81  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Anyone heard of Winxtrade.com? Is it a scam? on: March 09, 2021, 08:39:42 PM
I made an account after seeing some advertisement on a Discord server about sign-up bonuses, but now they're asking for an additional deposit of at least 0.01 BTC for "external wallet verification."

Asking for an additional deposit is not a good sign and i will suggest you to research properly before putting your name to the victim list.

Will you please provide more details about the website?

To get more information you can visit this sections pinned post area and don't forget to archive the current website. If you are planning to trade then you have plenty of trusted exchange options in your hand. Do not run after welcome bonuses or something similar which may increase the chance of getting scammed.

83  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: STEX platform is really a scam ? read what happened to me please ? on: March 09, 2021, 08:09:42 PM
Why isn't anyone talking about the ICO they did with "STE" coins that were supposed to share the trading fees with the early investors.  I bought some of these back in 2017 and it went to zero.  It looks like they rebranded from 50x exchange and moved to this new STEX exchange while keeping all the ICO investments with no value rendered.  Anyone else invested in this ICO?
If you think that the same team is working behind both project then you can share more information about previous and new one. We have seen so many cases like that where same ICO platforms owners were involved with multiple projects. In this kind of stages they launch the same project with different view to attract investors.

You can check their telegram channel (if available)  which may help you to know actually what they did or doing now.
84  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2021-03-03 BBG - Bitcoin Jumps Above $50,000 in Recovery from Last Week’s Rout on: March 09, 2021, 08:02:19 PM
Shall we buy the enthusiasm of John Wu, president of blockchain technology firm Ava Labs, who said that he is hopeful the new Biden administration will help foster innovation in blockchains, cryptocurrencies and digital assets, instead of stifling it? I am not sure about that, sorry. Keeping my eyes wide shut for warning signs.
Bitcoin worldwide popularity is getting higher day by day and in a situation like this a big portion of its price growth depends on current usera and upcoming investors rather than any countries positive vibe about bitcoin. Definitely bitcoin will touch its next all time high but it doesn’t mean that its completely depending on any specific countries government decision. Not only USA but also many middle earn countries are planning to use blockchain in the future but i can't say exactly what will be the instant result on that moment.

No way to deny that bitcoin worldwide community is much bigger and stronger than the past. In every single day new crypto lovers are joining the community for their own purpose where they are playing the actual role for bitcoin recent price pump.
85  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Centurio.space - Ponzi scheme on: March 09, 2021, 07:35:41 PM
one correction, he talking about a deposit to his account, not withdrawal.
I guess there is no problem to deposit money there. They will accept all incoming transaction, the question is how realistic it is to get money out of there.
Oh yeah...How did i missed that part!

Thank you for pointing that and its really surprising to see someone is trusting a money stealing ponzi project after successful deposit of 1$. I will suggest every single newbies of this forum to keep enough distance from this project which is nothing but a clear trap.
86  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Betnomi SCAM on: March 09, 2021, 07:08:01 PM
Is there any update about this case against Betnomi? What about the many other complaints?
Do you have any accusation against them or just trying to bump this topic?

Scam accusation against gambling platforms is nothing new and in most cases it come from the frustration of lossing bet. OP have already got proper guidelines and now its his turn to follow or not. Making a accusations doesn’t make sense if you can't provide enough evidences.
87  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Centurio.space - Ponzi scheme on: March 09, 2021, 07:01:41 PM
I am not affiliated with this site / project.
I do not make messages for the timepass.
I don't have to prove my innocence.
I did not open a topic for this project, the TC must provide the exact information.
I am not asking to believe, but simply posting confirmation of the project's solvency.
Interested parties can find information about this project themselves, for example here: https://hyiplogs.com/project/centurio.space/
Thank.
I wanna let you know that you are not asking to believe but smartly encouraging newbies to believe your self made story. Sorry to say that your are in the wrong place and obviously wasting your time by doing that.

If you think that someone will believe your 1$ successful withdrawal story then you are living in mars not in earth.
88  Economy / Reputation / Re: TecShare - Farewell my friend. on: March 09, 2021, 07:41:32 AM
RIP...TECSHARE. Its true that you will not get back to this forum again but your footprints will be remain here. As i always say that bitcointalk is like a family to us and we lost another member from our family. No doubt that forum member will miss you and your activity.

Thank you MudDev for feeling it necessary to share the information with us.

90  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: List of fake wallets on Google Play, 2 active at the moment! on: March 07, 2021, 02:40:36 PM
Nope, that fake Exodus wallet hasn't been spotted here for now so I added it to the list, and of course reported it too.

When I look at the list of so far reported wallets, basically 1/3 is Exodus. I don't know why is Exodus such a go-to wallet among scammers, do people really use it that much so scammers are going for the most popular android wallet? I personally never used it, and neither did any of my friends I really had no idea that Exodus is that popular.
I have seen multiple websites phishing sites who were spreading lies by using the name "Exodus". You will get a good number of exodus based fake telegram channels where these scammers continuously add people from other groups. Having multiple fake Exodus wallet in Playstore indicate that scammers are still making money by using this and a good number of crypto users have knowledge about exodus.

