Seems to me the best thing to do is either not mine coins that are pre-mined by the dev Or just accept it and hope that they put the funds to good use and not run off. All investments are a gamble however you look at it.
Would be nice to hear what the developed has planned, to relieve some of the tension about this pending issue.

to pool.mn
wrong option --difficulty-multiplier 256 for this miner
SPH-sgminer for Windows: Download here SGMiner SOURCE for Linux: Download here Example miner settings:
./sgminer -k qubitcoin -o stratum+tcp://stratum.pool.mn:7823 -u Weblogin.Worker -p Worker password --difficulty-multiplier 256
and still rejected shares
Thanks, the option has been removed from the gettingstarted page. I haven't tried to mine myself, could you please confirm that you can mine with the same settings other qubit coins? I dont know why, but whenever i mine a coin, i can never include the text between sgminer and -o Not sure why so try and remove it. see what happens. This part: -k qubitcoin

No , but change your pool (look the efficiency) go here : http://xbit.nonce-pool.comEDIT : try it setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 sgminer.exe -k qubitcoin -o stratum+tcp://mine1.xbit.nonce-pool.com:4030 -u minerswing.1 -p 1 --no-submit-stale -I 18 I am getting : Share is above target? Working fine for me. I am mining at that pool. Just remember to change your user and password from the info above.

Virus on wallets, be careful, seems someone is trying to attack the wallets of cryptos and steal coins. Zipcoin had a virus that seened to be downloaded on the 4/8/2014 before that you should be ok, but after that date till the 5/8/2014 approx 12pm GMT it looks suspect. Remember always Backup your wallets and move to more secure location, check this download: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B9AVjo3qD9DAbHBGQ0hadTZlY1E/edit?pli=1

Yeah Dude oreoeater is a noob so I uploaded the file that I hadn't emptied from the recycle bin so people could run it on a virtual machine and see how the trojan worked...if anything I hope some coder can figure it out so we can prepare ourselves for future etc... Nice one..

well if you don't like this coin u can see your way out Don't worry this coin wont last long. They never do.. but if it does then good luck with it.

It's important for people to know. The original file exists and can be inspected. This may turn out to unfortunately be a new tactic.
- Release new coin with "special" wallet - After 30 minutes change it to the clean wallet - Wait a few days and watch a small group claim they had coins stolen - The larger group will have the clean file and it will look like the small group of victims are just fudders - Someone makes off with the stolen wallets of the victims
Hey, someone with a brain..

If you like i can send you the file i downloaded from the main source and then let you see for yourself how the virus works.

look at the op guys, its from zipdev the wallet you noobs downloaded is form a guy named zipdev _ DIFFERANT PEOPLE, SECOND ONE IS JUST A COPYCAT SCANNER THAT GOT U NOOBS WHO DONT PAY ATTENTION TO DOWNLOAD A FAKE WALLET. GOOD JOB never dl anything except from OP ANN!!!
What? the fake zipdev _ made his first post like 30 mins ago and he didnt even post any wallets. I downloaded the wallet from the OP and so did others. Can everyone who comes across this post check the directory C:\users\MyUsername\Appdata\Local\Spoon\Sandbox\Zipcoin-Qt\2.0.0.0\local\stubexe and look for 2 files, 1 called ztor.exe and the other is zipcoin-qt.exe Im pretty sure the zipcoin-qt.exe in the stubexe directory is only named that and not the actual wallet itself Be sure to enable hidden files and folders http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/show-hidden-files-in-windows-7/These are the viruses. EDIT: netsh.exe is also in there For information.: https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/13908-zipcoin-zip-information/

GOOD JOB never dl anything except from OP ANN!!! i have seen this on every coin i cant beleive u guys fall for it, must be noobies or fakers fudding theirs been 6 btc of zip eaten by one guy from his 10 btc buywall and he still is leaving 4btc more to get sold into. this is so obvious a fudd attempt for ppl to get rid of all their cheap coins while a whale collects, nobody buys 10btc of a shitcoin without a plan, get a clue ppl go look at bittrex his buywall is still up
I only visit these shithole sites on a rare occasion i need to find something out. otherwise i wouldnt waste my time here and if arseholes didnt keep fucking about with peoples lives i wouldn't need to be here now. Look the wallet is clean, its the ztor.exe file thats infected. But wont let me upload it to test it on virustotal. odd Anyone got any other solutions so i can test it. i am about to run an antivirus to test.

Yeap, virustotal does not prove it's clean. I'm almost convinced that all this is not just FUD to get cheap coins. BTW, why don't you guys encrypt your wallets? That's why encryption is there for. To avoid situations like this. Are you sure you are nothing to do with this virus. If we encrypt the wallet, you or the keylogger will have access to all our coins. Are you for real..

Is there a link to a virustotal report that shows the qt wallet with the trojan?
Unfortunately I have formatted the infected PC. Didnt really want it hanging around my network with all the miners and other PC's So you try to warn other people without any kind of proof except for your word? That's funny, even if this wallet actually contained a virus. What's your credibility? Look im just here to warn people, for me if I was standing on the outside it is clear as day what is going on here. And im not the only person. But everyone can make their own decisions up, whatever, my BTC and all other coins I had on that PC are gone so I have nothing to lose or gain here. I haven't opened my wallets yet to see if anything is missing on other coins. I also didn't have any coins in the zipcoin wallet as i only started yesterday. so left them on the pool. Just not sure whether to format which will take a day of two due to the info i have on the comp. Or just open and find out the hard way. lol

I realized that something tried to perform a man-in-the-middle attack on my remote desktop connection to the machine where I had the ZIPC wallet. Careful, this might do a lot more than just steal wallets.
I'm actually kind of impressed.
LOL. I'm actually impressed with your abilities! Would you be kind enough to tell us how you figured it out, ace? You get a big-ass warning message when the server's encryption key changes for some reason. Doesn't take any abilities to notice other than the ability to read. OK. This is a good warning. Seriously, are you sure this wallet was the cause? Yes i tested it and ran the wallet only to watch the file being added to its installation folder. When the zipcoin wallet is shut down the file still sits there in the taskmanager running in memory waiting for your inputs.
