Hey all, Dr. Bob is a bit under the weather, but he will be back soon. In the mean time, I would like to get the discussion going a bit. With gamerscoin going mainstream, we can see a lot of new people interested in the coin and a lot of serious investors helping him out to further develop it. Progressing the coin, it is pretty clear that some people would like to give the coin a clear purpose, and with that a clearer name. As we're moving toward a coin that can function as a ingame credit and a general gamecoin, perhaps a more specific name is better. What do you guys think? Should we for instance go for GaMe Credits (GMC)?

I can't deposit coins there.. FRY doesn't show up in the deposit wallets, can you check? Strange. I sent them a message about it. Hope it will be there soon. Any news from BTC-Market.org about allowing me to deposit FRY? No, I'll send them another message Okay, thank you. Could you let us know as soon as you got a reply? Of course

It's also critical the devs make weekly updates here else the volumes will drop and the coin will be delisted!
The dev made a long post, but was deleted by bitcointalk crash. He will post update soon.

Did anyone else see it. X11joe said he was poised to rewrite the entire code base?
' hrm. Did that post disappear with the bitcointalk downtime?

Future of Quarkbar
It is nice to see some people are putting up sales support for Quarkbar on Allcoin.
I was wondering who still is following our developments and if you want us to continue our effort. To make it easy for everybody, I just put up a poll where you can vote if you want us to continue our work on the coin. From the amount of responses, we can see if the community is still there.

can we make the price go up already
I am already pretty amazed by the rise. Somebody is keep in price down by dumping large amounts. It's good to see the price is still pretty stable dispute that. :-)

Jeez, rip CANN. I thought it was going to pump again, but apparently they didn't even bother anymore. Thank God I sold all.
It has been pretty stable for a week now, so the last thing we want is another pump. I think around is a nice level for the upcoming months. The project is still growing and it will take time to reach its fruition. The current low price gives people the option to still invest.

interesting really so 90% of reject is no so bad due to the very low diff right ? Bingo :-)

Just a reminder for you guys, Robert (Foldingcoin) lives in the USA, where it is far past bedtime now (5AM). His dedication is admirable. I'm on a unique schedule now, 11am - 4am That way I am up for anyone around the world if needed, and I still have time to work with the other FLDC devs after they get off work around 7pm my time. So 4am is like midnight to me now I figure this is the best schedule to be on to be able to be up for anyone around the world, and I get the feeling that i'm sleeping in even though i'm not, tricking the brain lol

Is xmarket ever going to happen or not? simple question really. I think people would be willing to wait a few months if that what it takes. Bitcoin is dying as it has no real world function. xcash has massive promise and could fill the the void when bitcoin implodes (and it will for sure). Huge opportunities ahead for blockchain technology and DACs. The bitcoin experiment is over, what next xcash?
We will not see xmarket. We need dev core. As far as I know, it is postponed. Postponed is fine. How about dev steps in and explains what the challenges are. I'm a technologist so I'm interested. I haven't coded other than scripting for a few years but I understand the mechanics of it all. Is it purely a matter of time or is it not possible to integrate the block chain. What about a new fork? Just let is know what's going on else it will die. I'll ask him. What I know is that the issue lies in integrating it with the blockchain.

i dont understand i have 90 % of reject in solo mining my conf file rpcuser=frycoinuser rpcpassword=gamers rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 rpcport=55900 listen=1 daemon=1 server=1 i configure cgwatcher with the same info i really don t understand This is due to the Pulse algorithm that was programmed for Quarkbar. In this faq, I hope all your questions are answered: PULSE FAQ: What is Pulse? Pulse is a revolutionary way of block creation that adjusts the speed of new blocks to the amount of transactions. When there are no transactions or less than 10QB a block is created every 300 seconds. When more than 10QB is sent, a special TX block is created within 30 seconds. This makes it possible to use most newly created blocks to keep the chain synched and sent transactions superfast!
How does the difficulty work? Pulse generally spoken adds another layer of difficulty adjustment besides the well known difficulty-index of the merkle-root.
How much network power does it need? Pulse ultimately needs 10kh at it's lowest point (where we are now). We will soon launch a difficulty patch that will give it an upthrust and fix the difficulty at about 10.x or 11.x (something close to what it used to be).
What about the difficulty adjustment If the network regresses and less power is at disposal, the difficulty will be automatically lowered again. The difficulty will lower faster than it will rise. That's why there'.s more pressure downwards. This is to avoid having hard blocks and small miners that can't take it.
What about the Rejects? These are a natural part of mining Quarkbar. The projection is that it will be 25% of what is being actively used, so 75% rejects due to Pulse. This means that the difficulty is lower than it should to fix the spacing.

Hello Community and Developers,
I have been hired by an independent Investor to liaise with Community Members, other Investors, Developers, and Contract Workers to guarantee GMC reaches full potential. My employer has equipped me with significant resources to make this happen. The vision as relayed, is to sponsor modification of existing games to accept GMC as game credits. Gamers will be able to take their credits to other games, trade them for game items, and use them to gamble on spectator eSports. My role is to make this vision become reality.
A Technical Consultant has been hired to review the configuration of the GMC Block Chain to ensure it is optimized for this purpose, his findings will be published on 2015 01 22.
My employer wishes me to engage the Community in respect to a change of branding, before relaunching the Currency to a broader audience.
Please will those involved message me here to make introductions and organize our endeavour. I can be contacted on weekdays throughout the EST working day. We also need a public communication channel, if one does not exist.
Good to see you taking the lead in this!

So how much will be distributed and when? With the halving of the coin reward every 1000 days, I took it upon myself to get a bit of an idea of where we are distribution-wise and what we can expect. This is the current halving schedule: TOKENS WILL BE DISTRIBUTED ACCORDING TO A HALF-LIFE SCHEDULE Once 500,000,000 FLDC are distributed, change the daily distribution to 250,000 FLDC Once 750,000,000 FLDC are distributed, change the daily distribution to 125,000 FLDC Once 875,000,000 FLDC are distributed, change the daily distribution to 62,500 FLDC Once 937,500,000 FLDC are distributed, change the daily distribution to 31,250 FLDC Once 968,750,000 FLDC are distributed, change the daily distribution to 15,625 FLDC And so on… Calculating all these numbers, I found the important halving moments and can also give an estimation of the current available amount: 105,000,000 You get the following distribution for the upcoming ten years: The 1 billion will never be reached as it will keep halving. I might have made some miscalculations, but it should be pretty close to the actual numbers. This is fantastic! Could you change the dates on this easily? You are off by 2 days, March 17th is the halfing. I would love to post this Done

so who will distribute when we are old ? our kids ? or maybe in a few years there will be off-the-shelf cure for cancer, and no folding will be needed ? We all know diseases are gone in ten years and all work is done by robots in twenty.