Note: I ham gonna submit report against this fake app and hopefully Playstore authority will take appropriate action. .
91  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2021-02-26 Microstrategy’s Appetite for Bitcoin remains Unchanged on: March 02, 2021, 05:56:17 PM
MicroStrategy revealed that they are going to buy an additional US$690 million worth of Bitcoin even after BTC crossed the all-time high (ATH) of US$50,000. The company’s CEO, Michael Saylor, said that his company intends to raise an additional US$690 million in convertible bonds to buy Bitcoin.
Its simple that their thrust will increase after getting good return from their previous investment. They have already purchased a good amount of bitcoin and if i am not making any mistake then still they are holding their coins. After them more new companies followed them and joined the bitcoin community by making their investment. This is the actual reason of bitcoin recent price pump and it will remain same IMO. In upcoming days we will see lot more companies like them and maybe some of them already made their investment but not sharing with press.

I think we just know about short list of them where list can be get longer if everyone publish information about secret investment in bitcoin.
92  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] DONT DEAL WITH @AWSACTIVATE on: March 02, 2021, 05:47:38 PM
Taking service from newbies is always risky and your story is another clear example of that. Same like others i always suggest everyone to use trusted escrow service which may costs some dollars from your pocket but you will not get scammed like this. Unfortunately most newbies make the same mistake and some of them try to save some money just by ignoring escrow service.

93  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: People die from heart attack when they hit the jackpot. on: March 02, 2021, 05:40:42 PM
So which one do you prefer? (1) Die rich or (2) live poor? This is binary (no cheating).
Its not like that people financial conditions get better just through winning jackpots or lottery and your submitted options are only applicable for real life situation. Getting or planning to be rich though playing bets and winning jackpots is not a good option and i hope others will be agree with me.

After reading this topic it seems to me that for some gamblers platform can use this ; "Jackpot is injurious to health, its not for cardiac patients."... Lol.
94  Economy / Reputation / Re: account hacked please banned permanently on: March 02, 2021, 05:29:46 PM
What does mean by involved with hacking? Do you mean these accounts are related to any type of hack or you mean these accounts are hacked? Whatever your beliefs there should be more and appropriate reasons to tag them. Simply change the password at the same time doesn't mean all accounts are hacked or related to hacking. So please describe briefly why do you believe that accounts should get a tag.
After checking OP's trust page i got that his/her account was hacked and multiple tag with proper reference is visible there. It looks really surprising that one hacked account is putting accusations on some other accounts and claiming that these accounts were hacked.

How did he/she know that? Is there any connection between him/her or have personal issues. Its the main fact here. Lets wait for his explanation.
95  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lowering the electricity bill by mining cryptocurrency on: March 02, 2021, 05:21:25 PM
Here's an interesting angle to the bitcoin power consumption debate. Utilizing mining rigs to generate heat to offset winter warming costs.

To implement effectively requires DIY modification of ducting to mining rigs and may not be for everyone. On the surface it seems like something that could be effective to mitigate costs and electricity consumption of mining.

Cold regions like iceland and russia are investing heavily in data centers using their cold climates to cool servers naturally without additional cost. Perhaps there is an opportunity for smaller miners in cold regions to do something similar via leveraging useful heat produced by mining rigs?
It may be applicable for winter centered countries but not for all. Countries like Canada, Iceland or Russia can take the advantage of mining rigs temperature but its not gonna work for Asian region. As far as i know maintaining mining farms in this region is comparatively expensive and they spend a big amount of money after temperature control. Even electricity cost is also higher there and most mining farms try all cooling technology for their equipment safety.
96  Economy / Reputation / Re: account hacked please banned permanently on: March 02, 2021, 05:00:01 PM
And more precisely all of them happened in the 10 minutes time interval on the same day which is kind of suspicious.

Thats interesting... Changing three accounts password together in ten minutes interval is definitely a warning sign here. I have also checked thread creators profile and he/she got tagged due to similar reason.

Take a look here; https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=20577
97  Economy / Reputation / Re: account hacked please banned permanently on: March 02, 2021, 04:20:04 PM
Royse777 have already given you best suggestion about your topic. Sorry to say that you have just added some profile links on your thread and want to se their account get ban. Same like previous poster i will suggest you to provide more evidences from your side which will prove that you are telling right about all three account.

Before creating this you may forgot to check your own trust page. I am clearly seeing you woke up from a long period of inactivity. Any explanation?

Actually they were looking for another domain looks similar like "Hedgefund" to make crypto user fool and interesting to see that they are running ponzi platform with this name. After seeing their unrealistic plans no need to research more to know what is their real intention.

Flag supported from my end and scammer profile will be tagged shortly.
99  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FAKE TESLA ICO on: March 02, 2021, 04:01:03 PM
Its interesting to see that after applying all the way of stealing peoples money now they are directly using the word Tesla on their domains,,huh. If you just take a screenshot and retweet on Elon's tweet i believe he will definitely make some fun about this fake project. We have so seen many fake giveaways in the past where these scammers used Elon musk's name and now its directly "Tesla". This time these scammers are so unlucky that they haven't got the exact domain of "Teslacoin". More or less many crypto user believe that Elon musk will launch Tesla coin in the future and if i am not wrong then this specific group is trying to take that advantage.

Anyway, You did a good job by making this early post just after getting email from them. Follow the proper scam report format from this boards pinned post area and edit your thread according to that.

I will suggest you to add their official website and telegram link on your thread which will help thread visitors to take a faster visit on the website.

Don't forget to archive their website before they erase anything from their frontend. Still i am not sure about this project but i am gonna take a look when get back to my desk.
