42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.5 (Windows/Linux) on: June 24, 2017, 06:53:12 AM
Something I really dislike about your miner Claymore is the fact that if I'm dual mining ETC, when DevFee starts I lose another 30-40 seconds because it needs to swap to a different DAG and then after DevFee ends it changes again to a different DAG (132 on ETC 130 on ETH).

I really, really dislike it about your miner.

Just set an ETC pool for your devfee if mining ETC for christ sake, I understand you do a good job with your miners (you also make an awful lot of money, but it's cool anyway, it's deserved), but that's a long way from 1-2%, it's much closer to around 5% of lost hashrate each our with this dag swapping.

+1 i'm also loosing speed because of this

44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why is bitmain selling its new gear at cary low prices? on: April 12, 2017, 06:42:33 AM
Space

please  give your best ideas on this.

The current numbers I used are 5% per jump.
jumps come fast for ltc  so 5%  is a high number to use.

This seems to be a market shifting move. On their part.

My tin foil hat theory is that they are going to start cranking these out every 2-3 months and its going to drive difficulty sky high which will make these prices that seem crazy low now, more sensible later. Alternatively they may be trying to corner market and shut out Innosilicon by undercutting to drive business, maybe these first offerings are a loss leader to drive attention.

Another alternative is, they may be trying to flood the market with LTC mining hardware to stop Segwit as I believe they are currently against that.

If Segwit is successful on LTC it's going to drive a huge argument for it to be activated on BTC Chain and Bitmain is against that by itself as they have a specific agreement where they are willing to move forward with Segwit.

Yep  that bold  line is my guess.

The recent news and leaked communication about why Bitmain is agains Segwit for me is the answer and this market move is as ugly as possible and we should not fall with that but unfortunately most miners look only for profit and don't care for the development of technologies, they look only for ROI. And they will fall for that and buy the miners no matter what we talk. Like stated in the leaked email Bitmain have crippled down all their miners in terms of power efficiency and speed - the same ones in their hands produce 30% more speed with 30% less power consumption, what else can I say.

i fix all issues (also in node code too) and pool works very well now.
Komodo daemon in 2x faster now, nice work jl777!

i add port 6666 for big gpus rigs with max diff(16)
( !! NOT USE ZCASH ADDRESS to T-ADDRESS AND Z_ADDRESS !! )

HOW TO CONNECT
To mine KMD just use any ZCASH (EquiHash) miner with komodo address
example : ZecMiner64.exe -zpool komodominingpool.com:5555 -zwal komodo_address -zpsw x -allpools 1 ( Auto VarDiff - suitable for CPU and GPU )
example : ZecMiner64.exe -zpool komodominingpool.com:6666 -zwal komodo_address -zpsw x -allpools 1 (Max VarDiff - suitable for big GPUs RIG )

Happy mining komodo users
Cheers

When should we expect payouts ? also i'm missing statistics in the pool for recent blocks, projected payout based on shares and all info related to payments.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Pcie 1 to 3 Port 1X Switch Multiplier HUB Riser. Which motherboard works. on: March 16, 2017, 04:20:24 PM
I'm curious if this custom solution will work with 8GB cards, or only with 4GB cards?

Its a custom solution that would work with ANY card, could be future Vega 12GB cards as well.

Yes there is no theoretical limit to what my solution will work with, should be fine with Nvidia cards as well. I am specifically testing with a mix of 470s/480s with 4/8GB

when can we expect more details Smiley My F5 button is almost dead. Big investors are waiting here Smiley

May I ask which (and how many) mobos each rig have?

One each

sorry for the not related to topic question - what model is the mobo and those fans in front, are they throw air outside the case or throwing inside ?

Msi Z97 gaming 5.

Those fans are on the front pulling air inside.

how did you included the 8th GPU ? 1->3 riser ?

Hi,

Please tell me if this looks right? i dont understand if it means its fine and its doing something.
I do see that the speed has gradually increased so this is good?

Here is my screen shot of SGMINER , please tell me?

Thanks

is it really fucking necessary to create for your every stupid question, a new thread?
don't have a words...

telling you - for 30min you have not produce even a single share, if it's solo then it's ok, otherwise it's not ok so you are not doing anything.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: baikalminer.com or www.baikalminer.com 2 sites? on: March 01, 2017, 02:34:55 PM
So I wanted to buy the baikal ASIC miner to mine Dash, but I don't think I can really trust this site/company because they have 2 identical sites with the same URL... wtf?!
Try typing baikalminer.com and www.baikalminer.com 2 different sites and you get what I'm saying. Wherein the 1st link I can't even create an account to buy the miner but in the 2nd I can't buy the miner without even creating an account.
This seems pretty sketchy to me...
Any feedback from this/these sites?

the first one is their old site, the new one where you should order is http://www.baikalminer.com/.

But I can't order from that site since It won't let me login or create a new account.

Successfully registered from the site http://www.baikalminer.com/register.asp?action=yes with Chrome. Don't know what is your problem.

54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Pcie 1 to 3 Port 1X Switch Multiplier HUB Riser. Which motherboard works. on: February 19, 2017, 05:37:31 PM
People don't want to reveal the secret to getting more than 7 gpus working. It gives them an edge that they don't want to share.  I remember reading that the motherboard's bios needs to be modded for 8+ to work.

For what it's worth,  I had a go at 8 and 9 gpus on an MSI Z87.  Board would boot woth 8 but only detect 7. With 9, the board just wouldn't boot.

i think win10 works with 8gpu without any mods - just rumor, need to confirm.

I think it would work with 8, but the issue is getting the motherboard to work with 8.

the custom board of pandaminer support them, however it's quite expensive (260$) and need mobile GPUs..

I'm also interested if this works with H81 PRO BTC board because I have such but missing the multiplier.

Guys what would you say for trading BTC/USD pair ? Does it make sense ? Have you tried ?
I'm pretty sure there is no BTC/USD pair, although there is USDT which is USD "tethered" which is an asset on poloniex and you can be allowed to do USDT/BTC, it is useful to use if you think the price of bitcoin will drop and don twant to use that on altcoin and you could do USDT/ETH or if you think the price of Bitcoin would rise you could do USDT/BTC aswell.

Well there is USDT/BTC pair and it's a real asset, i'm not sure if I get right your point...

Updated statistics using the stop-loss strategy. Courtesy of FrilledShark's GUNBOT Profit Calculator

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1BdmSXq92Fs_78QVk-cCSXABLhIy55-ia59nOGNoX9iU/pubhtml

Can you explain in little details what to watch for in this calculator. For example it project some earning but i'm not able to understand with how much BTC put for trading.
Could you explain it with more details? (I tried to explain it below)

The spreadsheet currently uses the trade history, which you can export from Poloniex. This is limited, in that you can only see what trades consist of, but not the state of the account.

If you want to know how many Bitcoins @Gunthar placed in the bot, you would have to ask him yourself.
If you buy the spreadsheet and requests a page to analyse the deposit and withdrawal history, I could implement it. It would make me able to automatically calculate the percentage earnings, relative to the money deposited. (After the most recent deposit/withdraw.)

This also goes for other functions. If you buy the spreadsheet, I will implement a feature of your choice. If you don't request a feature, I will implement the most requested feature by the people looking into buying the spreadsheet.

The only things I am limited towards are closed trades and closing price of the market on a specific date. (There might be more, but I don't search for them)

I hope this answers your questions.

Thanks for the explanation, not really answered my questions because I was with intention that this spreadsheet is calculating what is most profitable to trade with the bot,  not that it calculates what is your profit based on your trades. I have my own excel which I use for trade history and so on. Thanks anyway.
