Over 4,000,000,000 LEAF has been traded on CoinMarket.io

Lets see how long it takes for CoinedUp to reach that volume Wink

I must admit i was impressed with how well your site coped, hope you can get it out of beta soon and become one of the main sites.

+1

Coinmarket is the the best new exchange I have ever used. I hope they keep it up once they are established.
802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PRT] Particle | CPU/GPU, Fast, Easy Mine, * NO PREMINE * | Official Thread on: January 31, 2014, 09:54:54 AM
Let's dream a little bit Grin:
What are your predictions about PRT price (PRT/BTC) by 2 weeks, month, 3 months, 6 months, year?

Well there is so few people willing to sell despite having 700 million in circulation that I believe it will go easily to 0.03$ within a month or so.

yes I was pleased to see not even a tiny dump when we got listed Smiley I am glad my laptop gave me the PRT it did.
803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [USDe] WEEK #2 § Steady Rise! - Unitary Status Dollar eCoin **LQQK** on: January 31, 2014, 09:53:38 AM
steadymining really REALLY needs to close registrations. It constantly hits 51%or more (it is while I'm typing this) and a fork in USDe could seriously hurt it's reputation. If you have a large hashrate, please consider switching to another pool. No matter where you mine, you will always get the same amount of coins over time.

Both poolerino and Steadymining have very high hashrates. What I`m even wondering is that both reporting over 500mhash, but the total net-hashrate is just 800mhash.... something is not right :S

That's why more people should turn to p2p mining!

p2pool are the best! It's easier to connect/set up and newbies will never have to complain about stolen coins from pools or pool hackers.

Nxt

Nxt

Nxt

Nxt

For the last one I am hesitating between Nxt and Nxt.

mah87 sors de ce corps  Undecided

Are you spying me ??

I'm gonna explain once for all why Nxt is superior to Bitcoin.

People are irrational. For them, 1 Bitcoin is 1 Bitcoin but under 1 Bitcoin, it's nothing.
If they cannot count it with their fingers, that doesn't mean anything, that doesn't exit.

Here is a simple example for you to understand :

- Hello, a double-cheese-burger.
- 0.00242694883 BTC please.
- ?? ?? ?? ?

The same with Nxt :
- Hello, a double-cheese-burger.
- 30 Nxt please.
- Here is.
- Enjoy your meal sir.

/zPOD]10 Reasons why Nxt is better than Bitcoin

I agree with you on NXT being superior, but the decimal argument just does not hold ground. It's just decimals, the comma can be moved etc. That cheese burger cost roughly 2,43 mBTC.

I am reading Bram Stoker's Dracula. I like how the book is written like a journal and letters.
806  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why do people keep on getting hacked? on: January 31, 2014, 09:22:14 AM
is a safe password enough to not get hacked?

lets say you have an account on MTGOX with a password that contains big and small letters
extra keys and numbers and is over 20 caracters long

is there still a chance getting hacked?

(except phising,keyloggers)

We are going to see more and more of this as time goes by. The number of noobs that are getting into bitcoin just keeps going up and up so we'll see more coins stolen. People don't like to hear that they are at fault, so the blame will fall on bitcoin and it will have a negative impact on bitcoin's reputation. But, yeah, rick pickings for thieves. Also opens up a door for those who can offer secure wallets. Unfortunately a lot of people have failed in that area so any newcomer will struggle to do it right.

I don't think most people are aware that they probably have had numerous Trojans on their computers. The Trojans are only discovered once something goes wrong (theft of accounts, data, money, etc). The general assumption is "I've never has a virus so why would I get one now?" I used to be like that, but not anymore.

I dont have an opinion, also I dont have anything against this coin. I am just asking for the reason why to invest in it. I can see it is popular, but neither of you guys told me why..

OK nature, got it!! But why the mapels coin didnt make it then?

I'm searching the same king of answers while wondering if I should hold or sell while the price is still high. I think all we'll be settled with the next halve it will either die because miner will stop mining without profitability or price will go up and miners will stay.

Thanks for your answers guys. Should I buy leafs on Coinmarket (I have never used it) or on the forum?

curious to know .....what convinced you now to buy leaf?

Nothing!  Smiley I will buy in just to follow the hype that follows the coin. I will probably take a profit and get out. Pure gamble on this one.

@ Real1Guy Koji si? Smiley

Welcome aboard. Popularity can get you a long way. Wink

810  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Goldman Sachs Involved in project Ethereum... ARE YOU F... KIDDING ME on: January 31, 2014, 12:13:08 AM
Well... I went from giving Ethereum a 8.5/10 to a 0/10.

