wallet built as well...
anyway i have a few ideas of how to market the coin but we need to repair it and get some of the exchanges back on board...
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [AC] Official Asia Coin Revival | Hard Fork and Voiding Pre-Mine on: May 06, 2014, 09:44:08 AM
i am on here...
i have 100k asia but when i run the wallet i got this error:
http://prntscr.com/3goibb
any idea?

if you're on windows go to start in the search bar type

%appdata%
click roaming then asiacoin
delete everything in that folder except wallet.dat
DO NOT DELETE wallet.dat (this is where your coin data lives)
then relaunch your wallet it will the retrieve the blockchain and re-sync
hope this helps
244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]LOVEcoin – POW+POS | 5 Exchanges | Games | On Multipool on: May 06, 2014, 01:08:52 AM
it appears that after block 10,000 this coin went 100% proof of stake
as there are no pools supporting it and all new coin generation is coming from stake
if we could get the exchanges back on board, i know polinex has frozen it's market...
with only 5 million coins and such a low stake love coin might find itself in higher demand...
245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [AC] AsiaCoin Reverse-Scam | Hard Fork and Patch on: May 05, 2014, 01:40:43 AM
don't change the interest rate
246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [AC] AsiaCoin Reverse-Scam | Hard Fork and Patch on: May 05, 2014, 01:19:59 AM
What about:

[ANN] [AC] Official AsiaCoin Revival | Hard Fork and Patch to Rectify Pre-Mine

Shall I set this? Ideas?
this is better  Grin
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [AC] AsiaCoin Reverse-Scam | Hard Fork and Patch on: May 05, 2014, 12:54:28 AM
You should call that thread

AsiaCoin Official Fork or something more classy  Wink
+1

the word scam is inappropriate in the thread tite
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [AC] AsiaCoin Reverse-Scam on: May 05, 2014, 12:14:48 AM
Maybe best to call the thread "hard fork and patched", Community takeover or something.

Because that's essentially what we'd be doing, and everyone would need to download/sync the patch.
+1
much better idea for a title

Asiacoin Community takeover
249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]AsiaCoin v2 [AC2] - IMPORTANT NOTICE on: May 04, 2014, 11:29:10 PM
I would  try to lead a team but i am not a coder...
250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]AsiaCoin v2 [AC2] - IMPORTANT NOTICE on: May 04, 2014, 09:36:07 PM
IMPORTANT UPDATE

we got a lot of messages today regarding this project and seems that a lot of AC bagholder
don't want to see a new coin. Most of the AC community wants the old sources to be fixed
and patched. Therefore we are going to stop our work on ACv2.

some reasons:
  • We will never publish a release with the original AC scamwallet as codebase
  • We will not risk users to lose potential 30 million AC which were dumped
  • we don't know whats still hidden in the sources
  • big bagholders and active AC community-members don't want this

we are sorry to anounce this, but as you know, there is big responsibilty linked with
such a project. and in this case we won't take responsibility over other peoples money.

we wish you good luck!

this is sad news Sad
i am all for a new coin, with a new name...
i understand you not wanting to be attached to the old code completely though i wouldn't want to either

Founder of AsiaCoin's face Smiley  Dallas Solomon Urban, good fella! Love AsiaCoin.

 Cheesy

lmfao It's so funny some of you guys think I'm DEV. I'm nowhere close, I've been in the crypto game about two weeks now lol
that's not the dev
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]AsiaCoin v2 [AC2] - PoS on: May 04, 2014, 03:29:16 PM
So based off of 30 million dumped.  This guy potentially made 6000 btc off of us?  Ehhh.
the estimate is around $140,000
253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]AsiaCoin v2 [AC2] - PoS on: May 04, 2014, 03:12:37 PM
What will you do if people show up with more than 160Million coins (in the community i mean)?
300Million just got dumped onto the exchanges as I understand it.
you understand wrong and have been misinformed
254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]AsiaCoin v2 [AC2] - PoS on: May 04, 2014, 03:11:50 PM
Goldmann you have my full support! Let's make history

Yeah, let's make a history, right? NO. You have bought AC when it was down from panic selling people, laughing them how noobish they are. Now you are a big AC bag holder who wants to dump your panic-bought AC on other unsuspecting people, who will buy this shit from you. I say stay away from this scam.

Self-moderated thread too. Let's see if your post stands.
try saying something bad about cinni in cinni thread and see how long it stays
255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AC]AsiaCoin - Relaunch on: May 04, 2014, 08:39:57 AM
I have 100k ac on mintpal. DID I LOST THIS EVERYTHING or I can do something with it? OR I DONT HAVE TO DO ANYTHING?
you can withdraw them...
other wise yeah ac is kind of up a creek at the moment
256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AC]AsiaCoin - Relaunch on: May 04, 2014, 08:21:19 AM
just a thought. wouldn't it be possible for us as a community to start a whole different coin that we could do a trade for the ac with (obviously without the added 3billion) That's a 100% proof of stake with some of the same parameters. There has to be some reasonable solution to this...
257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AC]AsiaCoin - Relaunch on: May 03, 2014, 07:21:10 PM
I don't feel i deserve a thanks. we weren't trying to start a fire. but truth is truth.
also i didn't dump my coins i still hold all i mined. so i can say i didn't profit  off of others losses here
i can only hope that there was an honest oversight or that there was some bug in the code that was making a false report.
however i am a realist and have say I really don't know what to believe here
and as i said before we all make our own choices here and cryptoland is not the most friendly place
always approach your investments with caution and never risk more than you can afford to lose
258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AC]AsiaCoin - Relaunch on: May 03, 2014, 06:59:47 PM
the saddest part is this coin was really about to build a real active community that is lacking in most. without them who knows how long this might have gone unnoticed for
For now it would be better choice, then making all this panic, and ppl loosing money, it would be 2k buy now.  Huh
we found it on accident. we weren't hunting for a flaw.  we wanted a better block explorer and a rich list when we noticed it was reporting what appeared to be an error
