Gentlemen, I am sure James and his team are extremely busy i would have thought. with any start-up, there will are always some teething problems. This can not be an easy project to build from scratch.
Remember there is nothing to stop you mining, the pool providers would be more than welcome to accept you into their pools.
The coin launched went very well as far as i am concerned, with some slightly over exaggerated mishaps at the first leg of the launch. It will now just be a matter of time before the products will be available to purchase from the online shop.

community coin/ IPO coin

This will not be some pointless coin again. I have plans to make this a community coin with a difference, based on recommendations from all the community and letting you guys decide what the best action to take on a coin design. Unlike so many other coins that call them self something different and turn out to be worthless. Inspired by the GPUcoin, i knew they were missing something vital to take the coin into a world of its own.. So with this in mind i approached some investor friends to see what they thought. Well i have mixed comments. Mainly due to the regulations behind the coin, but my idea was fast approved as a great idea. many of them tried to persuade me to go ahead with my plan. It's more about what i had planned to add to do with the coin that makes it interesting, if anything i would say that this project is more like 50% towards the coin and 50% towards building this coin into an investment for everyone involved, with the potential for rapid growth. very rapid, with lasting rewards. Whether that be for miners, investors or just coin users. What i have planned will be a fair project for everyone. with very little risk.. And with little risk there comes huge growth If enough of you think that this coin should not happen, then we will not continue and we receive no interest on this thread we will simply put a halt on the project.. It Would be a shame to not find out what i have planned. But if and when i start to prepare developers etc, I will continue with the project regardless.. Now, the rest is up to you all if you want to be with us or not. |

I am liking the input so far.
I feel that once we get a few suggestions on the name and algorithm onboard. We can then produce a poll for the ones you choose. run that for a week and see what happens. i do not want to rush this coin, everything has to be perfect..

Funny you should say that, i was told to pay for the coin myself. But i wanted to keep this project separate from my own personal wealth. Additionally to this, if i decide that an IPO would not be the right choice. I will pay for the coin myself, it's not about the money. Its about helping others and assisting the community build on digital currencies. |

He refused your idea? He didn't refused, he just didn't reply. But to be fair i never told him the full idea. just asked a question. Maybe he didn't want to reveal anything to me either. I'm feeling generous. The next 20 people who say they love this coin and love where it's headed, I'll give them 2500 GPU coins.  Just sick of the negativity. Too much of that in my normal life. I was waiting for an investment to pay out in the coming months. If not then i will be looking at an IPO. But need to get some figures together. The thing is i am not after infinite wealth. I want everyone to benefit from it. I would probably only do a 1% pre-mine for the stock and the platform etc... It would take about 3 months to setup. after the coin has been released. So the ipo members would need to accept that.

Sorry to derail with a tech issue, but... My vertminer has suddenly decided to stop working :/ I changed my bat file to connect to dedicatedpool's Amsterdam server: vertminer.exe --scrypt-vert -o stratum+tcp://amsterdam.eu.stratum.dedicatedpool.com:3367 -u Ritual.rit -p pass -d 0 --gpu-platform 1 -w 256 -I 13 --gpu-engine 1000 --gpu-memclock 1490 --thread-concurrency 8193 -g 2 --auto-fan --lookup-gap 2
Now I get a startup screen for vertminer saying "Started vertminer 0.5.3" and then it does nothing for about 30 seconds or so. After that the screen goes black. No output at all. It was mining away quite happily until now on a P2Pool :/ Anyone can help? Rit. Is your pool still operating. Come over to supernova, i am mining ok and been perfect for me with payouts etc non stop all day.. |

Guys, i think this was deliberate. This coin is far from dead. Think about it guys. Look further down the line.. Its not that difficult to see. Everything is perfectly clear for me.

I was thinking the same. maybe there are too many miners right now. Or the prices are just set too low. If someone wants to start a coin with me, then i can make the next big coin. I have a perfect idea that everyone will want. Ok it can be replicated easily. this is the only downfall. but by the time they get setup i would have captured the market like bitcoin. As unfortunate as it may be. There will be miners who will drop out due to mining profitability unless something changes this and i think it will be coming soon. I really would like to get something moving and begin a project with a coin of my own. But not sure really where to start. Any devs interested in joining me. I have an excellent internet marketer who is a pro.. I have website builders. Just need someone to work with me on the coin design and type.. I wanted to create another coin like dark coin. I love their algorithm. |

Been trying to get a handle on this...
So it goes something like this:
1) CEO does an IPO and uses funds from this to buy 80 GPUs.
2) He puts these up for sale on his store for GPUCoin only
3) He then ends up with 80 GPUs worth of GPUCoin
4) He now needs to buy new stock, but has no money and no BTC so...
5) He cashes in his GPUC to BTC/cash on an exchange to get cash for new stock
6) GOTO 2
The balance appears to be:
Driving prices down: Owner HAS to dump periodically (and in a lump) to buy in more stock.
Driving prices up: Faith in the coin, IF the store prices are reasonable, and people can mine it quickly enough to make it worth it.
I am missing something here. I just know I am. I can't quite see what's propping the price of this coin up in a few weeks time :/
Yes big dump of 80-100Millions will kill the coin (forgot already about wolong ? ) See this is where my idea will not kill the coin and explode the coin past litecoins and beyond. But he wont listen to me. |