Congrats to the Ethereum devs on creating the mark of the beast or something like that.

Ethereum is now officially DOA.

Edit: Down with the top 1% of the world!!! (excluding Satoshi of course)

It's disappointing, but I'll still spend some BTC on it.
811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You guys are really fucking up here. on: January 31, 2014, 12:11:10 AM
I am glad the alt coin section has not been closed. The variety and creativity is actually healthy. If the fiat currency was only u.s and no other currencies were allowed there would be no trading, nothing happening. We need these alternatives and it leads also to more technical innovation for the Future. I do suggest an alt currency giveaway section on it's own as it w :)ould drive traffic for that site but I would say peeps can only post there if they make at least  number of posts in other sections..Just my 2 bit.

And the altcoins does incredibly much for the overall popularity of cryptos.
812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your top 5 alt coins, in order? on: January 31, 2014, 12:09:36 AM
LTC, PPC, QRK, NXT & WDC. Which of the newer coins can come closer to this company is what I am looking forward to finding out this winter/spring.Those backed more by the comunitiy more than Tech&Specs seem to be doing best so far, but we will see in the end Wink
813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [USDe] WEEK #2 § Steady Rise! - Unitary Status Dollar eCoin **LQQK** on: January 31, 2014, 12:04:14 AM
but i know this is only the beginning.

It's actually hard to believe this coin is only less than half a month old.
The time so far has in my opinion been filled with enough potential, activity and development that would last on your average crapcoin to run profitable for months. Been around long enough to see them all launch, starting from bitcoin white sheet.
This might not be the bitcoin-killer, or then again... well at least in my eyes it looks like the most promising altcoin in a long time.
And believe me, I ain't shitting you when I say this is not crap.  Cheesy

Community, Dev, Service providers, thank you for being there. Let's all enjoy the long and steady ride. Remember, week #2.  Wink

Exactly
Thanks, it's really helped strengthen my faith in this coin.

It's so cool to think we are in week two and are so strong already Smiley
814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You guys are really fucking up here. on: January 31, 2014, 12:03:09 AM
Let them shut it down, Theymos is Bitcoin Rich enough that he doesn't need the extra hits.  I'd love to just move all the alt coin talk over to Cryptocoin Talk, the guy Jim who runs it is very accommodating.

I agree on Cryptocointalk. It could use more traffic (as long as we keep the goof etiquette and atmosphere).
815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt currency short term/February speculation on: January 30, 2014, 11:59:41 PM
February will start with a bang. I think we will see a steep rise in prices this weekend. I could be wrong, but I'm looking forward to trading.
816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★ DigiByte ★★ [DGB] - A Professional Cryptocurrency ✈ Android Wallet ✔ on: January 30, 2014, 11:51:50 PM
Dev Team Update:

We are working hard on finishing the new user tutorials, promo video and upgrading the website /server. We are also still planning out the DGB exchange.

Once we have all that done and we are on a few more exchanges we are going to make a marketing push to attract new users and merchants.

We are thinking of utilizing the FaceBook ad service at first. Since they allow you to target specific demographics such as people who have "liked" bitcoin, or computers or some sort of investment page.

We figure for a few grand we could put the DigiByte logo and brand in front of a few million people.

What do you guys think?

Any suggestions for Ad's, slogans or hot points to attract new users? Or goal is to become a bridge to attract new users into the crypto world.

Exiting times ahead, I like where it is going.

Once the exchange is up I say spend as much as you can on Direct Marketing, FB-ad and Google ads. A referral program for the exchange will create even more traffic. Contests and lotteries always draws a crowd, we could host those on FB/Twitter while all the ads are out. Prices can be anything with the logo on it, or just dgb related stuff. Basically cheap effects you can buy on alibaba and ebay or vouchers, apps/services.

We could contact the people at btcclicks, bitvisitor and other PTC sites and ask for a discount on ads. All their viewers know what bitcoin is.

Make sure the wallet is foolproof before the big marketing effort (no sync issues, etc). It should have new design corresponding with the logo to differentiate us, just like WDC, MEC and PRT. This is IMO the most important thing, the client is the buffer between the user and the product.

Can someone explain to me why leaf is so popular? Any special services in future for this coin? I am really trying to find the reason to buy it...

Thread is more than 110 pages, you've good book to read and search answers to your question. 2 beer and read, that's all.  Wink

We all know why it's so good Wink

820  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: mining coins on CPU and gpu on: January 30, 2014, 10:31:33 PM
Yes, but you will usually see the GPU hasrate drop once you turn on CPU mining. It is not recommended.
